I live in the US and I was nine years old when she was crowned Queen. At the time we did not have a television but I do remember seeing her coronation in the news reels at the movie theater. Such an elegant and lovely lady. Thank you for sharing your pilgrimage to show your respect.

This is now the "current thing" - who can grieve the best!

They say you'll never forget where you were when you heard the news. We were on an excursion off of a cruise to Alaska. On our way back to the ship the bus driver announced the Queen's passing. It was such sad news for all of us. When we got back on the ship you could feel the sadness all over the place. They paused all shows that night to show respect for Queen Elizabeth. The whole world morns the loss of the Queen.

Jamie ty so much for this video yes I’m crying also as I watch from the states. London is and was my dream since I was 5 I don’t watch the Royals weekly or monthly but yes daily. To see these land marks of history was speechless. I’m 59 and truly thought I would someday see the Queen from afar was such a dream I’ve now lost. RIP my dear Queen.

Well done to everyone who queued for many hours and days especially in the cold. My parents and I are really disappointed we couldn’t make the queue. We watched the funeral and procession on the telly over the weekend and celebrated the Queen and the Royal Family. Huge love and respect to everyone involved onscreen and off. The fact you went on your own is no big deal, I went by myself

We managed to go early morning Thursday too, must have been just behind Jamie as joined the queue at 5.30am! We were out by 10.15am so just under 5 hours which was super quick. I think the queue only got longer from then on. Great to be a part of the experience though wasn't it and pay our respects

thanks for sharing as I walk with a mobility aid and just had spinal surgery I couldnt do it , do disabled have their own shorter queue and have to show a blue badge ?? and how do you not loose your place in the queue to go to the toilet or get a hot drink as wait time is so long ? xx
