This is our second go around with JINJER, WOW she blew us away. We are now reacting to her LIVE AT WACKEN 2019 performing PERENNIAL. Is Dee now a believer?
I recommend that you watch "Judgement and Punishment" ( One Take Vocal Performance). You will get to see her technique up close. The more one listens to the growling, the more words one can understand. A small suggestion, don't forget to go back a little in the video once you pause it. It helps with the continuity. Good reaction.
Yeah I agree I tell her all the time to go back but lol .. and we will definitely react to that.. We're enjoying them so much .. Thanks for watching and we will go back from now on out thanks ..
I third this! And after that, watch the live performance of "who is gonna be the one" live. The official one from Napalm Records. There you will see one of her best stage performances ever, and one of her deepest live growls ever. It is almost all growling in this performance, except for a little surprise 🙂 Also "pit of conciousness" live from kiev is another excellent demonstration of her talent. Incidentally these are also excellent examples of the awesomeness of the whole band!
I saw Tatiana live this summer. She’s a badass. Nothing less. Nothing more. Enjoy the ride. She ducks you in. EVERY song is great!! One of there more few to check out is Vortex and Wallflower. They are a Ukrainian metal band. Prayers for their home country. 💙💛💙💛 Love your reactions!
Hi Flames! The reason Tatiana can switch from clean to growls and back, and growl without roughening her clean voice or injuring her throat, is that the growl does _not_ use her vocal chords. With her technique (which other metal singers also use), the 'true' vocal chords/folds are open and relaxed, and the growl is produced by the 'false vocal chords' aka vestibular folds that lie just above the true vocal chords in the larynx. They're what you use when you cough, for example. Unlike the true chords, the vestibular folds do not have the necessary nerves and muscles to produce and vary pure tones, which is why her growls lack 'tune'; however, they can be given some varied 'textures' by using different mouth-cavity shapes and using tooth and sinus cavity resonances (which trained 'conventional' singers also do, although most listeners aren't aware of it).
There are a few other women in metal who can growl as well as Tatiana. But I think Tati is one of the best front woman in metal becuase she can really perform on stage while she sings.
Regarding her "Satanic" voice, Ttwins: Tatiana (who's not singing as someone possessed, so you can toss the garlic back into the spaghetti sauce) wrote an incredible story and sang about it the way it deserved to be sung... as with most of her songs. Some vocalist just keep singing in their nice and charming voice even when the lyrics call out desperation. Not so with Tati. Her extreme expression - a rare ability - adds so much more to a song... especially if you follow the music with the lyrics and how the beautiful cacophony tells the story.
If you want to hear some clean vocals I highly recommend bad water live by them. Another good one is cloud factory live as well. Safe travels in the Jinjer rabbit hole!!
Judgement and Punishment One Take Vocal is a good one to watch her do all this in the studio. At the beginning of the video below is a clip of her doing a short bit of growl in the studio as well. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gakVMC-Y_Zk.html
Go back in time to 2014 "Who's Gonna Be The One Live" it is a fabulous demonstration of this band almost 10 years ago now. She's been doing this for years. There is also "Outlander" or "Scissors" a very young Tatiana then. Great Reactions! Really enjoy what you're doing. Off Jinjer, have you done "To The Hellfire" by, Lorna Shore yet? That is all males but, this video and tune, is a masterpiece. In the beginning it is strange the vocal technique but it will flow into the monster of the opera/deathcore it is. Peace On Ya
Don't try it at home :) You could damage your vocal chords easily. If you are practicing to growl and feeling the pain in your throat - it's a signal that you are doing something wrong. No pain with a proper technique. Tatiana said once that to growl is easier than to sing. When she needs rest during the concert sometimes she replaces some clean parts of the songs to harsh vocals just because it takes less energy. Try to check out "Judgement and Punishment" ( One Take Vocal Performance). Just a mic and Tatiana. And minus track with the music. And the cat. Somebody could surmise that there's also a lion behind the camera.
To see Tatiana's full live vocal range, watch this ONE TAKE performance she dropped so casually @ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q5rg_63Shqg.html 🤘
I'ts a singing technique and enyone can learn it and it has nothing to do with vocal effort and is completely harmless when you learn the right technique . And it has nothing to do with demons . the devil or similar ?
