Ah, been waiting for this. Andrew definitely deserves a 3rd movie. He's the best Spider-Man in my opinion

I've been watching you guys for a week now and this is probably a weird comment. But this movie holds a special place in my heart. Because when my wife was very sick there were times where Just me waking up or moving would exhaust her, so we sometimes slept in different rooms and I would go check on her a couple times but I watched this movie 4 or 5 times while she was sick, and she never watched it with me because she was in the other room asleep, it's the only way I could fall asleep and once she passed away. I must have watched it 40 nights in a row. Because it felt like she was in the other room. It was the only way I could sleep

Gwen's death in the comics was considered the first time a major recurring comic book character was actually killed off and didn't come back. It was a turning point in comics and marked the end of the Silver Age of comics. Of course no one stays dead forever and she was brought back in various forms over the decades.

I'm so sad this version never went further, there was so much potential, and regardless of who you liked a spiderman, this gave us so much lore and background that never got solved because Tom Holland became the new one. I'm not complaining, but it does just give us an unresolved legacy.

The ending was heartbreaking. Even though i saw it coming as its based off a fanous comic, the death of Gwen still shook me😢

I think every actor that has played Spider-man has had a different take to the character that I've loved. With Andrew Garfield, I do feel like he was a better Spider-Man overall, and the relationship between him and Gwen felt the most heartfelt and real of any comic book movie I've ever seen.

This is one of my favorite spiderman movies. The second was definitely the best one to me the opening is so intense and I was so excited to ger the theatre experience. The ending was so unexpected too and can't lie I cried too. 😢 Such a great movie and I appreciate y'all reaction!! Love you guys ❤

I thought it was funny that you mentioned how a bullet hole could make the plan crash but we also just had that Alaskan flight lose a whole side panel and it somehow landed safely😂

If you like Dane Dehaan who plays Harry, you should checkout other films he's in. One that I recommend is Chronicle. It stars Michael B Jordan and Alex Russell too. It's about 3 high-school boys getting magical powers, and the film is shot like a documentary. Every camera we see is actually recording as if to symbolize cctv so the viewer feels like it's more real. I don't want to spoil much if you haven't seen it, but it's good!

Personally I like all the SM movies, but for different reasons, and I might watch one or another depending on how I feel. Love Toby for the villains. Love Garfield for the drama and stakes of Spiderman as it relates to personal relationships, family and the public. The next SM I love the Peter Parker aspect(feels most like an actual oddball high school teen that lives in Queens) with a lot of comic nods but also some fresh story aspects as it relates to wider MCU.

Rosie, I love these twoooo As I mentioned in your community post, I'm glad you both enjoyed this one and showing Andrew's Spidey some love! I'm not surprised you both chose his Spidey as your favorite. While Tobey holds a special place in my heart and Tom's is full of youth, Andrew's take was just as amazing. His relationship was also the strongest of the three IMO. Anyways, before you get to No Way Home, I see some people suggested checking out Venom. However, I would personally recommend also watching Wandavision and Loki season 1 before* No Way Home. Cheers guys!

The reason why there isn't a 3rd one is that yes because by that time Marvel Studios and Sony had made a deal to put Spider-Man in the MCU, but also THIS one in particular flopped at the box office and wasn't received well...And there are no plans to make a 3rd one with Andrew

I love that Garfield is your favorite Spider-Man. Everyone always judges me when I say he's my favorite. Nothing against Tobey or Tom. Emma Stone as Gwen was fantastic and then some. She was my favorite love interest of Peter; especially the fact it followed the comics portrayal of Gwen's death (even though I hate it). Great reaction!

A good way to always look at Harry and Peter's friend ship is. Harry usually doesn't want to just be son of someone important and Harry usually doesn't have friends so when Harry insists on going to public school he would just naturally gravitate to Peter. In this one yeah they're dads knew each other so they probably met sooner but neither here nor there. I always look at is as Harry always looking for a friend who wouldn't care too much about his status and Peter focused on other things but wantimg a friend fits that role. That's just my opinion tho

I remember everyone in the audience audibly gasping at the Gwen scene 😢

This movie was a great two punch. First with hilarious goofiness. Then with emotional parts. And her death was so devastating. He reaches her and you think he will make it. And in many movies they would magically pull person up. But the fall is too high and fast. And you hear the sound and you know it immediately and it shocks you. He didn't make it. I know you criticized them a bit for crazy relationship. But i liked their silly ground rules and back and forth. It felt that this would happen in such situation. Uncertainty and desire to be with someone fighting the sense of duty. This is one of my favorite Spider-Man movies too.

Sony was working towards a “Sinister Six” movie. They were a team of Spideys deadliest enemies. They had a few different lineups but Vulture, doc ock, and Rhino were part of it. It would’ve been rushed and bloated if they made it into one movie so I’m glad we didn’t get that but it’s a shame Andrew didn’t get to finish his trilogy. I lean towards Tom but they all brought Peter/Spiderman to life in different and outstanding ways. Amazing ways…

This movie did the worst in terms of box office for a Spider-Man movie, plus it was critically panned so when Marvel came to Sony regarding Civil War, they made a deal which is kinda crazy that it even came about, two studios sharing a character? Insane They had two versions of the civil war movie, one w Spider-Man and one without. Part of that deal was a Spider-Man movie every 2 years with an avengers co star in each one.

From what I remember, Sony had a major conference where the 3rd film would have been officially announced. Garfield did not attend the event due to sickness caused by jetlag. Sony was not happy about him missing the event, which led them to discontinue the franchise.

ok..the Amazing Spiderman franchise was supposed to be Sony's answer to the MCU..but due to the critics reviews and most of the fans didnt like the reveal about Parker's blood importance..the franchise didnt go thru..the 3rd film was supposed to be Sinister Six..about 6 iconic villains of spiderman (Doc Oc, Rhino, Vulture, etc)..so Sony made a deal with Disney to share spiderman on the screen..and they agreed to choose a younger actor to carry the spiderman franchise for years.. Gwen's death is one of the most iconic moment in comic book history, ever..and they did wonderfully here.. Andrew's portrayal of Spiderman is still my fave..

My favorite Spider-Man movie (of the ones you guys have seen so far) is this one, except that I am still not okay with killing off Gwen Stacy. That was way too much. Shailene Woodley was cast as Mary-Jane Watson in Amazing Spider-Man 2 & actually shot scenes with Andrew Garfield on a motorbike. That have NEVER been seen by the public. I think they bond over fixing her bike while Peter is working on Aunt May's car if I remember correctly? Little is known exactly why she was cut out of the movie though it was only a few scenes of her & Peter (she still got paid for her appearance) but it's probably obvious this film is way too stuffed like Raimi's Spider-Man 3

Ngl, idk if im the only one that feels this, but I cant chose between Maguire, Garfield, or Holland as they all bring so much to the role (while having one or two flaws). They all did great with every they could give: TOBEY - The geeky aunt and uncles boy with a good heart but runs with his many fulfilled emotions. He manages to keep strong morals and keep his head in check and saves the people of New York City ANDREW - An awkward skater kid who doesnt seem to fit in much, but has the brains and humor to keep him going as the titular web-slinger who without a doubt, is very good with people. TOM - A young and inexperienced hero who is navigating his way through life while overcoming msny hurdles both as parker and spider-man that'll shape him into the hero the world needs.

That times square scene is one of the best moments out of all the spiderman films.

For me, this universe was darker and definitely felt the most cinematic compared to Tobey Maguire's and Tom Holland's. Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is definitely my favorite. It's how I've always envisioned him to look like in real life. His suit design with the big eyes and lanky build looks like he came right out of the comics. Here's hoping Andrew Garfield will return in a movie 3 and be a mentor to a certain MM.

The reason there was no ASM3 is because right after this movie came out, Sony and Disney made a deal to bring Spider-Man to the MCU, and Disney wanted a fresh start to Spider-Man (so they wanted him recast.) It never had to do anything with poor reception or anything of the sort, it just was the timing of Spider-Man coming to the MCU.

Great movie but I have to ask why didn't we get an Amazing Spider-Man 3 that would have been really awesome to see especially with the whole black suit Saga and Venom I think seeing Andrew's Spider-Man Dawn the black suit would be really cool to see and not to mention we could see Venom as well

I have been watching you guys for a little while know and I didn't know when to comment or when not to comment on it. But some information has been passed that's bad and one thing I don't like one thing I can't tolerate in a world of craziness is bad Spiderman information being passed out. In high school I didn't play sports, I didn't even think about girls I watched Spiderman cartoons read Spiderman comics and I even left my senior English class at 11am in the morning to see the first Tobey Maguire Spiderman with my best friend we've been friends for 26 years and we still love Spiderman. I want to help clear somethings up. The Amazing Spiderman 2 had plans for what's called the Sinster Six the Sinister Six is a group of villains in Spiderman's lore and they all team up together to take on Spiderman. That's why at the end of this movie you see that row of villains including the Rhino b/c Sony which is the movie company that owns the Intellectual Property Rights to Spiderman wanted a Sinster Six movie. That was the plan. The Amazing Spiderman 2 comes out in May of 2014 Sony is promoting and hyping it up but The Amazing Spiderman 2 doesn't do well. It financially made the least amount of money of all the Spiderman movies and on Rotten Tomatoes has the worst rating. So... Sony is still thinking and talking about how to move forward after this, they've already rebooted after the Tobey Maguire movies and they're not sure if they should reboot again after they just did a reboot and if you reboot do you tell the Uncle Ben story again? Well in 2014 The MCU is flourishing they can do no wrong. The MCU is like Jordan in the 90's making all the 3 pointers they put up. Sony is not doing so well. So what happens is Captain America Civil War is being planned by Marvel and Sony doesn't want another screw up reboot so they concede and do something unprecedented. One movie studio makes a deal with another studio to loan out their character so they can fix the image of Spiderman b/c people were losing faith. So 2015 before they move forward with a Sinister Six Movie or Amazing Spiderman 3 they say you know what Marvel we will loan you Spiderman for Civil War and in return when we reboot Spiderman we would like your input we need your help b/c we know Spiderman is a billion dollar movie franchise but we just can't get it there. One of the first thing Kevin Feige the head of marvel says is we're not retelling the Uncle Ben story people know it and they get it. I know it's a lot especially if you're just taking in all these Spiderman movies. Sony has been trying to clean up the image with Marvel Studios b/c of Spiderman does well for Sony than obviously thats more money. Sony just lends him out to Marvel Studios Sony still owns the rights and will probably never lose the rights. They only lose the rights if they don't make a Spiderman movie every 5 years. That's also why you see so many villain movies. Morbius Venom 1 and 2 there's a Kraven movie and Madam Web movie coming they're all Spiderman characters and it's what Sony does to continuously maintain the rights. I also worked on The Amazing Spiderman movie I was an extra but I want to humble make it aware that I do know what I'm talking about and I love that you love Spiderman and have enjoyed your Spiderman videos but the videos I'll comment more in future videos can't wait to see the video of you watching Spiderman No Way Home it will make you laugh and cry like all these Spiderman movies. i been saying for years through the hate. regardless of what, TASM has the best portrayl or a Spider-Man. yeah script this and that but people denied for yearsssss that these were great movies. And for the people who said that he was "too cool" for a Spider-Man and wasn't relateable because he skated and could get attract someone like Gwen, y'all think people can't be people and not have these problems? i actual related to this film heavily cause i did use to skate and i was pulling girls but i was still nervous asf all the time, always introverted on the low, always in my own bubble quiet unless i was with my friends until some people pull me out of it. Point is, he isn't too cool to be smart or to be awkward or nerdy, we literally see him stumbling in his speech most of the first act in the first TASM. And how would you act if you instantly got superpowers and was bullied regularly? not feel the need to stand up for yourself? that's what he did with flash but some said he was too edgy or some bs. and then he of course became more charasmatic when he BECAME SPIDERMAN cause he had to be confident, be the hero, save the day and try to balance his normal life. Some critiqued where he stopped the car robber in TASM 1 and was too "cocky and agressive" y'all failed to see that he wasn't "Spider-Man" yet, he was petter with vendetta to get revenge for Uncle Ben. He just got his powers developed and was just looking for one guy with a star tattoo, of course he was aggressive, cause he didn't get into that "hero" role yet. He only flipped that switch on the bridge in the car with the kid, then he began looking to help the city and protect it rather than find the start tattoo guy and ignore the rest of crime. The second TASM has a lot more inconsistencies and faults i will agree, but i will also argue that it has some the best frames/scenes ever, of Spider-Man in live action, along with some of the best emotional heart string pulling moments in any spiderman media (out of comics)

ANOTHER REASON: Because TAS2 was so bad of a film, including to the top heads. They went to Kevin Feige (the MCU Head of Hydra) on how to fix it going forward and his solution to them was to give him back to the MCU, however they compromised and made a deal. They also butchered Harry Osborne and the origin of how Peter got his powers in this.

If only Andrew had put his ego aside, made that meeting with those executives, and ate some crow, we MIGHT have gotten the 3rd… after some fighting between them, he had one final chance to salvage things, but he blew it and they said “MOVIN’ ON”🤷‍♂️

Ultimately this film is a mess as Sony (Who importantly own the rights to Spider-Man in movies & probably will NEVER EVER let them go 💰 🤑 💸) wanted to immediately set up more films in this universe with that final scene. Killing Gwen is the way it goes but it felt to me it was far too rushed & saw it coming a mile off but heck-neck that was * Crack * as brutal as superhero films can go.

Sony was too fixated on setting up a Spider-Man Cinematic Universe(they already had plans for TASM3 and a Sinister Six film) that they lost focus on doing a decent job with this movie. So instead they made a deal with Marvel to add Spider-Man to the MCU and rebooted the character yet again. In the end though, it was for the best. Aside from Homecoming which I didn't care for, Tom Holland's appearances have all been really good and No Way Home was an amazing culmination of nearly 20 years of Spider-Man films.

Howdy Neighbors! To me, this one was ok. I liked the acting, but it was just too convoluted with too many plots they were trying to tie in together. PLUS - the movie viewing world doesn't let go like comic readers do, so Gwen's death really put a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths (I will never forget the hate, both online, and in person, I witnessed from this - numerous friends who spent money but weren't comic lovers were very upset and turned off). Many said it could've happened in the 3rd, or a later movie, as they were putting together a "Spider-Man Universe" at the time, planning multiple films. I understand there not being a 3rd film, this didn't do as well as expected in America, and killing off Gwen this early was a gamble they lost. But I did like it more than the first.

Andrew will always be the Spider-Man that captured his truth essence to me. I'll have a soft spot always for Maguire since he was the first and I watched that first movie surviving crossing a highway with high school friends to get to the movie theater, but Tobey was mostly goofy AF. Andrew is the perfect blend to bring Spidey to life. Oh and that new guy, Holland, yeah, I tried watching one of his movies and he's too new age for me.

I've loved all the spiderman films. But for me, Andrew Garfield takes it for me. Peter and Gwen has been so much more real and believable compared to Toby and Tom's on-screen relations. The stakes in these films felt much more real. I know a lot of people weren't too keen on a mechanised Rhino, I personally think it was a fairly realistic take instead of a massive muscular dude but I get the dislike. And these films had the best May and Ben, by a long mile. I think the 3rd film never went ahead because of the deal Sony made with Marvel, who opted to recast Spiderman. But there's talk of his 3rd movie being done I believe, I just hope Sony aren't going to link him to their recent releases (Morbius etc).

I’ve always said this when it comes to which Spider-Man is best, Toby Maguire is the best Peter Parker but isn’t the best Spider-Man, Andrew Garfield isn’t the best Peter Parker but he’s the Best Spider-Man, and Tom Holland isn’t the best of either but he’s the best mix of the two alter egos

The one thing wrong with this movie was that Norman was supposed to be green goblin. Harry is supposed to be the Hob Goblin. Basically a Kroger brand version of Green goblin lol. Gwen was supposed to be Peter’s first girlfriend and was supposed to die because of the goblin. Almost how it was In this movie, just not in a clock tower. She did die the same way though. But the goblin was supposed to die like he did in Tobey’s movie. But they all got something wrong or right in each other’s movies. Tom is the most inaccurate besides being a part of the avengers as a teenager.

I really like this movie. And I love this version of Peter and Gwen, I prefer superhero couples when its not just like "oh im here just so he has to save me a million times", like Gwen is such a great character. And in my opinion out of the 3, in therms of Spider-Man suited up Andrew has the best energy, I love his Spider-Man.

Heyyyyy lol where is that scene !!! When max walking on road, a car flies and comes to hit him... And spiderman rescue him and max introduce himself to spiderman !! Where is that scene ! In other reaction channel also i can't see that scene !! Before max comes to the office when near miss with an accident and spiderman rescue max !!!

to me reading some comics, this spiderman was most comic accurate, sassy sarcasm while fighting is captured pretty well

Andrew Garfield is way better at the humour side of Spider-Man than tobey ever was Spider-Man cracking jokes while fighting is a big part of the character in the comics raimi Spider-Man lacked that

Now time for the 2 Venom movies. After that you should start the X-Men movies. Then watch at least season 1 of Daredevil which is just confirmed to be canon to the MCU. Then you can continue where you left off with the MCU before all this.
