Went out for ice cream with a guy I was dating. Get back to my apartment...and I should mention I’m lactose intolerant. I’m like ummm I’ll be right back just have to go to the bathroom. No joke, a 1/2 hour later he knocks on the door.. is everything ok? Me, yea just gonna take a shower. Him: The ice cream huh?? I fell in love that day 😂. And then after we watched a movie and he rubbed my belly as it rumbled for the rest of the night 😂. A couple weeks later I’m at his parents house for dinner. Desert, his dad goes...I got some lactaid ice cream for you because I hear you’re lactose intolerant 😂.

I’m visually impaired. So I can’t recognize people’s faces. One day I went to the grocery store with my husband and he told me to wait for him at one of the isles till he finished turning some plastic bottels in. I didn’t want to wait for him so tried to shop by myself and I lost him. Then I saw someone in a black coat and thought it was him. So I went over and started talking to the person: “honey, do you want to eat chicken or steak tonight?”. Then a strange man’s voice answered: “I certainly want to dine with you tonight, but I don’t know if your husband would like that.” After that I heard my husband answering: “You’re wright about that.”

Gosh. After being in an interabled/interracial relationship for 30+ years, there were a ton of embarrassing/funny moments. One that sticks out in my memory: My husband was dropping me off to get a haircut and we had to park on the street curbside. There was no room for me to transfer over from the car to my chair so he decided to just pick me up and put me in my chair. Well, after he picked me up, he tripped and we both ended up sitting in the gutter! A mailman happened to be walking by and assisted in a two person lift to get me into my chair. 🤣🤣

When my husband and I were 1st dating he took me to a function at his work, I got very drunk and was eating alot of raw carrots that night. We got home and I don't remember Falling asleep. But I did wake up you eventually and all the sheets were off the bed carrots were on the wall my husband was in the shower he said I sat up like the exorcist threw up in his ear but he still ended up marrying me must be true love 38 years later...

I had just moved in with my now husband (and mother in law), and I have a super sensitive stomach. My husband and I grabbed some McDonalds, and I just got nuggets and fries, nothing crazy. We ate it and went home, and lo and behold my stomach starts going “aaAaAAaaaaa”! So I head to the washroom and yep, it’s diarrhea. I’m in pain because of my 6 piece nugget meal, and I’m just hoping for it to be over when I hear my husband cracking up, and some footsteps in front of the washroom door. I finish up and walk out, and he’s still laughing. I just let it go, but he later tells me that his mom couldn’t stand the smell and she was walking around spraying air freshener. I’m still not over it, to this day whenever I even fart near her she gets scared. :’)

Me and my husband just hit our year anniversary but we haven’t been living together for quite a year yet. We are so comfortable around each other, I’m so glad I don’t have to hide my gas or stomach problems with him. He just walked in the bathroom to tell me something while I was sitting on the toilet after having diarrhea. True love, haha. It’s the best thing ever.

The catheter getting knocked out the FIRST sleepover...God knew what he was doing there lol It was a test...she passed with flying colors! Humility is so important. That was a moment where he knew, I can completely be myself with this girl and she loves and accepts me no matter what, and for who I am entirely... I would of done the same. Asked him to walk me through what to do. And done it without a question. When you love someone, it comes naturally. Care taking should be apart of EVERY relationship disabled or not. Just in different way's. You take care of the ones you love, period.

Aww I feel like you two are me and my husband 10 years ago! He is a paraplegic from a motor vehicle accident 18 years before we met. I have a funny poop story... lol. We call it “The Wedding Shit”. At the end of our wedding he got that ut oh feeling... maybe from all the excitement and stress of the day and we had to make a bee line to the car. I had to drive him home because his parents had to finish paying the venue. I had no license on me and i am in my wedding dress speeding down the highway with a man ready to explode out the crap of his life! Thankfully we got back without getting pulled over! Made it to the toilet and boom! The most god awful bm you ever smelled. I pushed that chair so hard in my dress that i had axel grease on it. His family finally shows up and wants to see the photos. So they come in the bedroom and almost pass out from the stink! But they all hung around to see the pics! Meanwhile my husband is still in the bathroom doing his business and the door is open lol But nobody cared! Good times!

I am in an interabled relationship as well and one time I was waiting at a club for the wheelchair accessible bathroom to be vacant. My girlfriend was standing behind me, waiting with me. After what felt like forever a drunk guy and a woman came out (I don't wanna know what they were doing in there). The guy gave me a glazed look, looked at my girlfriend and asked "is she your caregiver?" And I was so pissed because I had been waiting forever and it was obvious that he didn't really need to use the accessible bathroom. So I said "No she's my girlfriend. Now f*ck off because I really need to pee." He gave me a "confused/suprised look and weaaved off.

Ohhh I have a story but it's not with my partner, it's with my cousin who is disabled and needs a hand to walk and doesn't have the best sense of balance... Well we were in a bar where there was a dj putting music on and we were sitting but I saw that he was having fun so I asked him if he wanted to dance, he said yes so I helped him stand up and we walked to the dance floor, we were dancing close because I needed to keep his balance and when he leaned a bit too much I couldn't carry his weight back to a standing position, so we slowly fell down in the middle of the dance floor 😂😅 it was the slowest fall I've ever had and after we were in the floor we were laughing so hard that people weren't even sure if we needed help. In the end two kind men helped me get my cousin back on his feet and we sat down, not more dancing for us that night lol

Before my wife and I got married, I got too drunk at a birthday party and threw up tacos out of my wife's new Jeep window for 45 minutes on the way home. I’ve only had one relationship it was for 9 months. His mum was disabled which was super helpful. But honestly I think he is more clumsy than me 😂. One funny moment is when we had to share a single bed and he put me on the outside so I could go to the bathroom etc. But because I don’t have much core strengt and was laying on my side during the night when I relaxed I just fell out of bed. It was so funny because I just went uh babe .... and he looked over and was dying laughing. I was just sat there waiting for him to calm down. Also once was doing wheelies with me and he got his foot caught on the wheelchair and fell over LMFAO This is what I mean about him being more clumsy. I’m lucky he didn’t drop me on my head

John and my first date back in 1981 we went to see The French Lieutenant's Woman. I was riding on his lap on the way home. ( it was very romantic!) Untill... we went down a steep curb cut and broke his foot rests!

You two are so adorable! I can see the love in your eyes when you look at each other. Absolutely beautiful! As for embarrassing moments my husband and I can relate. My husband's not a quadriplegic but he has ptsd and a brain injury from being overseas. Due to his conditions we have had many embarrassing moments. One time our children wanted to go to a baseball game, being the father he is he said hed take them. We got there early so he could assess the place and get a seat where he'd be comfortable. Once everyone started filling in and touching him he lost it. Full melt down, flash backs and he was on the floor freaking out. Just remember its not those moments that make you its how you handle them. Keep up with the great videos.

Hi cole and charisma, this is such a cool stories. I get that Some situations are embarresing and uncomfortable. But you 2 are such a cute couple and the fact how charisma deal with Some situations shows how much she loves you and that there is nothing what stops her for loving you. Hey you two so glad to get the notification that you had a new vlog up. I was dating this guy and he took me to a hamburger place for dinner. Well we went back to his place to watch football and my stomach started to rumble. The food had made me sick and I told him I’m sorry but i have to use your bathroom. 10 minutes later I came out he said “you owe me”. I said “for what”. He said “to repair my walls, you tore the paint off of and the cracks in my walls out here”. Lol We laughed about that for the longest time.

Hi Cole and Charisma, loved the video and thank you so much for making me giggle out loud at all of the stories. You guys are so sweet. I have a funny story. My husband and I had been dating for about 2 weeks and we went to eat after a movie. We ordered our meal, We are talking, food arrives and my husband is shaking the mustard. We did not know that the lid was not on tight, mustard went flying in my hair, on my black sweater, on my face. The diners around us got quiet and my husband thought I was going to blow a gasket as did everyone around us. He was turning bright red & thought I was going to break up w/him because of it. I am not the 1st African American he dated but he thought we were done. I had also spent hours at the beautician the day before. I started laughing so hard because he looked so panicked. He started wiping my face and sweater, the waitress helped, a diner came over to help. Well needless to say we are still together 23 yrs and 16 yr old twins later. Cole and Charisma stay happy, in love and positive. Tina in Cali
