Emilie and Josh, what a crazy few weeks you've had! I was getting a little worried when a few days of videos had been missed, but really, what a blessing this new home is! The children will have separate rooms and more responsibility, which is always good. A private yard to play and the pups to be safe. A playroom and room for all the other kids when they come visit. I can see your family enjoying this space, and the fact that there's more places for your family to walk and go for bike rides, this is absolutely a good thing. I'm so happy for you!
Honestly, this just shows how amazingly big the houses in Africa are and how much more space and freedom you can have . I loved the house tour and also hearing that things are a lot better ❤

It doesn't rain but it pours for you guys but look at the positive in that you now have privacy and a bigger space for you,your babies and dogs. The garage could definitely be a den, playroom, homework room, and your work station as well.

Could you have been paying water for the whole apartment complex? There was an older building in Toronto Ca, where the landlord had one tenant paying for water and electricity for 3 apartments. This wouldn’t work for our family - Tallie would feel like she’s being completely isolated whilst all the boys have each other! She’d be extremely upset. No problem with brothers and sisters sharing a room 😊 Also works better now the big boys in their own room because we let them stay up a bit later!

I'm so happy that you all have a good house to stay in and are the only ones in the compound! It's difficult living with others in Uganda. We also rent a single house now and it's made all the difference for me psychologically. 😊

1. They are siblings. Why does it matter if a boy and a girl shares? 2. Tallie would be extremely upset at the mere suggestion of sleeping by herself. She would feel that the boys are all getting to have fun together and she’s being punished. 3. The rooms are small, three in one would be a squeeze. 4. Age is more of a factor than gender, this works well because the older boys are also allowed to stay up a bit later than the others.
