It looks like she took good care of it. There are a lot of antiques in that gun case my husband would love that. Those deer heads are awesome and you can sell them others purchase them all the time. All of the jewelry was pretty. Great video.🎀
I’m sure we have no idea the value of some of it. I know lots of people enjoy the taxidermy work. Just not me. lol. Thank you for watching… more to come!! 🩷
Please go through absolutely everything. I found $$$ and bonds and jewelry tucked away in very odd places in my deceased parents house. They had taped money to the bottoms of drawers. We found rolled up cash and jewelry in the metal frame of the ironing board. We would never have thought of looking there but one of the rubber protectors had fallen off the leg and jewelry fell out when we moved the ironing board. So much work but we found many thousands of dollars in cash and other items. Good luck.
Wow that’s a big job, it will take awhile to get it all done. If you are able it would be great to have an estate sale, you would be surprised what people collect.
Thanks for sharing. You two have a lot of work to do and I'm sure it will take time to get through all the stuff and legal processes involved. Hopefully you find some treasures and family mementos in there. Some of the glass looks like Amethyst glass. The green could be Uranium Vaseline glass. You can learn a lot taking pictures of items and using Google's image search feature if you're wondering what something is. I love the Daisy Duke picture 😂
I’m definitely gonna be doing some research. We have found some family treasures and a little love note my grandfather gave to our grandmother. Thanks for watching Cindy!! 🩷🤗
@@Daughter_of_king Yes we feel that very heavily. She was always so afraid someone would steal something from her. Now so much of it is being donated or thrown out. A whole family raised in that house. Now it’s over. It’s extremely sad.
Cute stuff you brought home- love the pink glassware OMG! That’s called carnival glass-the iridescent. Nice jewelry as well. Oh gosh I wish I could come and just dig through everything to see all of it! Do another video cuz I love seeing it all❣️
I’ll definitely do another video. It’s a release for me in a way. I think you are right on the glassware. I can actually envision us going through stuff in the house and chatting about Temu!! 😂 Thanks for watching all my crazy adventures!!
Hi Cheryl, you guys have a lot of work ahead of you and probate and estate is a long process, one of my least favorite when I was in school. So many memories in that house ❤
I know it has been overwhelming but I love looking at people’s stuff so I’m all in! What a cute house! Wow! A TON OF STUFF!! 😱 Oooh I love that milk glass! Wow she’s got some expensive vintage glass! Are you going to have an estate sale? Oooh can we see the jewelry? I love done of the older/antique furniture! What happen to her son if you don’t mind me asking? He was your age right? Or around your age. Ooh I love painting walls! Well my body doesn’t like me much after but I do enjoy it! You’ve got your hands full! I wonder if you should hire someone to organize an estate sale. Just to take some of the labor and pressure off of you and your sister. There’s a lot of antiques in there girl! I hate the animals as well! I remember my dad got a buck antlers mounted and brought it home and he lived with all girls and we said “nope not in the house!” He ended up hanging in the backyard near the BBQ. Such a cute house and neighborhood❤
Thanks Girl… we are the same. We have done a deep dive I to all of it. We have no idea what we are looking at but Google is a great help! An estate sale is probably in the future but that seems so far away now. We looked in garage, there are totes up in the rafters!!! The deer… creepy as Hell!!
It is interesting! I am always fascinated by how people live, so sad though. And so much work for you and Tracy! I have no idea what it means to be an executrix! ❤
Wow! This is so interesting. I can’t imagine how overwhelmed you guys are right now though thanks so much for sharing this. I really enjoyed watching it.
I’m a big animal lover, but that being said, I like taxidermy. Death can be beautiful ❤. I’ve seen things with taxidermy animals with flowers and crystals and butterflies etc… I know it’s not big with a lot of people but to each their own lol if I had the money to buy and ship one of the deer’s I totally would lol 😂 I just couldn’t ever unalive a animal myself. You are ganna be real busy for a while. Good luck with everything you still have to go through. I had to help my grandma clean out her brother’s house a few years ago and he was a collector of a lot of things lol
@@Onyxmoon83 Girl I’d totally ship you every one of those dear heads if I could!! 🩷🩷🩷 I hadn’t thought of it that way … death being beautiful… maybe that will help me because I’m usually so freaked out by them.
I'm pretty sure your pink dishes are depression glass. I can't think of the pattern. If anything that can't be washed still smells of smoke, sprinkle dry coffee grounds and let it sit for a few days or a week. My sister was a heavy smoker and I had a purse that smelled and that was how I got it to be smell free.
Hi Cheryl🙏❤️. WOW!! A lot of that jewelry sure looks like it’s worth a lot of money and especially that gold bar necklace and it has to be worn a lot more now the when those kind of necklaces came out in the 70’s or 80’s. Also, those stones in some of them have to be real too and are you gonna have them looked at once you’re done to see if they are real and then decide what you’ll do with them? If it were me and I knew the jewelry was real I’d keep it for sure cause after all, you and your sister are in control of your Aunts stuff right? Also just curious, the cat that was outside, is it a community cat or did your Aunt own cats? I’d feel bad if the cat or cats were left behind and not take care of. But then again, that’s just me. Thank you for showing your Aunts house cause she sure had a lot of stuff and it’s a shame that you and your sister have to go through all of it too and it seems it will take forever too. God bless you both so much for taking on the task of sorting out all of the paperwork and your Aunts belongings too. Hugs love and blessings. Sue M. Clearwater, Florida ❤️🙏🤞🏼👍🏻🤔🥰😘😺❌⭕️
We are keeping most of it and yes, we will have it looked at eventually. Once things feel more in order. Everything feels chaotic at the moment. The cats. Oreo was her only cat. She stays in the house and someone comes every day to take care of her. We kinda want her to stay in her home as long as she can. The outside cats are strays. We have a program here that spays and neuters cats and then releases them back out. We leave food and the lady across the street has a place where they can get shelter. She leaves food too. I think several do. Thanks for watching!! 🩷 Hope you are doing well and feeling ok!
@@cheryl4peace Hi Cheryl. Sorry girlfriend but if it were me, I would respect my Aunt by taking the cat and giving it a home with humans and a good life instead of just leaving it behind and alone in the empty house. Oh no no! I figured you would eventually have those pieces of jewelry checked out cause they might be money that you and your sister can share with each other. God bless that lonely cat and I wish it well cause it should never be left alone in an empty home like that.👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼😺🙏🤞🏼 Did your Aunt hvr a will made up and will you be finding out what her wishes are cause she might say something in there for her cat. So sorry Cheryl but I’m for the cat and all animals for that matter. I think it’s great that that area does believe in spaying and neutering too cause then the population doesn’t grow out of hand.👏🏻👏🏻😺 Have a blessed night! Sue M.Clearwater, Florida 🥰😺😘❤️🙏🤞🏼🤞🏼😺❤️❌⭕️
@@susanmorris5520 She wanted the cat put to sleep once she died. Those were her wishes but we can’t do that. We are there with Oreo every day. And when we can’t be, someone comes to feed her and sit awhile. She has food, and a safe place to be. Oreo is 16-17 years old and this is the only home she has known.
@@cheryl4peace that is quite cruel of your Aunt wanting the cat to be put down with it seeming quite fine. I was wondering if maybe a Rescue near you or where Oreo lives if they would take him and adopt him out until his time go cross the Rainbow Bridge? Is that also not an option? It’s great that he is being taken care of by you and the neighbors too. At least Oreo has humans who love him and want to be with him too. I think maybe she wanted him out down cause she didn’t want him to be a burden to you ladies or anyone else. However, if he was an inside cat when she was alive and then abandoned until someone comes along to see him and feed him, it still breaks my heart. Does he have toys and does he know how to play with toys? Does he have or has he ever had a nice bed to sleep in? Sorry for all of my questions for concerns for him but, I’m a definite cat lover and I know you’re a dog lover so, I just want the cat to be happy however long he’s go in life. He just might surprise you ladies and live to past 20 yrs old. He’s so handsome too. If I lived there, I’d take him in a heartbeat. God bless my friend and also Oreo too. Sue M.Clearwater, Florida ❤️🤞🏼😺🙏🥰😘❌⭕️
Oreo doesn’t like other animals so we haven’t had any luck finding anyone to take him and we think he would be completely stressed out in a shelter with other animals. He sleeps on my aunts bed which still smells like her. He purrs like crazy while we are there and gets lots of love and scratches. The neighbor also comes over everyday and brushes him. He is very loved and taken care of. We feel like we are doing better for him staying home than he would be anywhere else. We are very close to talking our mother into taking him but again, she has a dog and Oreo would not be happy with that…..
This is a 5-star video to me. I adore seeing the different items that have "frozen in time" status. I adore seeing IT ALL, LOL. A persons life played out in the blockades of tubs. You have the onerous task of having to do the legal stuff. But it is also fun to see this branch of the family. xxoo Ä
Glad you enjoyed it Adriane. That’s exactly what it is. Frozen in time! It’s a weird feeling nosing through all of it. Oddly exciting. Thank you for watching!!
