Our garage, cars and dreams were turned to ashes… 

I only spent a few days in Ireland, but the camaraderie and passion I saw from you guys especially is unlike anything else. You'll be back even stronger. 💪

Hi Dave we only properly met on that terrible night. I was one of the two people who was present when the fire started. For anyone who thinks that it could have been any different it could have only been worse. The mechanic who desperately tried extinguish the fire was within seconds of being overcome by incredibly toxic fumes. If he had hesitated a moment longer he would not be with us today. The fire alarm sounded at 20:46 by 20:55 a ball of flames was covering the workshop roof and the offices. The fire brigade arrived at 21:00 and worked tirelessly to save what they could. The firefighters themselves were petrolheads too. They were so determined to save what they could. It meant something to them, the fire was just too big. Nobody could have done more. It’s tragic for all involved. Personally I’ve nothing but great admiration by your own leadership and determination to carry on. I’ve no doubt you and your team have what it takes to come back from this. When you’re going through hell, keep going.

By the sounds of it someone who survived and thrived through cancer and a possible career/business ending pandemic, has superhero qualities. So I can’t imagine this doing anything but building up your legacy and your already incredible resilience.

It's not sympathy Dave, it's genuine love and admiration. You guys have built a community, so many people from all walks of life and the world flock to your content, you're real, relatable, dedicated and absolutely amazing to watch. Cars are inanimate objects, just a collection of metal and plastic, but to true car people, they are so much more. Really sorry for your loss.

I hadn't heard of you guys until this morning, when RU-vid randomly suggested the fire video to me. My husband lost almost everything he owned in a house fire a couple years before we met, and he lost so many collector items that can't easily be replaced, nor would insurance really cover all of them (guns, rookie cards, family items, etc.). It's jaded him against collecting stuff now; it's rare that he finds something he wants to keep for posterity because he's so scared of it happening again, even ~15 years later. Sometimes all we can do is rise above the ashes like the phoenix and carry on stronger than before.

Just remember you guys have a 100% success rate of making it through every difficult situation. So, just keep going and have faith.

Like I said after the “disaster video” I’m a 53 year old man and I didn’t mind admitting that I cried watching everything you had burn to the ground but, on a brighter note, I firmly believe, that Drift Games will rebuild and be bigger and better than ever before. Yes it will off course take time but I no doubt, whatsoever, that you will all make this happen and your positivity, your determination and your mindset will win the day. You have been and will continue to be an inspiration to many, many young ones who love cars. You have a unique, niche business here in Ireland and the next chapter in the Drift games story is one not to be missed!! ❤️

Things can be replaced, lives can not. You guys did the right thing by not rushing in there to save the cars. I can only imagine how painful this has been for you. You guys have your lives and that's what's important.

The difference in this set back compared to the previous one is that you guys have 4 years more experience, 4 years more visibility and awareness, 4 years more fans, 4 years more friends within the niche and industry. You will build back, you will have the love and support of everyone you have provided joy and entertainment to with your content and events. for those thinking you should've had this or that or whatever, once the fire hit the first car, there was no system that could prevent this disaster, it did take 7 trucks to put it out, we are just thankful everyone is physically ok you will do this, we will all get through this rough time

I’m not a drift guy but I am a car guy and I respect the passion you guys put into the cars and that amazing garage. I also spent 10 years as a firefighter/paramedic in the US which is probably why youtube recommended that particular video to me. I’m glad no one was hurt but the loss you’ve suffered is huge. I’m glad you’re giving yourself some time to grieve it. This cartoon canine Heeler from Australia once said: have a little cry, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep going. Sounds like you’re no stranger to doing that and you’ve already got a plan. I can 💯 understand what you are saying. Lost my wife the beginning of 2020 and then covid took my businesses and I had to leave the dream home we built. I'm starting over now and it's so hard not to get frustrated but just stay patient.

I think it's fair to say that the goodwill you guys have earned in the community is insane. As someone who personally has suffered from losing everything in a house fire, its heartbreaking to see all that you guys lost. Hope you can rebuild quickly and can keep doing what you all love.

From Cancer to Covid to This, Idk how you guys find the zeal to rise out of the ashes but you all are truly inspiring. Seeing all the event passes and trophies and parts that had sentimental value gone truly was drowning. Never stop Drift Games, never stop. Although this is an absolute understatement of unjust, just remember, "It's your reaction to adversity, not adversity itself that determines how your life's story will develop."

The roof collapsed on our 8 bay auto repair shop in September and insurance has refused to cover it. We’re working out of an RV and two rented bays 4 miles down the street. I now only see my family on the weekend until we can find a new location. When you said “is this something we’re just not meant to have no matter how hard we work for it” that hit very close to home. Seeing everything I poured the last 14 years of my life evaporate over something that we didn’t even do is the worst feeling I’ve experienced in as long as I can remember. I’m sorry for what you guys are going through. To accomplish what you have already must mean you guys are serious fighters. You can do it!

Don't worry about being miserable, mate; I'm one of those new viewers, and what strikes me most about your content is your honesty. My family has been through similar with our business burning down, but absolutely nothing on the level of one-off and sentimental value stuff that you guys had. You will rebuild.

I've learned in the last 12 years since moving to Ireland... this is 100% the way the Irish are!! Absolute fighters and genuinely lovely people. They'll Complain about the weather and taxation (haha both are equally terrible), but life-altering situations and hurdles... you probably won't hear a peep outside, "ah sure... you know yourself." You guys have very much delivered on the genuineness and "We have the passion." That's why we watch! Keep doing what you're doing: building amazing cars, bringing motorsport to Ireland and the world, also making people laugh.

I don't think any of us care how professional your videos look, we'll watch anything you guys put out because we love you. In fact, the first Drift Games video I ever watched included a clip of Dave grinding the front bumper of his 180sx into the ground on the return to the pits in mondello. Did he look professional? Hell no. He seemed like a bit of an eejit, but a very very likable person so I stuck around and have loved every single moment.
