Our Honest Review of Royal Caribbean Icon of the Seas

I thank you both for encouraging people with FOMO (while the cruise is a GREAT experience) NOT to go in debt to expereince this cruise! Much respect to you both for making it a point to include that very important PSA!!!! Love the way you broke down the review into specific categories/topics, ending with the Pro's and Con's and who the cruise is and isn't for (which you explained wonderfully!!). This was a first-rate review!!! So interesting...so thorough...so helpful! Thank you.

I did our first Royal cruise in October and the one thing we loved was the layout of the ship. Nothing was crowded!

We sailed the Marti Gras right after it debuted and it felt so packed. The venues very small with lines. And this was still during C so it wasn’t at full capacity. This video is making want to save my $$ and sail the Icon!! Thank you for great content!

It’s funny you touched on the nickel and dime feel on Royal. When we went on Royal I had a huge tab at the end with all the small add ons. It was a lesson learned. Thanks for always having such great content.

Love yall went on my first cruise of three last year. Love watching yall videos for ideas and what to do. Even got engaged on one of them. Had a major stroke November but my fiancé was like we need to cruise. So I’m leaving this weekend. Recovering from a major stroke and all. Ty for this video. I already knew yall was on it

40:34 since we know we’ll be in the swim up bar and not on a lounge chair, we started to bring our belongings in a waterproof diving bag so we could just have it in the water with us. Looks like VV room service bag but made of waterproof material. Total game changer for us.

Great review! The Quest has been different for us depending on which ship we’ve been on. We found it to be really PG on Allure of the Seas. But on Liberty of the Seas this past November, there was nudity on The Quest. We noticed that it varies by ship and also length of cruise. The weekend or 4 day sailings seem to have more of a party vibe, including The Quest. Great content fam!

It’s interesting to hear you say that Hideaway Beach gave Virgin vibes (we didn’t make it there since we had the kid) because we felt like the shows gave Disney, and the ship itself had some hints of Celebrity…it’s like they took the best of various different lines and created the ultimate cruise. I’m with you, we would totally do it again!

🔥 That Cable Car! Man o Man! That thing was addicting! Royal Really did Great with this ship...they definitely came ready for us! There's always room for improvement but overall it was a well executed experience for the cruise lovers!

No chairs available by the pool or room in hot tubs was a problem on our recent cruise. That was big for us. This ship sounds amazing!🎉

Love this audio review. My hubby and I LOVED ICON! We agree with 95% of the things you stated. I do believe we enjoyed the food alot more than you all did. Lol. I took notes on the drinks for the next sailing. Winjammer was always excellent. Main dining too. Hooked ‘was’ just ok and I wasn’t feeling the mac nor asian at acquadome but the crepes…OMG! Salted caramel with was everything! Yall gotta try next time. I also discovered a few things that we missed like laser tag. But I literally tried to get it all in…3 nights of specialty dining, most of the shows, thrill island slides, hideaway infinity pool, and hideaway each at cococay. And yea that crowns edge was cute from a distance but we weren’t for it either. Lol. Ok Im rambling… Thanks for a great review. Y’all make me wanna rebook tonight!

Looking foward to cruising the Icon. So pretty much based on the Icon review it reminds me more or less of the Celebrity Apex, Ascent and Beyond edge class cruiseliners. Only one thing is change it up some not really into laying around at Private islands prefer going to actual ports of call.

Love yall videos. Took my 1st cruise this year and most cons on a cruise is how terrible the food is. Agreed the food really needs to improve. However I heard RC has the better food. So I will try them out next. CC definitely needs improvement.
