We have been really trying with Kassie since we didn't socialize our previous German Shepherd Lucy properly and. as a result, couldn't take her to so many places where we now can take Kassie. Thanks for watching our videos, Surajit!

Since we didn't socialize Lucy properly, we really tried hard to do it right with Kassie and, yes, as a result, she can now enjoy all the experiences that we can offer her. Thanks for watching, Jacqueline!

My pupper never cooperates with training. She just wants to play no matter what. I mean she'll sit,stay,shake, and lay down but she has to play with her big squeak ball in order for her to listen, she never goes anywhere without it. In the middle of the night she must squeak it. If it's outside her crate she cries, if we forget it at home when we go to the park, she won't move unless it's the way home. Good to see another one cooperate and pretend it's mine. Cant believe she's done with training Can't believe it's been for years with my Allie, and can't believe how fast they grow!

Awwwww she’s such s sweetie ! I just adopted a 6 week old Sable Male GSD. Named him Rocko and he is just too damn precious. I have to wait another 2 weeks but I’m getting the house puppy prepped. Any advice? Or on training?

I would have to say that socializing a German Shepherd puppy is the biggest thing you can do. Do some homework and look up how to socialize a German Shepherd puppy. If that is not done right then the dog will be scared of people or little kids if you don't have any around or even other animals.

Thanks for watching! Your pup is very beautiful! We aren't doing any protection training with Kassie. She is naturally protective. It is like protection by presence.

We got Kassie from a breeder in southern Saskatchewan, Canada. He is a working line shepherd. Thanks for watching and commenting!

RpetsAndUs thanks except that I'm retaking them only because she needs to be socialized more. I bought a show line dog thinking she would be calm and friendly but she is hyper and a little aggressive to other dogs. Hopefully she can be as good as kassie. How much does she weigh? my pups just about 5 months old and she's sitting at about 50 lbs. Btw seeing how much your dog loves the water makes me really want to take mine out to go swim as well!

Yes, these dogs usually love water! She doesn't even care how cold it is! We haven't weighed Kassie lately but think that she should probably be around 75 pounds right now. She will be 2 years old on March 8th. Thanks for watching our videos!

Try to socialize him more with other dogs! It's very important that you socialize your pup at very young age. We have a video on our channel from way back Socializing your German Shepherd Puppy. There we are talking about these things. Thanks for watching our videos!

I think the best way to deal with it is to introduce her to more and more people, so that she would learn that people are ok. The sooner you socialize her to people, the better it is since this is much easier to do when the dog is still a puppy. Introduce her to people of different ages and nationalities, as well as children of different ages and also other dogs and other animals. Thanks for watching!

Devon Landrum energetic large breed dogs until they reach the age 1 they go through growth spurts and can be on the skinny side during those growths I had a Siberian husky pup who I fed everyday exactly the way the label said I should for her weight and it was high quality dog food and she had points in her life where she had a very slim waist I asked the vet and he told me everything I was doing and how I was feeding her was perfect and that's when he told me that it happens during growth spurts he said not to worry about it and to keep up the good work.

it's normal for a female 8 mos-old gsd to be on the skinny side during her growth spurt.They begin filling out at around 2 yrs when their bones stop growing, then their bodies start to get more compact.
