You guys make me smile! To the person who said they are never satisfied, they are the opposite. They are always satisfied. They live life to the fullest. Not afraid to try new things and explore new place. Its a beautiful thing!!
Mike becoming a pilot was not on my bingo card, but I’m also not surprised after following you for a long time. When you said ‘pilot’, I immediately thought that Mike would be a very good pilot. Perfect temperament. It’s a very exciting time for you. Enjoy.
Please look into the physical/health requirements needed to become a commercial pilot according to the FAA. This is a very expensive road and if you cannot pass a first class medical (which you have to get done every 6 months) and EKG (any one over 40, done once a year) and keep it your full flying career (until age 65) you will not have a job flying. Recommendation from a pilot wife-take the first class medical now before you start down this path. Many blessings to you and the family on your next adventure in life.
Super inspiring Mike. I love that you are realizing a lifelong dream. Your love and encouragement for each other is a wonderful thing to behold. Yes. Please continue vlogging. I've been watching your channel for so many years that it would be strange not to be able to see what y'all are up to next. ❤
I was thinking Mike looked younger , maybe it was a new haircut… It was the news about the flight schooling that has made a change in him. Your family is loving and a supportive wife and or husband is so important. I am always all in, you know that. You are consistent no matter what you do.. love you all… be safe! You are blessed
My son trained for a pilot and achieved his instrument training certificate right before the pandemic. It was about $30,000. He was devastated and couldn't see the way forward. The love is still there. I'm thinking to give him a little push after watching this video, so thanks.
I started watching y’all in 2017 when you were RVing & it’s only been 7yrs & you guys have packed more into those 7yrs than I will in probably a lifetime. Don’t worry about the judgements. You love the Lord, love your children, love each other, pay your bills & don’t need handouts. It’s a pretty great life. Keep doing what makes you happy ❤ I’m super excited to watch it all.
So very happy for you Mike I actually got teary-eyed watching you drive to your first lesson! I always think that when God has a plan for you things fall into place very quickly. Bless you all.
As someone who has that nomadic spirit myself, these changes make total sense. I’m someone who loves changes, exploring, and going to new places. I went back to school and became a travel nurse after being a teacher for a while so my job would allow me to travel. I lived in an Rv for a bit and did short rentals as I moved from place to place every 3 months. I love that you are so nomadic while having kids! Not only does it help them with learning adjusting to change at a young age but they can see that mom and dad aren’t afraid to go after their dreams. You both are blessed to have partners who have the same nomadic spirit. Can’t wait to see all the adventures you guys get up to in the future
There is absolutely nothing wrong with a new career path at 45. I started nursing school around that time and next year I celebrate 9 years as an RN ❤ Best career change ever! Good luck and I will certainly continue watching your progress Mike and all the adventures!
What a beautiful epiphany you've had. I'm really happy for you, Mike. I hope you are so proud of yourself. My husband and I live exactly the same way as you two with our 4 kids. We take chances and talk as a family before we make any choices. We moved across country 4 years ago and are looking at moving to Hawaii at the end of the year. We are nomadic and are happy together no matter where we are. We all just follow our hearts and let our kids think the same way-- outside of the box. I also want to offer my support to you for making the right call with your parents. I think it's wonderful that you considered both their needs and yours. Ignore any negative comments. I'm so glad to see you all back in the RV!:-)
Knorppe and South on the move again! Love your spontaneity and adventurous spirits- you are giving the “gift of a life WELL lived” to your children! BRAVO TO YOU BOTH FOR BEING YOU🎉 LOVE YOUR CHANNEL SO MUCH
We love watching your adventures! My husband and I have moved total of 13 times. And we know there’s more in the future…. We both retired and started a new business and we are in our 60’s. Yes, God does love to give us the desires of our heart. ❤
Yay! For you and your family, I love watching your RU-vid adventures! And I have enjoyed being able to go everywhere with you! Thank you for sharing your life with me! I live in Utah and actually met Daniel at Chic-fil-A when he worked there. He was polite and so nice to visit with! I am LDS too and I love how you have found our Church family wherever you have lived! You have truly been blessed and guided! I look forward to following you all on your new adventures! Thank you again for sharing with me your life! 🤗
Having followed your ventures and experiences for four years I am very, very, very proud of you both for this decision your life. You put it out there and once again you did it… I so admire your adventures of spirit… God bless you both and your entire family. Brad Onorato & family, Napa Valley, CA
My husbands dream is to be a landlord, I know that sounds odd, but his family had to deal with a lot of unscrupulous landlords as he was growing up, and any time they had a good one it stuck out to him. He wants to be someone who keeps nice homes at fair prices and doesn’t let the bottom line dictate people’s lives. He realized this in 2016 and we are still working on it, but I am so glad he was able to really think about what he wants from life- previously he thought he didn’t have choices and was stuck in life.
Mike has the perfect personality for a pilot! I’ve been watching a really long time, started as you were getting ready to move into the RV the first time, and I don’t remember Mike ever loosing his temper or getting really worked up and stressed. So calm and even tempered! ❤️❤️
I can understand wanting to fly. I got my license when i was 18. I'm now 47 and would love to fly again as a hobby, but I can't imagine wanting an airline job. Long hours away from family would be too hard. However, im glad some people are willing! I'm a woman, by the way, and I'm sure there are plenty of other woman out there who are interested in flying as well!
there might be a lot lot lots of people who would love to live your life and your dreams, at the end its a matter of money. Your courage is incredible!!, chapeau
I have never seen Mike smile so much in all these years. He is in his "realm" of his dream, and I think it is a fantastic fit. If not now when? That is how I look at things at my age........live some of those dreams and maybe they were always meant to be more than dreams but just had to be the right time in life! It appears that time for you is now! I'm thrilled for you and can't wait to see what transpires! Live your dreams now, as tomorrow is so unsure! Blessings and..................... go for it!!!!!
Sooo exciting!!!! Congratulations. I think Mike should just add a separate series to this same channel for his flying. Nothing crazy but love following all your “big ideas”. We are exactly the same way making beautiful memories through new experiences. So excited for yall and that you are vulnerable enough to share!
My friend’s parents live in a neighborhood for pilots with a runway in the middle it. All of the houses have a hanger for their planes. 😊 ✈️ Look for an airpark neighborhood. Good Luck 🍀
YES, I would LOVE a channel about your Flight School!!! I ALWAYS wanted to fly!!! I took ground school but when it came to flight school, it was too expensive for me to do. Now I’m 72 had a stroke in 2011 (no lasting effects) and flying is in my dreams. So, GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!!
Why would anyone be bothered? it is your life. It makes for a very interesting channel. It is great that your kids are learning to be flexible. Cannot wait to see where you end up next.
I remember when you found the warehouse. I started watching when you were finishing up your big travel around the states and am always happy to see news of your family. Good luck in this latest adventure.
Our son is a pilot. We had a similar experience when he told us at the age of 20 that he wanted to be a pilot. ZING! I knew in my heart it was right for him. He now flies the 787 Dreamliner and we get to fly all over the world at a huge discount. Wishing you all the best from Vancouver, Canada.
HOW EXCITING!!! Mike will make an amazing Pilot and it's never too late to change careers! I became a Registered Nurse at 44 and love the choice I made! I think a flying channel would be so interesting!
So good to hear how the Lord is providing. I’m in a transition as well. My boss sold her business so Friday is my last day at work. Being 77 and needing to work, it’s scary but the Lord is providing.
Awesome guys! I love that you are so adventurous. I only wish I had half that courage to try new things. Love to watch. Congrats on the new direction for Mike.
So very happy for Mike you have worked so hard building your previous home, and so deserving of attaining your dream becoming a pilot!! Blessings to you all.❤
Congratulations Mike and Megan! I admire your zest for life and willingness to share it with us all! You inspire me to dream and not fear change. I adore you both! ❤
Mike congratulations on becoming a pilot! It's fantastic , for me a pilot has always been the most esteemed profession in the world. And the fact that you are realising your dream now , at the point in life where most people would not be bothered anymore, or be too scared, or too lazy to jump into such an adventure , this is truely amazing. You both are. Such love and support and understanding - blessings to you All 💝
Glad you and the kids have adjusted so well to RV life. Have the kitties also adjusted well? Hope flying school goes well and congratulations on your first solo, Mike.
I love this!! My friend had a flight school and has been inviting me up to fly. I’ve always been a little afraid. But you have inspired me that maybe facing my fears will be very freeing. Good luck. Can’t wait to follow your next journey.
Woohoo! life is always an adventure! Two days after I turned 61 I graduated with a degree in secondary education. You are never too old to try new things or fulfilling dreams. Happiness is the goal! Good luck on your new adventure! And yes, absolutely, positively we are guided to our happiness, if we listen.
Wow! Do it! You guys are always full of surprises! Mikes wide smiling constant grin shows just how much he is enjoying this change of plans! Good luck with all the things!❤️😎
What a curve ball and I LOVE that! The footage of Mike's first flight, it was like "oh! Mike IS a pilot!", like it is meant to be. Congratulations! 🎉🛩️
Hi I've followed you guys forever thru all kinds of stuff and I've stayed because you guys just GO FOR IT and live life by FAITH! I wish you well Mike on your pilot school and hope that if you start your own pilot channel, you please post that content here as well! God bless! -PJ
I love your nomadic life style! As long as you have each other, you can do anything!!! You are a great example to your children to follow their dreams. Can’t wait to see the next video!!
Great idea for blog Mike and so happy for you to realize your dream of flying! Megan you are so wonderful to support Mike in his new adventure. Congratulations to both of you and family 🎉
Pilot training was not on my bingo card either lol but I think it's fantastic! A perfect way to teach others that your dreams can become reality and that you're never to old to realise them. I genuinely want to see where this chapter takes you all, wishing you fun times and good luck ❤❤
