A high school musical set in the 1950’s, made in the 1970’s, that follows the ups and downs of the romance and friendship of the two main characters, Sandy and Danny, you saw singing in this song. This is the penultimate song that brings Sandy and Danny back together after many mistakes and misunderstandings.

In this movie Olivia Newton John was a singer acting in a movie & John Travolta was an actor singing in a movie but it worked out. The movie was very successful. 💃🕺🏼

K..gunna school u guys on Grease..it was originally a Play..other then the carnival at the end..the movie was filmed at my high school Venice high..Venice California 90291! At the Venice high bicentennial we had a HUGE party at Venice high..the car from Grease lightning was there..we had a Huge parade and that day we got in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most skateboarders in a venue..Skateboarding from Venice beach up VENICE BLVD. to Venice high!! Every summer on the field we have a Sing-along..to the movie 'Grease' is played on a Blow up drive-in screen..i had this 8 track when i was a kid..a 8 track was a giant rectangle type of cassette..before cassettes...Grease is about a goody girl and a Greaser boy (two opposites) fall in love..so the song you just watched was at the end were she dresses like a greaser chick to surprise and keep his attention and then he had lettered in track to surprise her!!..The T-Birds was the boys gang and the Pink ladies was the girls gang...my daughter had a grease bday party where the kids dressed like the characters from the movie..i cant believe it! You guys gotta watch the movie..soo cool..Every girl my age knows ALL the songs! Try the song 'Grease lightning'...a handful of movies were filmed at Venice high along w music video's....Venice high school Gondoliers!! Go GONDOS!!! ...Im Class of 91'....Love from L.A.✌😎

The movie came out in the late 70s and a Olivia was mostly known as a country singer and Travolta was known from Welcome Back, Kotter. A couple of years after this film Olivia released her Physical album, which was her transition to pop music. The title song, Physical, was the biggest song of the 1980s.

I was obsessed with Olivia Newton-John as a kid.. around 11 and 12 I had her pictures all over my wall, and listened to her early music constantly... I wanted to be "just like her" when I grew up. I have seen this movie over 25 times it's my all time favorite. This is John Travolta as Danny and Olivia Newton John as Sandy. This is one of his first break out movies. He was in Saturday night fever were the Bee Gees sang some of the songs you have reviewed. Also Olivia Newton John is a accomplishment singer who is playing the character Sandy. The story is about a guy who met a girl in the summer at a beach She was visiting from Australia, but her family end up staying in America. He sees her at school and was happy to see her. But his friends didn't like it so he started acting like a jerk. So she ignored him the whole school year. This is the end of the movie we're she changed her goodie to shoes image. And him trying to be a athlete to please her. Very good movie.

You should check out the music of Olivia Newton-John. She has had quite a diverse career with different styles of music from country to pop to rock to new age. Huge Summer hit movie of 1978 set in the 50's. Also had a hit soundtrack and 50's sounding songs that hit the charts during the era of Disco. A collection of young actors who most of them would later go on to bigger roles: Olivia Newton-John (Recording artist) and actor (Saturday Night Fever) John Travolta. Grease also included respected classic actors of tv and movies of the 50's-60's. And my favorite movie since I was 8 - Yes! I am that old that I saw it when it came out at a drive-in and had the soundtrack on an 8-track tape. (Look up any unknown words or ask me)

I saw Grease in 100 times. It was the biggest hit as all time. You boys should watch it. You all will be enjoying it and watch all over again. Trust me, you guys would be glad that you did. Olivia Newton-John was the most singer at all time. It almost like Olivia was almost reach to top of Michael Jackson. She did met him in person. She was adored him and he was like “ Dang! Olivia. You are looking so fine” I saw on Facebook the photo between two of them in black and white photo. Someone that I read one of the comments saying about Fame was also smashed hit tv shows. Fame was more dancing, acting and some singing. Grease was more almost everything. Fame was good and a songwriter Irene Cara wrote that song “Fame” was phenomenal .

You hit it, Grease was a musical starring John Travolta (did you recognize him? lol). It's set in the 50's, that's how they're dressed. It came out in the late 70's, I was in 7th grade and it was such a hit that it inspired an entire 50's retro thing that year. Lots of 50's style music, videos, etc..... copy-cat stuff.

The guy singing is the same guy who’s in pulp fiction who does the dance with uma Thurman. He is a big time actor and this movie is just one of very many successful films he’s been in. But people still to this day ask him to preform songs and moves from grease. Grease was also a play being preformed way before this movie was made. The guy singing was actually in the play playing a different character before the movie was made.

I saw the original play at Kingston mines in Chicago. It was a very small theater and based on high school experiences in the 50. If then went to Broadway first and then to the movie. Brings back many memories

Summer of 1978 "Grease"named for the era late 1950's, the movie, of the Broadway Hit Musical play, & the phenomenal sound track from them, John Travolta & Olivia Newton John.

When my son was in middle school I offered him and his heavy metal band mates $100 each if they would reenact the scene/song from Grease, called Grease Lighting. They wouldn't do it. It's so amazingly cheeseball and awesome.
