OUR FIRST FAMILY HOLIDAY // Skiing with a baby - Jamie and Megan 

Can we all just take a second to dote over how adorable Rupert is. He is just so precious. Gorgeous baby boy.

I'm so happy you'guys are holidaying. And having a great time. It's very nice.

This is what it looks like when parents take the time to care for themselves and give themselves a break. It's ok to take time and be away from your child for a bit. In the end, he profits because you're rested and relaxed and are able to be better parents. It also teaches him how to care for himself. It's a win for everyone!! With that said, who knew we were going to be party to some amazing skiing and boarding!! Way to navigate that ice patch Megan. For a sec I thought we were going to see you go flying, and not in a good way! How fast can next Sunday come so we can see the rest of this fun and relaxing journey??

Traveling with a baby, especially by air, is a challenge but you got through it and looks like Ru was not disturbed too much. Great location and wonderful views. Thank you for sharing.

I enjoyed skiing in New England in my younger years- snow is the best fun! The air is fresh and the scenery is breath taking! What an Amazing view you have. I have never been snow skiing I went to Michigan as a teenager and we were going to go snow skiing but there wasn't enough snow so they could put fake snow down. On the last day we were leaving there was enough snow to do it but we had to leave it was a Sunday my parents had to work and I had school so we had a 10 hour drive back home so we left at 6:00 a.m. no skiing for me I did get to learn how to water ski I really enjoyed doing it. I haven't done it much we spent a week on a lake I went everyday except 2 we were there 10 days had a blast. Be safe skiing and be safe going home. Rupert is getting so big I sure hope he's sleeping better now for you and his belly is alot better now too. Know what it's like to have a baby with belly problems. My oldest daughter was sick for 4 months she cried all night long. I had to put her in the car every night so my husband could sleep I drove around for 5 hours or more everytime I stopped she woke up and started crying again. The bad part I was in the hospital 17 days i hemorrhaged after her C-section. I was on bedrest for 3 months but didn't have a choice because she cried all night long. My husband had to work he worked out of town sometimes for a week at a time on those weeks I was able to stay home but still was up all night long with her waking up every few minutes. The doctor finally started her on a medication that caused her belly problems to go away I was so mad he couldn't start it sooner we were at the doctor every 2 weeks if not more letting him know how bad she was. After that I found out I was pregnant again she was born a year and 6 days after my first daughter was born. She didn't have any problems but I spent 13 days in the hospital with her. I hemorrhaged again after my C-section and 2 years later I had my 3rd daughter I was in the hospital 8 days with her. Wasn't as bad but still hemorrhaged with her. They all stayed in the hospital as long as I was in there because of lung issues following the C-sections. But didn't have to use anything just took awhile for them to not have any problems.

Neve ski’d before but everyone I know has had an accident at some point. That puts me off.

Thanks for sharing. I live Southern Cali. I am 30 mins from snow, the desert and the beach, in different directions of course. I have never been skiing. :( Not because of fear though. I have a physical disability that prevents the ability of wearing skiis. I have been snow tubing though, does that count? Looks like you had a fabulous time.

I have never been skiing but it might be kinda cool to do while I have good health insurance
