Fun fact: nautilus was a person in the really old stile dive suit. His crew cut the line from him to the boat. So he sank and a sea god turned him into a titan. That is why he is so big with the anker :D

I am almost overwhelmed with how excited I am at all the possibilities that Riot has to explore the rest of Runeterra in Arcane-style shows and films. Not only are there the stories of over 100 characters to explore, but all the different continents and nations they come from have themselves such a plethora of diverse stories to tell. From civil war, to imperial expansion, to ghost stories, to heists and hijinks, to cosmic horror, to love stories, there's a little something for everyone. Or, if you're like me, a never-ending world of beautiful art. What a time to be alive.

Props to the editor for curating these for you both. Glad he's starting with earlier stuff so you can see LoL content evolve over the years. Can't wait for y'all to get to Kin of the Stained Blade!

3:55 lucky for you, one of the cinematics is about her and her origin. I'm sure you will eventually reach it if your editor prepared a list of all the good cinematics.

If you want to learn about the full Lore or backround of any character or the world its self I recommend checking out a guy named Necrit he has a lot of easy to understand videos.

Let me try to explain: there are some cinematics made to promote new champions released to the game. There are also musical cinematics that tell a little about the game's history and generally these are the cinematics of the annual League of Legends season (Also only musical too, without connection to main lore). And there are some with the sole purpose of telling stories about Runeterra. (Sorry about my English, isnt my First language)

The Call is one of my favorite cinematics ever! It's amazing ❤

Not only is Ryze (with the book and the scroll on his back) a mage, for a loong time people assumed that he's actually the mage that saves Jayce and his mom in episode 2. But other than both mages using teleport spells, there's hasn't been much to back up that theory.

I am so pysched for you guys to watch the more recent cinematic trailers! "The Call", "Still Here" and especially "Warriors" because Vi and Caitlyn are featured in it!

Great stuff guys, hope we see more League of Legends cinematics going forward as the quality of the animation and the storytelling just gets better and better.

You should watch "The Call of Power". People normally dont talk about it, but for me, it's one of the best. And you get to see a little bit of why Heimerdinger is afraid of magic powers and what happened during the Rune Wars.

You should watch Tales of Runeterra to get to know the regions, even if you're following a release order, it will improve your experience even more. I'll try to help a little: Demacia - Medieval Europe inspired, have been in conflict with Noxus for a while. They hate mages due to the rune wars, a historical even really important for runeterra lore. Noxus - Ancient Rome inspired. Very imperialist and try to dominate other regions, some of the characters use magic and some are more gladiator-like. Has a misterious character (LeBlanc) that is behind most events in current runeterra lore and people thought Mel was her for some reason lol Freljord - Scandinavia inspired, think vikings, demigods and a family beef that would give George R. R. Martin a run for his money. Has a connection with the void and the watchers. Targon - Ancient Greece inspired, the aspects are like greek gods and the tribes live around the Mount Targon which is like the Mount Olympus. Ionia - Asian inspired, ninjas, samurai, monks, mages. Most fanfavorite characters are from there like Ahri. Shurima - Ancient Egypt inspired, has a connection with the void. Ixtal - Mesoamerican inspired, jungle creatures like Rengar, a race called Vastaya that have a lot of subspecies around Runeterra. It's a newer region so there's not that much characters. Shadow Isles - inspired by ancient Carthage, Rome and Alexandria, used to be a beautiful realm with magic until Viego (the ruined king) fucked things up and they all became ghosts, there's something called the mist that haunts people in other regions (mostly Bilgewater, but during Ruination, Viego attacked other regions and controled other champions). Bilgewater - Pirates, sea monsters, sea gods, demons and ghosts. Bandle City - a magic realm that only Yordles (fey creatures like Heimerdinger, Smeech and that brothel lady in Zaun) The Void - another dimension where creatures called voidling and the watchers live, the void is believed to be a living thing that wants to consume all runeterra.

Tbh, the newer "Still Here" cinematic is in fact perfection. But I love watching everything they put out ;-;

Like Alex said in bridging the rift episode 1, these two cinematics are just "fight porn", just to showcase different champions fighting each other. None of these encounters are canon, is just to show what a 5 v 5 game feels like. After a new dawn riot would start putting actual lore into the new season cinematics, if I'm not mistaken the first one would be awaken. Btw, every year there's a new season cinematic around the first week of January, and also a worlds music video around October/November. Other extra cinematics like cinematics for a new skinline or something like that may also be released throughout the year, but these 2 are the main cinematics people expect from riot each year, the new season cinematic which involves champions from the game and new lore, and the worlds music video which is more focused on the pro players

Tryndamere, the fire demon bro is cursed with the blood of the Darkin, his ultimate is Undying Rage which is what was showed after Garen stabbed him.

League lore is one of the best out there! As you say, it allows for a loooot of ideas/content for years to come!

I think noxus is for sure the next region after arcane to explore, because for people who know lore. Noxus is ruled by 3 people right now, so there take on the council is something more like having 3 separately ruling people at the same time. But they all act independently And all 3 are already hinted at very supetile in arcane season 1 and even in the trailer for season 2 we got 1 fast shot that confirms it abit more. So the 3 leader of noxus I refer to are: -swain the grand general -Darius the hand of noxus -Leblanc the deceiver Last sidenote Swain in the current lore general, but there was someone else in the past. So depending on arcane timeline we will see who we got. I am just pretty sure we are in swains timeline right now

I love that you're reacting to these!! but tbh there are too many cinematics you may get lost over the 200+ champions since you don't play league. I'd recommend you just go for the season cinematics: Warriors (this one has characters you know!), Awaken, The Call, Still Here. Those are the best ones.

If you're intrigued by those first two segments of "A Twist of Fate", you should definitely put both "Call to Power" (focused on Ryze, the mage) and "Terror in Demacia" (focused on Fiddlesticks, the scarecrow) on your watchlist.

Just starting the video, so sorry if you'll mention that in the middle of it, but wanted to say, that old league cinematics don't contain any lore, before lore was different, basically people just were fighting... Thats all. But they're still cool and worth watching.

I really hope you guys will at one point react to the voice lines, especially Kindred and Fiddlesticks are great in my opinion. There is a particular good presentation of Kindred’s voice lines with the “On the nature of daylight” music.

Make sure you watch some Necrit (The lore God of league) videos too!! they are so entertaining and help a lot with understanding how the world of Runeterra works. I'm not a league player myself but i love the world and the stories they create, and seing more people interested on this makes all of us lore nerds super happy :D. I dont think they will go that deep into Noxus lore for season 2, because Noxus is super super complex and has a lot of people involved just to mention some (Darius,Draven;Le Blanc, Swain (which i think is probably the man who killed Mels brother), Samira, Katarina,Talon,Sion,Vladimir,Cassiopeia,Kled and many more).

I have some small hope of seeing Katarina in season 2, since she is the one who is going after rogue generals from the noxian empire after Swain took over. Since I can't quite pin the time table, I can't be sure if Darkwill still rules Noxus or has already been overthrow, it's a long shot, but I still hope so.

If you're interested in getting a quick lore dive into the world of Runeterra. You should really react to Necrit's video "The World of Riot's MMO is Already Done". It covers all the major regions. Necrit is the king of LoL lore and his video are perfect for people wanting to know more about LoL. . While the MMO is on the back burner at the moment, it's a great dive into the world, especially for newbies.

I really really hope you get to watch Necrit's video "The World of Riot's MMO is Already Done", because he goes into all the different regions and quite a bit of the overall lore of this whole setting, it's really fun!

As much as a bummer it is that it's going to be the end of Vi's and Jinx's story and Arcane in season 2. I'm so excited for fans of Arcane and not the game to get to see more to the champions. I'm stoked myself to get to see more champions and their stories come to life.

I think you guys would mainly like the music video's like awaken and warriors. They use some actual lore and worldbuilding rather than just showing off random characters fighting for no reason.

mel mom is just a commander in noxus for sure... in noxus there is no king they don't believe in kings they kill kings because they see kings as a weak person.. so noxus has a 3 leaders Darius the hand of noxus he is the one with axe in this cinematic.. Swain the visionary ruler of noxus and Leblanc the faceless guile.. edit: maybe one of this factions killed mel's brother... because when mel mom said that the one who killed her brother is much more powerful than them.. so they needed to weaponize the hextech

I love how they are commenting on how good it looks when these are like the earliest trailers from a decade ago lmao. Wait till they see the call or awaken. Also if you want the fire bears origin story I highly suggest annie origins. The art is inspired and the story is fantastic if not a little heart breaking

I think that I prefer the second one as well, myself. It just has a more cohesive and complete story than the first one. Like, the first is more a collection of disjointed clips from other fights. Still, they're both awesome! Ahri is awesome, and I hope you guys get to watch some K/DA at some point. I feel like you would really appreciate it.
