I grew up in American Samoa, Faleasao, Manu'a. We did not have indoor plumbing, we did not have electricity, the village had a bath house in the center of the village; where we got water, carrying buckets of it on our shoulders to take home for cooking and drinking; where the women and children used in the morning until 4:00 PM and the men and boys after that. We went to the beach to relieve ourselves. When I went back about 15 years ago, every family has electricity and indoor plumbing. It was very pleasant. This change came about when President Kennedy implemented changes on the islands. He did away with segregation and upgraded the power house and sewage systems to be where they are today.

Great video!! Samoa don't need much...natural resources are found in the ocean and on land and each family owns their own land. Unlike overseas country, you have a lot of bills to pay. But Western Samoa ia lot more fun to see and visit.
