Very sweet! I'm excited and curious to see another 'tug style' insides and systems lay out being how i'm working at American Tugs. And funny how we were just talking about how nobody has left any comments on videos. 😀 The seal has been broken.
This is exactly the boat we have been looking for to cruise the San Juan and Channel Islands until we retire in 2030, and can trailer it back East to spend a year on America's Great Loop! Our son is interested in a career in Marine Diesel, but he is currently a Junior at Snohomish HS, so he won't be ready to enroll in your program this year. To add yet another coincidence, our last name is the same as the boat donor's first name. I will certainly be following the Lady M project this year. We would definitely be interested in putting an offer on the boat when your students finish the restoration next year. It would be big upgrade from our current Caledonia Yawl.
We should get him up for a tour and talk details. We encourage students to start lining things up early, while they are seniors, lots of opportunities!!
So pleased to come across this video of the work you are doing. I'm a long time San Juan Island fan having cruised there for years. My family had roots on Camano. I recently sold a 45' trawler (Shantina) which was slipped in Anacortes. I surely would have used your program when making decisions about Shantina's welfare.
Be very interested on the outcome of the engine. have Cutwater 26 same manufacturer with volvo D3 engine 680 hours and it faiiled also. If you re power would like to see how you did it as part of the engine is under the cabin and tight area.
