Ellie, I had the same ingrown toenail procedure done 10 years ago...and I can still remember the pain. However, I let the ingrown part go far too long. I was nearly passing out from the pain of the ingrown toenail. So after getting it out, everything else seemed much less painful. Hang in there girl! It will get better soon!

Ellie, what about nail clips for ingrowing toenails? Where I live (Europe) it is very popular and less invasive, less painful procedure. If you have the same issue with the second toenail as well then maybe you should reconsider your options especially that you are pregnant. Why to hurt so much if there are other solutions.

Your toe looks SO much better than mine did! Haha! But it was the same foot (TWIN😂) but they cut deeper in to my toe to get ALL the way up to the root, so that half a centimeter side of the nail won’t grow out and be a problem again! 😱 So I guess my rules of staying off my feet was a little more severe..? Haha 🙈❤️

My brother has to get pedicures to prevent ingrowns (once it fully healed) and not gonna like when he says it makes a difference. Hope you start to feel better soon Ellie!

Next time you get your other ingrown nail removed, ask them to numb you with the version of lidocaine that lasts longer. When I had my ingrown nails done, they numbed me with this medication that is like lidocaine, but it lasts 4-5 days so when the medication wore off, my toe barely hurt!

I know how you feel, I had both complete big toenails taken off on the same day, the stuff they use to kill the nail bed to stop them growing I had an allergy to, I’m disabled, but that was more painful than anything, they were such a mess. Yours looks totally fine and will heal quick. I was meant to go back and have the rest of my toenails taken off.......but no way, they would have to laser them off, no thanks burning nails don’t sound to great to me! xxx
