Our Hognose Laid some Strange Looking Eggs... 

I really appreciate Emily even telling us about the eggs falling. Like she easily could have just said they went bad because they were slugs, yet she continuously is very honest with us about “mistakes” that can happen while caring for and breeding reptiles.

Tbh considering the three best looking eggs were the only ones to make it that far I think the others were just infertile to begin with and the car journey had nothing to do with it

The no feeding reptiles is interesting, i have recently seen several "feeding" videos that are effectively animal fighting\torture. A bullfrog and a sub adult tokay fighting to the death, listed as educational bullfrog feeding or something. If it actually results in those videos being gone(i doubt it) it becomes more reasonable.

Did Emily say that RU-vid think feeding snakes is animal abuse? That a little crazy. It natural and and kind of educational teaching how it works I guess it's a bit of a stretch.

The lavender morph is by far my favourite (close to axanthic visually?). The purple-greys are amazing. A 'conda or twinspot one would be beautiful! I love your enthusiasm about all your animals. P.S, I have a good feeling about the "regular poop" egg. (That's a sentence I never thought I'd type).

You could try breeding coral hognoses! Coral hognose are a combination of albino and lavender and its one of the most beautiful snake morphs ive ever seen

Im so upset that youtube keeps blocking animals eating, something that should be classified as educational at the least. but other channels like the content farm craft channels can tell people to do things that result in injury or are flat out miss information and there videos are fine. i love this channel so much and hope that youtube figures out the difference between teaching people the reality of nature in a safe controlled way and animal cruelty.

The oils from popped eggs can coat good eggs and suffocate them. There's a way to clean them to keep them viable, but leaving those oils on makes them go bad.

Wipe off the yolk next time, NERD did a video recently on the best way to do it. The eggs were probably good but suffocated hence why the ones that weren’t covered in yolk were still good at the end of the video.

I love how Kate just hides most of her body in the moss. All of those eggs do kinda look weird. Apparently Kate doesn't want to be disturbed and being unhappy at everyone. Pfffff, poop. This is probably one of the funniest clutch marked ever. Man, I like watching the animals eat.

Hey there! Love your channel, your educational enthusiasm and honesty. :) In the interest of sharing my own educational enthusiasm, here are a couple things I've noticed breeding hoggies that may or may not apply to Kate's eggs. 1) As you probably know, first time mamas are most likely to have issues like poor fertility, high embryo mortality, egg deformity, deformed offspring, dead in egg babies, etc. 2) Western/plains hog embryos are very obvious even right after laying. If you candle the eggs, you'll see right away which ones are fertile and which aren't (though I wait a couple weeks before tossing just to be sure-sure). 3) Eggs tolerate being moved/rolled or about the first 24-48 hours; after that, the embryo is attached to the egg wall. Assuming it was within that safe time period, it's unlikely the eggs falling in the car caused embryo death (says the woman who once tripped and dumped an ENTIRE CLUTCH that recovered just fine; my nerves, notsomuch). 4) Around day 40, you can candle eggs and be able to ID axanthic/normal and albino/snow (they look the same)--albinos and snows (as well as corals and toffees) will candle very pink, while normals and axanthics (as well as lavenders) candle white and grey-ish. In some eggs with thinner shells or windows, you can see the pink of the lighter morphs through the egg shell without candling. It's pretty cool!

Just to let you know that you can use either hand sanitizer or plain old rubbing alcohol to get rid of the old ink. If you spritz/spray and let it sit a bit, it should help remove the old stuff.

I have a feeling that the reason that RU-vid isn't letting you show feedings is due to some of the feeding Channels that are making fetish vids.

I think the only way feeding rodents to snakes could be considered animal abuse is if it was live feeding, which can be very dangerous for the snake.

I once had a corn snake lay eggs that were strung together like beads, (like, even the contents were connected, not just on the surface) plus a bunch of chunks of just eggshells. The more normal eggs that were deeper in there ended up binding, and she had to have them removed over the course of several days. Nothing was viable, but she survived! Pet only after that though.

I really love axanthic hognoses! My favorite is sable, and lavender :) you should try to get corals that would be awesome! Or even one day in the future anaconda snows, and super arctic!
