Mei Mei is meant to be a foil to Nanami. She hoards money while he saves it, she’s lazy while he’s hard working, she manipulates/grooms children while he cherishes and protects them. She is to show what we have in Jujutsu society but Nanami represented what it should have been

Yeah but the issue with that is the story doesn't treat her like shes in the wrong nobody says her ui uis relationship is wrong ui ui is just treated like an annoying simp not a victim of abuse and during the scene in bed the tone isnt negative or creepy at all especially in the anime i think this was just creepy fanservice and nothing more

Hi, a bit of clarification for the Mei Mei scene. Not to defend her actions, but it makes sense within the narrative. Mei Mei is a foil to Nanami and the scene with her and her brother is supposed to illustrate that. While Nanami was a protect the kids guy Mei Mei is shown taking advantage of them - the most egregious example being her brother. In Nanami dying and Mei Mei surviving, it shows that for jujutsu sorcerers having the mentality of protect the kids is morally correct yet unfeasible. The scene was used to demonstrate this. Im not trying to defend her or even this scene, just to provide a bit of an explanation.
also this is further proved by her ending the arc in Malaysia which Nanami had expressed interest in. Its a shame too because this message could have been gotten across without her being a child molester. It just kinda nuked her character and leaves little room for nuance as the story progresses
I really don't get the outrage over mei mei scene. Not becoz it wasn't problematic, but becoz it was very obviously problematic. Didn't she ask her little brother to die for her just a few ep ago? (She even mentions that she doesn't like asking others for favour, so she has her brother do them for her)
Watching this episode and then reading the latest manga chapter in one sitting was such a Christmas treat. There's a ton of parallel between the two as well, which was awesome.

I honestly think I have the exact opposite opinion on the mei mei thing. She's a horrible person and thats definitely the point. Gege has a lot of trouble with writing female characters but this at least kind of works.
I'm typically a spotify, audio-only listener, but I absolutely had to see Nick's face at the spaghetti, it was better than I could ever have imagined :)

My hero movies are canon. First one takes place before the summer camp attack. Second takes place after my villain academia before endeavor internship arc. Third takes place during the endeavor internship after the ending attack. Star and strip also first appears in the first movie and mellisa builds all might a mech suit for the final battle
Danny's bits and Nick's anger are the highlights of these episodes (Also the editing in this one is amazing, stank, i especially loved the close up to the hunter x hunter poster in the last question of the game)

The gauntlet from the first movie (MHA) appears in the vigilante arc Also i think the reason people hate what the GoW creator said was because it felt more like he was one of those people that see kratos as only him in gameplay and not the nuance. One thing to have an opinion and another to sound hateful or offended at something a lot of fans think is the next logical step for a character and works.
I agree that FMAB’s biggest issue is the pacing. It’s very inconsistent in its pacing and it’s unfortunate that it doesn’t reach the heights of the manga.
@@za-ir5ni it’s the first half. It’s a bit better in the 2 4th, but it’s still doesn’t get consistent until 30 episodes in. Also weird that the best anime ever has a weak beginning.
@thomasffrench3639 No, the pacing is exactly the same as the manga after it gets through the FMA 2003 stuff, which is just the first 15 eps like I said. And that doesn't make it weak, just fast paced. It having one of the best endings of all time negates that anyways.

Answering the question at 35:36. This is how it's been for a while now. Manga like One Piece and JJK all go 3 weeks straight. 1 week break, unless Shonen jump is pausing publication for a holiday.
Literally, the most important characters from the mha movies have appeared in th manga lately. Like the 2 kids bakugo and deku saved show up in the manga. The bird guy from the 3rd movie shows up. Melissa from the 1st movie is referenced in a very important detail in the vigilante deku arc.
The Uzumaki scene was SIIIICK!!! IT LOOKED JUST LIKE JUNJI ITO'S "UZUMAKI" (well, a particular scene from one of the first few chapters of Uzumaki)!!! That's actually how I got into Junji Ito, it was all thanks to Gege Akutami!!! Junji Ito is so amazing, if you haven't read his manga yet, GO BUY HIS MANGA NOW!!! YOU CAN'T GO WRONG!!!

I was listening on Spotify to this episode and came here to comment that Excalibur is not a filler episode character, the first episode he is in is in the manga the other two are filler but he is in the death room with lord death during the final battle in both the manga and the anime
Not defending Mei Mei, but to give some clarification. I'm pretty sure THAT scene is to show her utter disregard for the safety of Qui Qui. In comparison in the same episode we have Choso doing everything he can to protect his newly found brother. Where as Mei will do anything to get money and get ahead in life.
So basically the events on a MHA movies are not cannon but the lote and characters are cannon, just like the recent One piece movies (the ones Oda had input on) have cannon lore and characters but the events themselves are not cannon. Although they dont have the weight of mugen train and jjk 0 they do a good job of expanding the universe a bit while showing fun interactions and powers Btw Noritoshi is the family name, Kamo is the first name

(I'm an artist not a youtuber so take this with a grain of salt) Being a mangaka is worse than being a youtuber. A single panel often takes hours to make. You need several per page and 16-18 pages a week. Mangakas often work 100 hour weeks
My family has a family friend, for whom is a mall Santa. But not just ANY mall Santa. He's the Santa who teaches OTHER Santa's how to be.... Santa. There is a Santa school where people go to learn how to be officially a mall Santa. It is a legitimate career. He works from November to Christmas and LIVES Santa. Even in summer. He's Santa even when he's grocery shopping.
There should be another episode or two before this season ends, I'm already on the S3 stuff manga wise. So yeah, we'll have a couple for eps before S2 of JJK is over, at least from what I can put together, ya' know.
