I remember watching Tatiana describe what she does once and she said that she "sings and dances for Jinjer". As opposed to many singers who might describe what they do as "sing and stand there like a potato" if they were honest. Big stage, small stage she owns it.
As a musician, I recommend another Jinjer live recording that Jeff Wellman has already suggested: JINJER - Who Is Gonna Be The One (Live) | Napalm Records and as far as the reggae vibe is concerned, maybe a double feature: JINJER - Judgement (& Punishment) (Official Video) JINJER - Judgement (& Punishment) - Tatiana Shmayluk - One Take Vocal Performance warm greetings from germany
It's true given the band's origins. In their early days they made a rides at their minivan for the hundreds of miles to some village to take a part in a local micro fest in front of a couple of dozens spectators who didn't have an idea who is Jinjer. And they did it for the food and the fuel literally. But also for the experience and for some kind of promotion. That was their way to spread their name among the metalheads.
Jinjer is one of those rare bands that sounds even better live than in studio versions of their music/songs. I saw an interview with Eugene a while back that seemed to indicate they really pride themselves on being great LIVE since they literally made their living by touring for so many years that they HAD to be great live! If you've got the stamina for it, yall should do a reaction to the full set from Hellfest 2021, it's a spectacular performance! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1Ur0xJ-bNlQ.htmlsi=hyVbcJO4qzfViIXS And I most definitely agree, Tati is an incredible front for Jinjer!
Great band, lots of great songs. Since you have already mentioned their (her) fascination with reggae music, I would like to add that they are also fascinated by Opeth music, and that's what I wanted to mention, the reaction to some live song, some of the best concerts are "Red Rock" and "Royal Albert Hall". Thx and best regards.
