Haha thanks mate, really kind of you to share that! Absolutely mate once this car is finished getting painted we are heading north! Have an amazing week mate!
Absolutely mint guys so stoked for you and can’t wait to see where this years adventures take you and follow along. Until I’ve saved enough pennies to buy something even close to this I’ll continue to live vicariously through you 2 👍😀
It all looks great! We are getting a Separette Villa for our van...regarding your venting how did you direct the vent pipe? Our toilet will be on the road side of the caravan and I was thinking it could just direct vent thru the side as I've seen others mention there's really no smell to be noticed even with a low level vent.
Hi Josh. Just letting you know people are stilling waiting to see your in-depth review on the battery system which is the most expensive add on to a caravan.
Hi guys. We just placed our order for a new Lotus van and would love to hear your thoughts on your tiny Separret composting loo after having it for a few months.
Hey guys. Great vid and awesome looking van! Quick question... what is the box on the chassis under the hot water system for? Is it the compressor for the airbags or something else?
Love the van, do you find not having a mudflap between the door step and front axle you get a lot of mud/dirt all over your step? Especially with mud terrain tyres.
Thanks guys appreciate it! We have the system from Out There Internet which we have used for about 14 months now and love it. We also bought Starlink which we will most likely just use for remote locations
Hi - Thanks for the video and love the layout / setup. I'm taller as well and like the idea of the offset bed. You mention Josh is about 6ft....could I please ask how tall in cm? I am 192 cm tall and the specs say that internal height on the Lotus vans is 1946mm, so that wouldn't allow much clearance for me. Josh, do you ever feel like ducking when you walk around inside - or do you get a "trapped in a box" feeling? I'm keen on the Transformer but not sure about the height (will have to lock in a trip to the next caravan show).
Thanks mate! I am around 184cm, the roof height is no dramas for me. I do know there is an option to raise the roof height, I can’t remember exactly how high though. Definitely be worth looking into with your local dealer or head to the Brisbane show next week, we will be there!
Hi Guys, nice van, I do have a question, when you picked up your van were you supplied with the air hose that runs off the CruiseMaster airbag suspension system, or is this something you need to buy separately? enjoying your vids,Cheers Les & Denise
Hi great setup. We are in the process of buying our van, yours looks along the lines of what we are chasing especially the solar and battery set up. Do you a list of that somewhere? Have you had the total rig weighed? Thanks AA
Perfect! We explain and give a run down of the batteries and solar in the video, 900 amps, 14000 watts on the roof and we carry 600 watts external. Perfect combo!
Hi guys, Can you send us some info on your water purification setup. We are looking at doing something in our house to get rid of fluoride. Gret set up by the way too.
Hi Guys Can you tell me where you got the BBQ slide out from?? Also, noticed you don’t have the high lid Weber with thermo gauge on it….is this because it won’t fit in the door opening ? Thinking of doing the same on my new Lotus Cheers
Hey! Honestly not sure of the brand of the slide, its just what Lotus use! With the slide, the high lid weber just doesn't fit unfortunately, we found this out the hard way haha! Thanks for watching and congrats on the new Lotus!
Hey guys. Sweet van and great vid. I recently got my trooper with monster power as well. I have 6 x 200 on the roof and 500 external. How are you getting the 100+ amps of solar with only 80 amps of Mppt (2x40)? Do you have a third solar charge controller?
Thanks mate and congrats on your Trooper, that's a wicked set up! As I mentioned in the video mate 80 amps off the roof on a good day which goes through the 2 x 40 amp MPPT chargers. Then my external solar panels go through the 40 amp DC2DC charger which gets me 30 amps, totally a max around 110 amps of Solar. Have an amazing week mate!
@@Travellingcampers ok sweet. So I will check with Lotus to make sure my external solar is wired through my DCDC - didn’t know you could do that! Thank you!
So if you don't have gray water tanks, what do you do with the gray water you produce? You dump it right away on the ground? If so, that would be highly illegal in Europe, I'm sursprise you can do something like that in Australia.
Guys what a terrific walk through. Can I ask you the price as your have specked? I hope you don't mind, it's just you have a setup that is perfect for me and I would love to know what cost I am looking at here? Best Mark
That is amazing. How do you people afford such vehicles lol. Now before you say work hard. I do. I guess this is the hard part of solo parenting sigh only one income. I’ll just live vicariously through RU-vid hahaha. Winnie the Windsor shall have to do for now. Enjoy your beautiful van 😍
Hard work but with the right opportunity behind you mate. Keep grinding, keep the vision strong and get out and give yourself and your family some memories to remember mate! Thanks for watching!
Hey Mark main thing is sidewall strength and durability especially when the tire is aired down on corrugations/rocks etc. Not for traction as there is obviously no drive to them, and yes they look amazing also. Have an awesome week mate!
@@Travellingcampers I wish!! If I could afford one it would have bright colours and very little, if any, black. I can not understand this love of black vehicles around now.
