@@destiny8967 think about the cost of an actual pet though. Vaccinations/medical costs, food, harness, toys, bed, and the actual cost of the pet. A one time payment of 3000 for kids who can't have an actual pet really isnt that bad

@@aldnn350 youre right but personally i would buy my kid or me a real dog just cause it teaches them a lot of responsibility and i am a studying zoologist so i think it is worth it. Personally tho thats what i would do.

I was referring to kids who literally cannot have a pet, whether it be due to allergies or other factors and how this would be a great alternative. Yes it's expensive, and doesnt have the same type of emotional response, but I think it's a good idea

@@aldnn350 yeah I agree it can be good but there are also other pets with no allergies and hypoallergenic dogs. Plus if your child has a mental disorder a hypoallergenic therapy dog would be great for them to build those social interactions better. I think if this robot dog was cheaper it would be a good toy but since it is so expensive it is clearly trying to be a dog replacement which i think yes it can be good for some who just dont have time to take care of a dog.

Not really, you need to give things a long time to settle and for people to relax and get to the acceptance part of guilt. Believe me it's happened to my family (for both cat and dog (different years apart)), it takes a long time, for the cat it was about a year. For our dog, it is still going.

I agree, I don't think I could ever trust a robot. That's why no matter how hard companies try to shove "smart" tv's, alexa, etc I don't own any of them and go out of my way to avoid them and fully disable anything similar. My private life isn't for sale.
