Our Journey and Battling the Grey Market 

Vinshine Audio are the gold standard to me, they have my trust and future business.. period. Great people to deal with. I recently had a terrible warranty expereince with a NZ distributor for a Norwegian amp. It's not always the products that make the difference for me, it is the interface, integrity and confidence in the distributor that makes the difference. Honestly, part of the joy I got from buying an Ares 2 was knowing Vinshine's support and customer care is like having a huge comfort blanket. Apart from that, the many firmware updates were rolled out really carefully, making sure each owner got the right versions... another massive reason to buy direct. It's really up to the customer to do the research and check the manufacturers website for warranty details etc. All the best Alvin - keep up the great work!

Vinshine has one massive advantage over other direct retailers, and that is you, Alvin. You have become a byword for good advice, great customer service and trust. Not to mention you are now a bit of a celebrity in the audiophile world., which I dare say helps in communicating with your customers. I was burned in the very early days of Chinese high end products by buying a Shanling SACD player on the gray market from HK. Great player, but when it failed I was left in the lurch with a very heavy but useless piece of audio jewellery. To be fair it was hard in those days to get Chinese products from UK dealers, but if I had tried a bit harder I could. So entirely my fault. Lesson learned.

Really sad to hear this as I have dealt with customer support from Chinese companies directly and it was less than pleasent or timely. With Vinshine I have always had a speedy and informative response. I guess in the end as long as you parted on good terms who are we (the customers) to object, but it is obvious that financially it makes more sense for Denafrips to sell directly, at least now that Denafrips is a household name. I have an Ares2 and Ares12th both purchased directly from Alvin at Vinshine. Delighted with the performance and customer service. They even provide firmware updates for gray market purchases free of charge. Who does that? Now considering an Hestia12th.... I was considering the Ladder Bach or Musician Monceros, but these guys deserve our support. Hoping that Alvin will provide a little more information regarding the upgrades made to this model. Hopefully there will be a review soon too! 🎵🎶😊🎶🎵

I bought my Ares 12th-1 from Vinshine and have been absolutely thrilled with the sound quality. Later I added the IRIS reclocker, also from Vinshine. Great products, and I got quick answers when I had questions about proper connections between the two devices. My only "complaint" was that IRIS only came in black.

Looking forward to starting my relationship with Vishine soon. Saving those $$$.

Years ago, I bought a Music Hall product online to save a few bucks. I have regretted buying from Walmart, of all places, ever since. I'm not sure if the product is new or even performs to specifications. I would never sell it because I would not want to potentially rip someone off. True story folks!

There are people buying new from taobao (especially pontus at 25% lower) and selling used at full price without warranty so that they don't lose money. Please ask the seller to produce the vinshine receipt even if it is no longer with warranty.

I'm excitedly anticipating the software upgrade for my Pontus 2. If I had bought on the gray market, the upgrade would not be happening. The Ares 2 was quite amazing, not for the price, but for any price. The Pontus may be my last stop as far as DACs are concerned. Or, ha ha, maybe not ;-)

How can Aliexpress sell the LHY 50W LPS for half the price, if your margins are so „slim“?

I don’t understand. If you are manufacturing it and hold the stock how can they get hold ot these units? Or they are making copies?
