Our Last Day At Disney's Aulani Resort In Hawaii! | Grand Villa Tour, Our Journey Home & More!

In today’s vlog we have our last day Disney’s Aulani Resort! We start the day with breakfast and then we head out the beach to give our flower lei back to the island, we also take some family pictures before we leave. Then we head up to one of the 3 bedroom grand villas to take a quick tour before we head out to the airport, the villa was amazing and the view was spectacular! Then it was time for us to head back to Florida. We have our flight to Minnesota and then our connecting flight to Orlando. We had a really smooth flight and Jackson did a great job! We were so proud of him. The airport did lose one of our bags, which has never happened to us before, but we got it back about 7 hours later and it was delivered right to our house. 3:13 That's a gold dust day gecko, famous for being the Geico Gecko. They are not native to Hawaii, as they originally from Madagascar, but due to them seemingly not affecting the local ecosystem in a negative way as far as we know, they are considered an alien species rather than an invasive one. They either got there as stowaways on trading ships or accidentally released from the pet trade, something that you guys being from Central Florida are probably all too familiar with, lol. Hope this was interesting!

I was just thinking the same thing about the cold. I was at the NHL winter classic at Target Field where it was -5 at game time. That is cold!🥶🥶 These guys are super cute especially Jackson.

Southerner here. Opposite story for us. We vacationed in Vegas during summer. The max temperature for the day was 107 degrees. The news was saying how unbearable it would be. As we sat at the pool, we laughed and said how comfortable it was without the humidity. Of course, we wouldn’t stand a chance in your colder climates. All about perspectives 😉

As much as I love them and have been watching since almost the beginning. Its no longer the vlogs of a normal family with daily vlogs and Disneyworld visits, but look at all these expensive vacations we are taking and hotels we stay at.

We’ve loved following along with these videos! My boyfriend lives on Oahu and I’ve been here visiting him and his parents for a bit. Yesterday we took a trip out to Aulani for a few hours and we loved it! We shopped and went to the beach and took in the resort. We’re both visually impaired and used your videos as way finding tools, as well as asking some cast members where things were. Maybe we’ll stay there someday for a night or two. Definitely felt the Disney magic. ❤️

Love Jackson’s T shirt. He looks so adorable. Love the phone holder in the gift shop. We took a tour also of the DVC villa . When were at WDW in May 2020… we now have Aulani Resort, as a second Home Resort . Saratoga Springs is our Main Home Resort. Have a blessed week. ❤️

I wanted to thank you for sharing so much of this trip with us! We went to Aulani for our honeymoon in 2019 and we loved it so much we became DVC members with Aulani as our home resort! Now we have our first trip as members coming up this November and we will celebrate our daughters first birthday while we are there 🥰 Watching these vlogs made us even more excited for our upcoming trip! I’m curious to know if you ended up joining DVC after this trip and why or why not? I’m so happy we are members but because of Covid we haven’t been able to take any trips with our points yet. With our upcoming trip in November what we would have paid for our room is literally half the cost of our contract 😳 so it’s very worth it for us!

Last days are soooo sad 😢! The last two times we went to Disney it rained on our go home day, makes it a little easier to leave that way. It looked like that lizard had a hidden Mickey on its back… that’s Disney’s dedication to a magical experience… they even put hidden Mickeys on the wildlife lol

I absolutely love Aulani. I am so happy I am a only a 5 hour flight from there. Tim you are so right, you guys do so many resort stays, you really need to give a very hard look at DVC. You are perfect for it.

My family has been DVC members since 1998 and they both agree it’s the absolute BEST! We travel to Disney every three or so years so we rack up points and save a lot of money! You should definitely look into it Tim!

Love the opening - Jackson laughing, tickling Jenn, bantering back and forth - he is SUCH a big boy now, with such op0eness and joy for life (and dancing!) and his laugh makes ME laugh!! :) I sure hope he retains most of his sunny nature and joy for life as he gets older! That Grand Villa was very nice, but didn't "wow" me as much as I thought it would, and I was surprised that for such a large unit, the washer/dryer is stackable, instead of full-sized. The view is spectacular, though! Wow - unless Jackson turns into a raving lunatic off-camera (which I highly doubt!) you are SO lucky - he is SO good on planes, even when he's awake - just watching videos, snacking, etc. What a sweetie he is!!! Glad they found/sent your souvenir suitcase. What a wonderful series of vlog -= thank you for much for sharing, and bringing me so much joy!! I would love to go to HI someday, but the flight is SOOOOOOO long! I used to fly quite frequently from CA to NY (non stop) cut haven't done it in YEARS, not sure I could do that now. Socially distanced hugs to the 3 of you from New Jersey. Stay strong, stay positive, stay healthy!

Jenn, this whole series of videos was amazing. What a joy to watch this adventure in paradise during the chilly days of winter! One question that I have: can you explain the DVC's and how much they are up front and how people use them? I know it is like a time share thing and you pay a bunch to "own" points but I've never understood how it works. After you pay up front, do you know how much it is annually? And what happens if you don't go anywhere one year. I know you aren't DVC experts but Tim said that he has been researching it and I wonder if you could give us some of your insight. Thanks!

First of all, thanks for all the videos. I live vicariously through you guys. I also love seeing Jackson, as he reminds me of my now 17-year-old when he was a baby. Speaking of my 17-year-old, we had flown six times to different places without a problem, when suddenly he became anxious about flying. What kind of plane were you on during your return flight to Minnesota? Maybe having the extra space would help him. Please let me know. Thanks

DVC is one of the best decisions we made. It is the only reason we are able to afford to stay at Aulani and the other deluxe resorts. Thanks for sharing. We are headed back to Aulani in December 2023. Thanks for the idea!

I definitely recommend DVC, especially because you guys are literally always doing staycations. And your families getting bigger. He be interested if you do it just to see if it’ll make a difference you can always sell it but it’ll be interesting.

You got your lost suitcase back in 7 hours and they brought it to you lucky! When I lost my suitcase on trip to Arizona when I was younger, Western Airlines put it on bus to where I was and it didn't arrive until my trip was almost over!

We need to chat about the 'long flight' you mentioned. We were lucky enough to visit Orlando a couple of times before covid, from South Africa. 10 Hour flight to Dubai. Then a 16 hour flight to Orlando... economy seating! Now that is a long a long trip!! :)

With how much you guys stay at Disney resorts, DVC probably would make a lot of sense. We just bought in though so slightly biased opinion haha. The Grand Villas look amazing but those things are pricey on points. On par with the Poly Bungalows and Copper Creek Cabins.

Enjoyed these Hawaii videos. I been only once. You need to visit Pearl Harbor. It’s a not to miss stop… Jackson will love going on the submarine and also the battleship that you can tour too. Also, we rented a SUV when we were there so we did all you did and a lot more for over 10 days for a a lot less than $800.00. We also had the convenience of having the car and going out or not each day. There is a nature preserve water inlet that has ton of 🐠 alot more than at the hotel. We were at the four season next door. I forgot the name of it but I’m sure you could look it up.
