The trauma of the experience has blocked out much of the experience so having this to listen to is validating and comforting. My "crime" was reporting sexual abuse by my brother who was quickly sent off to Bethal. My sister, the second witness, was labeled a disapproved associate and made to leave our home at 17. I am 50 now and 3 years into my journey of unraveling, healing, and finding peace. Much love to you and your family and demands gratitude for your bravery.

I wish it would wake people up but it doesn’t. I’ve learned that it doesn’t matter what goes on within a judicial hearing, elders behaving badly.. it’s ok. Governing body talking lies… doesn’t matter. It’s all forgiven, Jehovah knows all… the elders will undergo double judgement… The gov body, who knows. @@krissykatportal That’s right, my last conversation with my JW uncle was about a watchtower from 1983 giving advice to a sister who’s married to a non believer who’s abusive. This info has never been updated, it’s just there as part of the hall of shame. You should see the criminal advice they give. Basically she better just stay and get bashed and trashed and then they have the audacity to quote a scripture about a “wife not leaving her husband” which they force fit into this domestic travesty. They say it’s financially advantageous to stay, and spiritually beneficial for the kids… And if she does leave, they call ‘leaving’ an “endeavor” but ultimately should return. Religion should never come in through your front door. With JW, they get right into bed with you. My uncle says “well that’s all they knew at that time” it’s not good enough.

I had a good friend who was catholic and we would exchange pamphlets and I was heart broken to hear that she wouldn't survive because she was catholics and that is why I had to be one. I heard your interview on another channel and that’s what led me to this video. I pray everyday for my CO Father in Law and Pioneer Mother in Law that they wake up and break their chains. I am so happy you and your family are free! My husband and I woke up in 2017 when I came across the ARC, as soon as they found out I posted something against the org on a FB page they wanted to see us. We didn't want to see them, so my husband ask the elder if we should just write a letter (disassociation) and the elder said yes. Just like that, they were willing to let us go. I was in for 30 years my husband for 34 years. And he served as an elder for more than 20 years. We never looked back, so happy we are free.
@Savannah005 I too was asked to write a letter by a very good friend of mine for over 40 yrs who in his later years became an Elder. I just couldn't find the Scriptural Support for such a request. Needless to say we haven't said boo to each other in almost 2 yrs. Such Hypocrisy & mind control permeates this cult. So happy my entire family found The Father through His Son.. John 14:6

I never had a JC meeting because I didn't let the elders have authority over me, instead of letting the elders have a JC meeting with me, I wrote and dropped off a letter of dissociation in October 13, 2019 on a sunday afternoon while my congregation was about to have their meeting. After I dropped off my letter I hopped in my car I grabbed my phone and wrote a text message to all of the elders from my congregation I wrote' This is a warning for all of you elders, if any of you come to my property uninvited I will call the police and press charges on you for trespassing!'. After I did what I did, the phone calls from private numbers stopped. Almost three months after I stopped going to the meetings, I was constantly receiving phone calls everyday from private numbers from the elders and they kept trying to get me to go to a JC meeting.

Served as an Elder for over 24 years. All I suggested that Earth was not a Spinning, Wobbling, Teatering, Rotating, Spiraling Ball Flying through the Infinite Vacuum of Space. That afternoon I was asked to visit 2 of my fellow elders at the hall. When, as you said early in this excellent video, we're taught something from infancy, it's very difficult to start questioning the accuracy of that teaching. I personally chose to go down the rabbit hole. After all, I have 11 grandchildren and wanted to make sure that the truth would reach they're ears. The Nasa-Rite Religion completely contradicts the Bible & True Science. I asked to the brothers to present they're best evidence for this Spinning Ball Earth. That was 8 yrs ago. They have not reached out to us with any Scriptural or Scientific evidence. You folks handled yourselves superbly. All our kids and my wife & i left unscathed by these hypocritical Shepherds. Thank you for this recording. I will now be looking for an Imperial Bible dictionary for my library. Never was I taught growing up to check the references Watchtower added to their publications. My parents taught us to just regard everything as true. It’s so refreshing to have access in this decade to information. I left JW’s back in 1985, disassociated myself. Did’t write a letter and was never disfellowshipped. Just knew from personal experience that it wasn’t what they portrayed themselves to be. Too much hypocrisy and the judgmental attitude in my personal experience. It took me over 12 years to understand that I didn’t leave God and he still loved me. At times I still find myself in a JW mindset. Fortunately my parents chose to not shun me and were present in my life. Out of four children three of us have left, but still enjoyed the love of our parents. I’m certain if they were still living they would have woken up with the current information available. When I was a young teen in the 70s we didn't have a governing body that ruled us. The anointed was suppose to be the faithful and discreet slave. I am sorry that my mom passed before they have shown themselves to be a cult. They had some resemblance of normalcy in those days. The way they view these 8 men as the final word is shocking to me. They use to put down the priests and pope as actiing as intermediaries to God, They have now set themselves up as idols to obey. Lord have mercy on those that were and are currently being mislead.

@@mccallzupke3564 I am so happy for you that you are now free from the organization. I have been out almost 20 years, but still keep my finger on the pulse of what is going on with them. We still have family in it. We were never disfellowshiped but faded successfully. It's crazy how people can still believe this stuff Hook line and sinker especially when they see all the crazy changes. The final straw for me was the overlapping generation teaching. I was one of the rare people who actually read the Bible. I showed some elders a scripture saying Any one falsely prophesying will be destroyed and so I said to them the teaching of this generation will by no means pass away is now false so does that mean God is going to destroy me? They had no answer for me and I put it to them as now I am worried that my life is in danger because I had been teaching this thing that was taught to me. I'm not sure if I talk to any other Elders after that and they never bothered me again. I worked at a local pharmacy and would see congregation members there. I had a good reputation and for the most part continue to have one. I did not want to raise my children in this religion either and finally decided to leave when I had my third child. And the last time I ever went to an assembly was on the encouragement of my mother to go with her and that is when my fourth child was just a baby. I never went again. The last time I was in the Kingdom Hall was for a memorial service for dear friend of ours. Well as a Jehovah's Witness I carried so much guilt for breathing. That in itself is such an unhealthy state to be in when you are truly doing nothing wrong. When your existence is what you feel guilty for. My deep unhappiness was something I did not want to pass on to my children. And now I'm so happy I did not put my children through that. I wish you and your family a great deal of happiness. I realize that no life is going to be fully free of anxiety and strife but at least you will not be bombarded by guilt on a daily basis for just existing.

I always think about Jim Jones "people's temple"- these high control religions. I was 10yrs old when that story came out as a kid attending KH and I was leary of the JW and religions in general ever since.. If the GB was were really getting guidance and direction from God why are there so many changes to the doctrine calling it "new light" . God makes no mistakes and he is not communicating with anyone. We have to go through Jesus and they are not following the teachings of the Bible either and making stuff up as they go along.

Sometimes I feel fortunate that I didn't have to go through this, having dropped out at age 17 before getting baptized, butas humiliating as that was, maybe it's good to get a clean break and not live in a gray area with uncomfortable elephants in the room all the time, as I feel like with my family, who I don't talk to that much anymore. Just listening to this aggressive lawyer in by these elders until they get a person into a corner, it's upsetting and it reminds me of my past relationship with my dad, or perhaps anytime I'm a bring it up in the present. So even if something is customary, like letting children die to a blood doctrine that is holier than a sieve :) and easily refuted, means that you'll be ostracized and somehow not in God's favor. It's sad and lacks empathy to me, but I have lots of questions for the Bible itself we're always our loyalty is tested over our good common-sense and love for family.

I went to the JW meetings when I was younger with my mate who was in the "Truth". The JW's used the King James version and that was what we studied. I see now that they have rewritten it to suit their own purposes. I did research the so called scholarly translation undertaken by the Watchtower society. Current members might do well to question the translators as to their understanding of the Greek and Hebrew language. They are a joke. Your judges who call themselves elders seem to have no compassion and are hung up on definitions handed down from a group of men who believe they are ordained, like the Pope, by God. Crucifixion as per the references in the KJ version say "Crucifixion". That sounds like a cross to me.
I can’t see the need for men to pass judgment on anyone. What anyone thinks and believes is not anyones business. What two consenting adults do in privacy is also no one’s business. If someone has been harmed call the police. Otherwise people need to stay out of other people’s business.

You mentioned very important topics that they have dropped the ball on and they don't humble themselves but instead try to hide the past. I love your analogy that they are "like a parent teaching you stuff with dementia." So true. As far as what is truth...it's interesting how the Native Americans original interpretation of God is..."The Great Mystery." I like that because it seems to be the case that no can really 100% prove their truth and that the "God" they worship is truly the source of everything. I have personally been reading Zechariah Sitchin books and the Ra material.
Let’s make a parable into prophecy and apply it to a 3rd party ignoring where peter asked whom his words applied, to us (the disciples), or everyone, (the crowd). Then Jesus went into his parable referencing the individual works of each slave before the master (Jesus) returned. There is more than a faithful and discreet slave described. If it’s prophetic then all the other slaves described would have to be assigned as earthly organizations by name. Is it a partial prophecy? Funny how they give themselves the authority to prophecy on behalf of Jesus’ name….

Exactly! We were each given a brain with thinking ability and for any group to try to take that away really needs to be questioned. Yet, when my wife went to her with love and open arms and tried to understand why she never reached out for more in the organization and maybe relate to her on some level....instead she turns my wife in to her Dad the Elder and he gets the other Elders involved!!! I’m a lawyer since 14 years now and assisted to innumerable court hearings. This is a parody of something that means to be “judicial”: first hand the judge should precise exactly all the facts and then conclude how and to which extent the legal norm (here a Bible verse) applies to these facts. Neither the facts are established nor the Bible verse. Reading Proverbs 28:20 is just a bad joke as they’re not dealing with something hidden but an apparently known matter. Witnesses are not presented. One could go on. This shows how this Org lives in its own illusion and harms people thinking they represent the God of Justice. This is the well known pride all the clergy of JW has from uplevel to downlevel: without ANY formation or academic knowledge they think to be able to handle complicated judicial matters. A precondition to belong to the JW clergy is to NOT have any specialization because than Jehovahs spirit will deal with you because you are a “humble” person. I think y'all did a pretty good job handling yourself but I do have to say one thing... I really wish you guys would have used more scripture with these clowns.. When that clown asked you why you would not call yourself a Jehovah's witness and only call yourself a Christian in association with Jehovah's witnesses.... You could have put him in his place as Paul did Peter in the book of Galatians... But you could have used first Corinthians chapter 3... In fact the entire chapter because the first three verses and the last verse are very important... They will say they belong to Jehovah.... But Paul says that you belong to Christ.... Then they will turn and say but whatever belongs to Christ belongs to Jehovah.... But that's not what Paul said for you to do he said that you are to say that you belong to Christ.... 1st John 2:23 makes it clear that if you have the son you also have the father... But the Jehovah's witness will say I have the father so therefore I have the son... In fact I have just recently had a Jehovah's witness say that to me and I had to correct them... The reason I had to correct them is because I have a duty as a Christian... But also because they are twisting the scriptures around to say the opposite of what it actually says... I cannot lay the entire blame on the individual JW but some blame does go to them because they have the actual manual in front of them... But their brains have been washed with corruption and they have no idea what the scriptures actually say... And this is where you could have really put it to them... 1 Peter 4:16..."but if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not feel ashamed, but let him keep on glorifying God while bearing this name" NWT 2013 Acts 11:26...."after he found him, he brought him to antioch. So for a whole year they assembled with them in the congregation and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in antioch that the disciples were by Divine Providence called Christians" NWT 2013 Acts 26: 28-29..."but aprippa said to Paul: "in a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian" 29..."at this Paul said:"I wish to God that weather in a short time or in a long time, not only you but also all those who hear me today would become men such as I am, with the exception of these prison bonds" NWT 2013 I would have loved to see how they would have reacted to those scriptures...
Your right, there were many opportunities to put them in their place but we really didn't want to come across as fighting with them because we did not want to be disfellowshipped and cut off instantly from family and friends. Instead we were sincere and kept it simple and yet they wanted to make a example of us and disfellowshipped us anyway. Life is better anyway not in it and it's better it happened that way.

Yes, that is what we noticed as well! When he referred to the Father he definitely seemed to not be referring to the "Old Testament God". In fact when the religious leaders pointed out that their father was the God of Abraham he did not deny that. He just said their father was the Devil which seems to be identifying the blood-thirsty God of the Old Testament who was actually leading the Israelites. What a complete con!

I was trying my hardest to be humble. All of our families future was on the line in this moment and because of our courage to stand up to our integrity we were disfellowshipped and completely cut off from our family.
