I have one more year of nursing school left and I am working as well as being a mommy. I like that Claude was so upfront with the question of "Do you have any kids?" Even at the age that they were I still knew people that had children at 14, 15 and 16. And I'm not knocking that. You can definitely have children early and meet and marry someone. So I'm not saying that things won't work out for you if you have kids that young. But you have to know yourself and what you are able to deal with in any relationship no matter the age. I really like their love story. I thought I was going to cry because I'm a romantic. But I made it through the video. And I'm glad that I watched. I'm really impressed with all that they've accomplished. Both can sing. He went to both Yale and Duke. And she was a waitress, makeup artist and later a nurse.

I 100% agree with Claude. My husband and I were high school sweethearts and young parents and struggled together to build everything we have now. It creates such a bond. My husband always jokes that he'd never leave because we've built an empire. 😍

My lolli used to always help me flip the quote “The grass is greener on the other side” into a warning. - sometimes we don’t take the time to look down and see the grass we’re standing on is already really green. We just get adjusted to seeing it all the time that it doesn’t look as bright.. but when you step on the other side and notice how much lively hood came with the original grass, you end up never wanting to leave again… I loveeeeee that Gerd mentioned that that was necessary at the time because of how young you guys were. It gives us young people a realistic hope that love is real and we can always make a comeback! I say this every week but I love this episode 😩😩

Funny thing is I've been blessed with a good man but he has three beautiful kids. I'm still kid-free. Beautiful Love Story!!! Reminds me of my union with my hubby. I’m soooo glad we both started off in our relationship hustling. We lived in a small apartment and living on a limited income. But BAAAAAAABEEEE GOD has blessed us abundantly and we are living a life I only dreamt about. I’m so grateful and thankful for those hard days.

It sounds to me like Claud gave so much of herself (she gave it all) and Gerd gave what he could. When Gerd finally found himself he was like, “I got you from this moment forward,” and he did, he really did. I suppose the psychology of it is women get it right away and men take a little longer to get it (and that’s ok), but when they do and both parties are on the same page… the possibilities are endless. Thank you both for being so transparent and honest about the little things that make up the chemistry of your relationship. It is truly inspiring to see how life can be so beautiful even in the most difficult of moments. I remember seeing the episode of Claud’s birthday when Gerd was telling her “this house is under your name.” The magnitude of that moment totally makes sense now and I am here for it!
