I’ll admit, I didn’t wait until marriage but the relationship I’m in we just felt ready. It’s definitely made me appreciate my body more because he doesn’t see it the way I do, he just sees me and loves me and he doesn’t see what I think is wrong with me. Just like I don’t see the things he thinks are wrong with him. The right person can change your whole perspective on the world and life, and because of him I’m starting my own path and getting closer to God and he’s shown me things I never knew about myself. You guys truly love each other, I can see it. It’s so beautiful. True love can be found young, though it doesn’t happen often. I guess some of us are just lucky enough to find it young. Sex shouldn’t be such a taboo subject. Sex isn’t just for making babies and yes woman are allowed to actually enjoy sex if it feels good. Christians make it seem so forbidden it’s annoying. But I respect your decisions and everyone is entitled to believe what they want. I just wish Christians wouldn’t put such a negative connotation on it
It’s not a forbidden thing amongst Christians. God literally created it, it’s a great & beautiful thing. It comes across as negative because Christ followers aren’t supposed to have sex before marriage:)
Agreed. We are sexual creatures. Women and men both love sex!! It’s not bad to have sex before marriage, there’s nothing wrong with sleeping who you want to sleep with, and there’s nothing wrong with waiting! It’s all about personal preference. Do you!

Just because you can’t see God doesn’t mean he’s not real. I’d rather live my life following Christ than regret it when Jesus comes the last time for his children who are saved. This made me so happy. Hearing about how you guys prayed and waiting gives me hope. My biggest fear in life is never finding someone who loves me, has the same Beliefs as me and wants to wait. I feel like everyone now around my age have lost their virginity at like, 14. Even the people at my church I know smokes weed during the week and I feel like there is hardly anyone anymore that sicks with there morals and I don’t want to settle for less. It doesn’t help that people around me that I trust have tried to ‘diagnose’ me with a sexuality because here I am, going into college, and I haven’t found anyone attractive like that. I’m in college, and I’ve never had a crush. Weirdly that scares me.

I think the best answer to this is to not be alone. When you feel temptation coming on, go out in public. If you’re having a long period of it, then stay away from each other until it passes and keep communication to the phone and texting. Be sure to check to see that it is love and not lust. That is hugely important. If you’re old enough to get married and mature enough, your relationship is ready for that and you know that God means for you to be together, then take a leap of faith and get married. You will be pleasing a God. As St. Paul said, this is one reason for marriage. I know you weren’t asking for a random person’s advice, but I’ve been married for 15 years. I dealt with this before I was married to my husband. Best to you!

I just want to say thank you Hurst family because I am 16 years old and I am a Christian as well. My family are missionaries in Peru and this is a topic I talk about with my mom as well and to see a young people like yourselves who have been raised in the faith and who did their relationship the right way is very encouraging to me. I look up to you guys and I want to have a godly relationship and I want it to be done in the right way so thank you for setting that example for every young person out there.
The perspective from a Christian girl who is waiting for marriage, I would say these are the main bulletin points I would love to be covered from a woman in more depth and also the answers I have received from a lot of personal research. Also I do want to say that the man's perspective is also really important and valued!! 1. Girl, does it hurt? Most typical answer: It's different for everyone 2. Is it awkward? Most typical answer: (again, this is from a Christian waiting till marriage point of view) Not really. 3. Was it a good experience? Most typical answer: I would say it was; we're still learning but it was definitely a positive experience.

I would LOVE a video on your journey writing a book, like I have written a lot and would love to get my own books published one day. It would be super helpful to me to hear what struggles you went through to get a book published and on the market or if it was easy and any advice? I'm also around your age, I'm 20, and it seems impossible in my head to get one of my books out in the world while I'm still this young. Nick, I can totally relate being a tall skinny guy and what that self perceived insecurity can bring. I want to thank you both for your experience and insight because I am recently engaged and will be getting married in about 6 months!
I know you weren't asking me but Im a Christian and hopefully I have close to the same view as them haha. But I think drinking alcohol is okay as long as its legally and that you dont abuse it. I consider getting drunk/drinking to the point where you lose judgment, which is too far.
@Prince Chamberlain first that's so exciting for her! And secondly, I agree I think it should be avoided, but I also think that's its okay if you know your boundaries/limits. Obviously if you're easily addicted you shouldnt drink so you're not tempted but if you're not then I think it'll be okay to have one or two.
