In 3 minutes he explained to me why I have given up on everything and why I now despise and hate the things I used to enjoy.

@@shivaangmishra6854 He explains that life requires energy. Your mind and your body require immense amounts of energy to do anything. Our emotions consume enormous amounts of energy. Giving into those emotions, losing yourself in them, and constantly thinking in your head, that is, talking to yourself in your mind is an enormous energy drain. Depression, panic, fear, anger, pain, etc. all manifest when we talk to them and talk to ourselves about them in our mind. If you get angry, and stay in your mind reminding yourself of why you are angry and that of course you should be angry, how dare this person or thing do X, Y and Z, i am offended, i am angry etc. Etc. This is what causes you to continue your anger and feed your anger and this consumes massive amounts of energy. This is why Ive experienced great lethargy and exhaustion after anger, depressive episodes, anxiety and panic. You feed the fire of these emotions. By feeding them, you starve yourself, you waste your energy. I used to play piano trumpet and guitar for 13 years. Towards the end I was playing not because I enjoyed it and loved it, but my mind focused on fame, popularity, and turning my passion of music into, what Alan Watts calls "survivability and profit". Watts talks about how children don't understand or see anything based on "survivability and profit" that's why they enjoy things so much and see things as magical. That's how i used to see things, once I started seeing things as "i need to succeed and profit from this so I can survive via a career" all that energy spent on those thoughts starved the passion and love and magic i used to see in music before. I wasted energy on negative superfluous abstract ideas rather than what is real and what I feel. I don't know if that helped or made sense. These are things I've begun understanding years later because I've begun studying various philosophies. Alan Watts mentioned Murti so when I stumbled on this video i listened. I'm glad I did. I hope this helped you friend. May you be happy and content for the rest of your days.

@@pietroaretino6390 Have you been able to find a balance between your career i.e. solving your existential needs and on the other hand being able to play and discover music with child-like curiosity again after what you've been through? I am asking because I feel like a deer caught between headlights, constantly turning away from one to go to the other, but I feel like I must balance out both sides. Any thoughts on this?
@pietroaretino6390
@pietroaretino6390 3 года назад
@@lupebogi I've given up on career. I tried to follow that and lost my job due to COVID. I am very happy that I did lose my job. My "career" was not making me happy. I've just accepted how I truly feel and what I truly want. I never wanted a career. I never wanted money. I want a simple life, with my necessities and to be happy. I've spent the last part of my life, not being happy, following something I thought WOULD make me happy. This was stupid. However it was a valuable lesson. I truly believe in what Epictetus said, "Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants.” And its also really helped me to remind myself every single day "I am going to die". It really helps me not worry about things that I don't really care about. I'd be more content dying homeless and happy, then having lots of money and being depressed. Money, power, wealth, possessions, career, titles and status have all done nothing for me, except make me worried, anxious and depressed. I can't tell you what to do, except I truly believe there is no wrong "path". All paths, are the right paths. Do what makes you happy. Don't waste your time, energy and happiness NOW in hopes that something MIGHT make you happy in the future. I guess my advice is, do things for the sake of themselves, not for some hope, dream or fantasy in the future. I spent a lot of my savings to move from one place to another for a job and career I hoped would bring me money and stability. COVID happened and all that blew up in my face. Again, I am happy it did, it was the push I needed to truly understand and ask myself, what do I want and what am I doing? My point is, the future is a fantasy and a delusion. I rather spend my time right here and now helping people I care about and love, and helping myself be calm and happy. I don't know if my passion for music will ever return like it did, but I've become passionate about other things, philosophy and farming for one. My goal is to have a small farm one day and grow my own crops to feed me and my wife and whatever extra I have, sell. In the meantime to make money, I'm more than happy to do any job, that will give me enough money to pay for my simple bills and food. I have been blessed by my grandmother because she had an old home that was hers. She passed away two years ago and its been sitting run-down and unused for two years. Although I knew this, I had convinced myself I needed to work hard and make lots of money so that I could DESERVE to have a home. This was also a stupid delusion I made up. No one needs to deserve a roof over their heads. Everyone in my opinion should be entitled to a home, food/water and love. It's old, and needs a lot of repairs, but it is my families. I have decided to live there as I do not have to pay rent no property tax, because where I am from, you do not need to pay property tax on your only home. It has become a much more simple living than I used to have, and a lot less comforts and commodities. However, as Seneca said, "Until we have begun to go without them, we fail to realize how unnecessary many things are. We've been using them not because we needed them but because we had them.” But my number one goal has changed from money and career, to calmness, simplicity and happiness. I plan on helping anyone in my community who needs a place to stay, or who needs food or water. As my grandmother helped me, I want to help others. I hope that helped for what its worth.

Mostly, the relevant facts about misuse or misunderstanding of psychological and psychophysical energy factors mentioned by Krishnamurti are not considered to be dysfunctional causation by the populace because the traditional cultures are conditioned to predominantly religious and medical influences that are generally looking at the question of psychosomatic and psychosocial backgrounds. Consequently, they tend towards redressing symptoms of biological pathologies with pharmaceutical remedies at the exclusion of the body’s and brain’s natural intelligence potential energy force to maintain holistic health and psychological wellbeing. The help lines of society are mechanically oriented towards authority driven power and profits. Popular cultural pursuits include the rise of celebrity phenomena and sports/entertainment that draws attention away from the boredom of daily living with its travails.

Every word is apt. Measured. Right. All one las to do is listen. Simple as that. Why waste energy? Don’t. Let’s find out.

Ah yes. to live separate from thought' and from time. what state would arise if one were to do this. would it be the end of consciousness or the beginning of a different kind of consciousness. to live that way would surely conserve energy and therefore give one an extraordinary state of abundant energy and insight.

If we r meant to stay quiet and calm to cultivate a certain type of energy then why have we developed an imagination and thought chatter? Makes no sense why we have progressed this way on the path of evolution. Is that not conflict in itself?
@scavenski
@scavenski 3 года назад
We developed imagination to project on future events which includes thoughts. As primitive human beings, we needed this to, for example, prepare for winter or lay traps or invest in making bows. Today it has gone out of control.

is someone in conflict? if so, there is where his energy goes. whatever remains, is felt as your day to day energy. but that is only the remaining.
