Wow! I expected to get some views and a few comments on this reaction but I'm blown away. Wasn't expecting this many views,likes and comments especially not this quick. Ren sure does have a very solid and supportive fan Base. You guys are Awesome, thx for taking time out of your day to watch our reaction. We are definitely Looking forward to checking out more Ren.

Number 2 is has a lyric video and acapella version; watch the lyric video first. Then check 'Seven Sins', 'Sick Boi', 'Losing It' and many others. For fun react to 'Love Music 1, 2, 3 and 4'. Then more fun 'What you Want', 'Uninvited'. Ren has a ton of thought provoking music too like 'Dominoes', 'Hi Ren', etc. You have a ton of work to react through--good luck. Ren alone would grow your channel.

All the information here was gathered exclusively from sources Ren personally approved for public release. Ren is a Welsh musician/independent artist/producer, self-taught multi-instrumentalist. He pursued a career in music from an early age. In 2009, while studying music performance at Bath Spa University, Ren began to experience health issues and was struggling to attend his lectures, which eventually caused him to discontinue his studies and return home. In addition, Ren was signed by Sony Records in 2010 and was working on an album when his health deteriorated to the point that he was unable to go on; consequently, his contract with Sony was dissolved. Ren would later relocate to Brighton. Ren's illness often kept him in bed for up to 23 hours daily. Ren was initially misdiagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder, and chronic fatigue syndrome, which led him to experience psychosis and develop PTSD. It would take seven years before a doctor in Belgium finally correctly diagnosed Ren with autoimmunity, Lyme disease, and resulting damage to the brain, organs, joints, and PTSD. Ren eventually underwent stem cell therapy in the United States, which improved his health, but it has not been a cure. Ren is in Calgary, Canada undergoing treatments such as IV therapy and other interventions five days a week, as well as surgeries (wisdom tooth removal and cavitation surgery). His Canadian doctor discovered that Ren also developed a condition called Mast Cell Activation Disorder (MCAD), which has affected the myelin sheath in his brain, his thyroid, and adrenals as well as his bones/joints. Hence, Ren is receiving additional treatments for this previously undiagnosed condition. He recently took a break from treatments and returned to the UK to visit family and friends, and to produce some very ambitious musical projects to be released soon. Ren has so much different stuff ,Hip Hop rap tracks in different styles, sung ballads, songs like bardic storytelling, and every single one is special and deep stuff in message and meaning because he is truely a master in expressing things verbally and musically (he writes his own lyrics and makes his own Hip Hop beats and he is composing his songs all by himself which is a lot work but also the benefit of being an independent artist who then can do what ever he wants) but also visually he is absolutely nailing it in his videos which are foremost "one take/one shot live performance recordings" like this one Let me put it this way... I was avoiding the HI REN thumbnail but it was always popping up. I finally figured the only way to get it to go away was to watch it. Holy balls was I ever wrong. Still watching it! Since that first watch, I've watched over 200 reactions (closer to 300) and I'm always seeking out ones I haven't seen. That's how I found you. I have managed to get a grip on my waterworks and quiver chin but I'm still giddy when I find a new reaction. Feeling butterflies in my stomach, I mumble, "They have no idea what they're in for..." Welcome to the rabbit hole of Ren, you're going to love it, great reaction by the way. One thing though, and I'm not trying to throw shade, I swear, but the audio quality on our end was almost unlistenable. Your mics sounded fine, but I'm not sure what's going on with the audio, usually when people have bad audio it's because they aren't using headphones, and we're hearing the sound recorded by the cheap mic that manufacturers install on laptops or PCs. When you plug in headphones, most PCs switch the audio input (recording) to "source" or "stereo mix" if you're using Windows. Make sure you don't have the PC audio setting set for "pass through" or something similar, that allows the music to go PC external speakers, make sure it's recording from "source" or "stereo mix", that way it takes the sound directly from the youtube video the way the artist uploaded it. Hit me up if you have any other questions. Take care!

Ren has definitely helped me find a balance of what's bad and good in myself and learning to accept that and try and live my life. Yes there's always going to be hard times and bad thoughts but learning to deal with it has been great. I gave up on myself years ago, now I'm getting the help I've needed for a long time. When I was 18 I was in a really bad car accident, I had a broken lower back and multiple places in my pelvis my legs and feet were crushed and I have a brain injury which affects my memory and balance, now I live with chronic pain. I'm aiming on getting better doing hydrotherapy and physio, seeing a therapist, ect .When we know better we do better. Loved your reaction, hope you can check out some of his other songs. New sub from Scotland here. Keep diving into Ren's back catalogue. He also used to play in a group called The Big Push; you might try one of their originals called "Sweet Little Lady" (NOT the live version as the video he made with all his friends in it is much better, imo).

There is no best song or video. There are so many different vibes inside this dude's realm of experience, thoughts and creativity it's mindblowing. My personal best right now, it switches every week, are: Genesis, Murderer and Illest of our time. But with the Sick Boi album and Money game 3 dropped, Seven sins and Loco are right up there. If you are impressed by Hi Ren, knowing it's a one take video, you gotta see the tale of Jenny and Screech. If you want more on the subject, see Sick Boi or Diazepam. For amazing duets Ocean or Chalk Outlines, for a deep and compelling view on society, go for Money game 1, 2 and 3. Just choose one and get on it. You don't wanna miss out on this one.

I suggest you watch 'Money Game 1, 2, and 3' in that order. 'Money Game 2' has a lyric video and acapella version; watch the lyric video first. 'Sick Boi' is an amazing rap song and you might do that one next. For fun, react to Ren flexxing his rap skills in 'Losing It'; it is a rap over an older EDM track of the same name. 'Suicide' is a beautiful and heatfelt message about suicide and a personal story about a friend. 'Love Music 1, 2, 3, 4' is a series of rap songs that are just awesome fun.

Welcome to Ren's rabbit hole. Make sure to check out his other stuff. Also things he did with his buddies in a band called the big push. Rap, blues, rock, pop, ballads , reggae , artsy, undefinable whatever, he does it all but the main thing you caught on straight, it's always sincere and with such a undeniable burning passion.

Great reaction but I agree with the audio issues mentioned. I suggest you stay on the line of his illness initially and check out Chalk Outlines (Live) with Chinchilla about dealing with drugs for his medication then maybe The Hunger for rap or Loosing it. Many of his songs are one take. Screech & Jenny Trilogy is imaginative story telling beyond belief and has to watched together to understand the story. Ren suffered for years with his health and was miss diagnosed for years with mental health when he eventually found out he had Lyme disease which has damaged him mentally and is still been treated for it as we speak. He covers all genres and his hard to put in any box and each genre is superb. He also played with a group called The Big Push worth checking out they're fantastic. He just reached number 1 in the download charts in the UK with Sick Boi coming from an independent artist that's unreal as he couldn't promote it as he's having treatment in Canada.

Unlike his lyrics in this song, his new album just dropped at #1 in the UK. No label, no backing aside from his fans. He's amazing.

The guy in the pig mask at the start of the video is Blizzpig (Sean Livesey) from the band Evil Blizzard. IF you do a reaction to that band you will see him there. He and Ren are friends. This video was done live in ONE take, though it took 4 attempts. He was born on Anglesey, Wales, UK in 1990 and loves in Brighton, UK. Ren was treated for mis-diagnosed mental health issues for 7 years before finally being correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease. He is currently in Canada receiving treatment to try and undo the damage that was caused.
