I love the show's combination of love & violence: Ed & Stede run into each other's arms while stabbing, shooting, and slicing their way thru those soldiers. True love right there 😂❤
Their love story is the most believable because of their incredible chemistry. They are so at ease and comfortable with each other that it's easy to believe they fall in love.
Its 3am and all i can do is think about this. I’ve been sobbing over these gay little pirates for hours. They’re so in love it actually hurts me. Ive never seen two people more in love. I love this stupid little show and how stupid they are, I love it. Beautiful scene, beautiful story, beautiful characters, beautiful show. Absolutely just wonderful. I love them so much 😭❤️❤️
This was me last night! I have shed more tears over this show than anything I have ever watched. Good and bad tears. Giggling while crying. My emotional whiplash needs chiropractic care.
I love the “For love!!!” while running into battle. Very Aragorn-esque “For Frodo!” in Return on the King. These two have my whole heart and soul. The “I know” seems really on brand because it lets Ed know he never doubted that even when they were apart. (I know it’s also a Star Wars thing, yes.)
"I love you, I love you." It's so good. Yeah, it's a nice little Star Wars bit or whatever, but the fact that it was Ed who said it when he told Stede he didn't get to say it...Ugh!! It's so good. When I saw some production shots of this scene I said, "We'd BETTER get an 'I love you,'" cuz I didn't know when it would happen, but I KNEW in my gut this was a kissing scene. I love this show a totally normal and healthy amount and am definitely NOT going to watch both seasons all the way over again. I feel like I've lived three entire lives watching these guys. What a good show~🏴☠️
I think one of the things I love most in this is Stede just saying "I know" because he's so confident of their love for one another that he didn't need to hear it, but he still was glad to. But that Ed wanted him to know for sure that it was mutual because he refused to say it before. SO SWEET.
Some people pointed out their heads tilt in different directions during the kiss in the wide shot and the close-up. Apparently they kissed multiple times because they kept messing it up lol Taika allegedly said that "Rhys keeps messing up because he wants to kiss me more."
Given this show’s attitude to historical accuracy, they probably kicked back and watched the film at some point. (This absolutely isn’t meant as a criticism, by the way. It just makes me laugh.)
I love them so so much - so healing 😊- the shipwrecked most unhappy versions of themselves running to each other at the same time that they’re meeting again - perfect
I also love how their body language has changed. Before the letter, Ed kept his hands on Stede’s shoulders, now they’re back on his face and chest. He’s all in again, mate.
We weren't alway lucky compared to Good Omens though like in the cliff hanger in season 1. That was exactly as unlucky as Good Omens, Stede and Ed finally kissed and were seperated again just like with Crowley and Aziraphale. @@Angel-hn1th

This is lovely but god. Imagine being one of the English navy officers in this scenario. You’re tasked with taking down (at most) three people, who you wildly outnumber. Not only do you and your fellow soldiers get unceremoniously slaughtered, but two of the people you’re fighting take the time to just go off and make out with each other like they have all the time in the world. Imagine that. You’d spend the brief remainder of your life feeling, frankly, a little bit insulted.
Am I the only one who got anxious watching this scene for the first time, when Ed and Stede were running towards each other while brandishing swords? I honestly thought they were going to accidentally run each other through!
I woke up to your notifications. I couldn't wait to open the app and watch the series. I love this couple of middle-aged men, of different ethnicities and social classes. Although I know the true story, I wish them eternal happiness and that Stede's children and grandchildren visit them from time to time. By the way, Ed was the first to propose, but Stede was the first to say "I love you."
I’m told there will be a season 3? Please, for the love of god! Let Good Omens and OFMD season 3 end with them running away together happy. That’s all I ask! I did not expect to get this emotionally attached to both love stories. And they lived happily ever after. End. Yes please and Thankyou.
@@user-th1pv6ks5o i know the real Stede died after a year of piracy and Ed not long after. If the show mirrors that history at all, I think it will be them faking their deaths to walk away with new identities for a fresh start at the end
