Our new Kioti CK2610 - Why we bought this over a Kubota...

Long story short, the Kubota dealer ghosted us and apparently our small tractor purchase wasn't important enough for them. So, we looked at other brands around us and landed on the Kioti.
Was it worth it?
Let me know what you think and if you have any tips/tricks/comments I could use.
Thanks for watching.

I bought a Kioti RX 6620 about 9mos ago...I looked at New Holland , LS, Mahindra, Kubota, and Yanmar.( I already own a small Yanmar.) My 1st test drive was a NH 60 hp workmaster. I couldn't believe how disappointed I was with it. HUGE turning radius, very clumsy controls, clutch, ergonomics, etc. The Kubota dealer didn't seem very interested in doing business, no follow-up, had heard about Mahindra emission problems that lead to engine failure and no warranty support. Had heard great things about Kioti from Multi-line tractor dealers and Kioti owner RU-vid videos. So I just had to decide which model. Started looking at CK and DK models 50-60 hp. Then test drove a RX 7320 at the dealership that I ultimately bought my 66 from. Man! What a joy to operate! Ergonomic, intuitive, powerful, comfortable. So after several months of test drives and studying the specs. I got the RX 6620 Cab. I absolutely love it! It is a BEAST! Loaded with features, some that Kubota doesn't even offer, like a rear 3 point control for hooking up implements so you don't have to climb up and down on the tractor. And it was about 10k less expensive than Kubota! The only issue is the rear end gets light with a lot of weight on the loader...common problem...so I added 800lbs of wheel weights... helped a bunch but I'm planning on making a 3 point mounted balast weight for when I don't have an implement on back for tight space maneuvering. Bottom line...I would encourage any tractor buyer to at least look at a Kioti before buying anything else! I think you've made a wise choice and welcome to the PACK!

Thank you! I've heard so many great things about Kioti, and so many similar responses with Kubota dealerships. I love having this tractor. We only habe 5 acres, so I don't need anything bigger, but my goal is 100+ acres someday. When that happens and I need something bigger, I'll be at a Kioti dealer.

Good video, I have a CK10 also, the clutch is for the PTO only (and starting). To help with smooth shifting, just engage the hydro stat by pressing the forward or back peddle then release, you may need to try a couple of times, but it will shift smoothly without effort. If it's hard to shift don't force it, just try the above again, it just takes a split second to do. I hope this helps.

Nice tractor! I bought it's twin, a Bobcat CT2025. I gotta recommend you consider getting some pallet forks. They'll change your life. I use them ten times more than the bucket. Also, if you'll be using the loader for more than 400 lbs, you're going to want/need some rear ballast. You can get two birds stoned at once and get whatever attachment that'll work as ballast as well. Good luck!
@quengafarm
@quengafarm Год назад
Thanks! I definitely want pallet forks, and I imagine using them a lot more once all our ground prep is done. Right now we use the bucket all day everyday. We're scooping and moving landscaping rocks, dirt, mulch and compost daily right now. Pallet forks and a grapple are next on the list. We just got a 5' tiller that'll help with weight on the back, but I've picked up full loads of rocks with not a ton of issue. A bit bouncy and tippy, but all flat land, so not too bad. Can't wait to see how it does with the tiller on the back.

How do you like the Bobcat? Is the price the same as Kioti? I have a new Bobcat dealer closer to me than the Kioti dealer is why I ask.
@zaprowsdower7664
@zaprowsdower7664 Год назад
@@kenlee5015 So far I'm loving the Bobcat with 32 hours on it now. I was originally shopping for a Kioti CK2610 but long-story short, the local Kioti dealer didn't seem interested in selling me a tractor (and had none in stock) in the same sort of way Quenga described in this vid with his Kubota dealer. So the next closest Bobcat dealer had one in stock and were happy to take my money. My understanding is that the Bobcat tractor is a rebadged Kioti and everything attached to it is designed by Bobcat, but manufactured by Daedong. It's hard to compare the loader/backhoe specs between the two because they measure in different ways. Overall from what I know, the Kioti pros are it apparently has a USB charger. Pros for the Bobcat is I love the white colour. It looks great in the yard and isn't that abnoxious Kioti/Kubota orange that can be seen from space. They're really that close as far as I know. My recommendation is to buy from your preferred dealer and if it's a coin toss, I honestly really like the white paint lol. I know it's kinda dumb, but I turn around and look at it as I'm walking away. ;) Edit: I believe price was comparable because Bobcat had a promotion of getting the loader free ($5400+tax) if you paid cash. I don't know the exact Kioti price because 2 months later the fawking dealer hasn't called me back.

I literally was going to buy a Kubota for somewhere in the ballpark of $45,000. I had great credit. It would of been a slam dunk buy, but the salesman failed on his part. He never followed thru with his side of the deal. Basically blew me and never called me back to finish the sale. Seen the salesman at a sporting good place and his jaw hit the ground when he seen. He tried to get me to come back into kubota and finish the sale. He was totally embarrassed and started making up excuses after excuses for not calling me back. His loss and Kubota lost out on $45,000 and possibly future business from me. I refuse to go back to that Kubota dealership.

I am with you on the price of the Kubota. I didn't even go to the dealer. I looked at bobcat and when I found out that they were just white painted Kioti tractors, it seemed a little like buying off of color. The bobcat had a backhoe that was a little heavier duty than the Kioti brand but I went with the Kioti because in Colorado I found a dealer that had a pretty good deal. I got implements and the tractor with the bucket for a decent price. It just was a no brainer. The insurance was a must for me as we have too many damn thieves out there. I have been very happy with my Kioti. I am like you that I will be using the heck out of my tractor for about a year and then maybe it will sit a bit and I can just mow or work someone's property a little but the option there is to sell it. With how hard it is to just get a decent tractor the resale seems pretty good. They make an insert for the cup holder to hold the larger insulated cups....look on amazon. Look at the aftermarket canopy....it is a game changer.

Was actually leaning toward the orange ready to get the final "convincing" I needed to sign a deal, dealership here couldn't be bothered to discuss a thing. Crawled all over the model on the lot, not a single rep engaged. Tried to find someone and it seemed as though I was more a bother than a customer....went green based almost entirely on the great customer experience. Kioti was a close consideration, almost non existent in my area though.

Thank you for talking about buying and Finance. I see you own a Chevy truck. I have always been a Ford pickup buyer. My last two pickups were FORDS three quarter ton. I had the same experience you did going to Ford Dealership. I had a Ford truck. The guy would NOT even test drive my 2000 for trade in value. He said I would have to put money down to be on the wait list, even for low mileage 2021 and newer pickups. I said "WTF" no way. I had already gone to Dodge Liked the Cummins engine. That Dealership TEST drove my Ford NO requirements to buy, he found Low mileage Dodge Cummins he would bring in for me. I went to the local Chevy dealership, and fell in Love with the used low mileage 2021 1 Ton- Z-71 Silverado Duramax Allison 4 door 8 foot bed. Must have an 8 foot bed. My 2000 power plant was the V-10 Gas engine. Terrible fuel economy, but great hauler for my boat. The Chevy salesman talked more about his fishing trips, and no pressure to buy, spent as much time as we needed talking about everything (GM) had to offer. He let us take the truck for driving as much as we wanted. Gave us better Trade in value for my 2000 Ford. As soon as I started driving the 1 Ton with the driver's seat being fully automatic adjustment. Loved the comfort, felt like my wife's parents CADDY. I have taken it in soft Ocean sandy beaches, just powers through the soft sand. I have taken it up on the mountain pass in state with unplowed side roads to my brother-in-law at the ski area The snow was up to the frame of the truck, it just powered though in 4 × 4 LOW. Like you said about experience with sales staff. I changed my life long Ford buying to GM because Dealership just did NOT seem to care about me when I went in. My wife had a Ford (Flex) after the warranty expired the service at Ford Dealership just seemed to NOT care anymore. I have always bought a Ford vehicle. This Silverado 1 Ton is my dream pickup. I love driving her.
@quengafarm
@quengafarm Год назад
Yeah, a lot of people don't share some of this info, so I just wanna share everything. I'm not necessarily brand loyal, but I always tend to go GM with trucks. We actually didn't even look at Ram trucks because we've had a Jeep and Chrysler, and both just had constant issues, rattling plastics and just didn't hold up well over time. Both were newer and lower mileage, compared to what I usually get, and just not great. We liked them, but lots of gremlins for their age we thought. This truck is a 2016, 100k miles when we bought it and not a single issue, drives like new, tons of power and comfort... most of my vehicle history is with cars over 100k, and none of them come close to being this good. We wanted newer, but prices were just beginning to skyrocket and inventory was flying. We bought this the day after it arrived in their lot, they hadn't even looked at it yet. We're going to upgrade to a newer dually in the next couple of years, but for now, I love this truck.

Yeah, it seems like green tractors are always closer to everyone, aren't they. They are the closest dealer to us as well, but that dealer is more focused on construction and larger utility tractors. I don't think they even stock compact equipment, and I got the feeling, locally, that compacts are an after thought for them. The dealer we purchased from pretty much only sells compact / sub-compact tractors, so that was a small consideration as well.

No offense but I do not know anyone including myself who has worn out an ankle from operating the Kubota forward/reverse single pedal. I have been using my B2100 since 1998 and neither the pedal nor my ankle have given out. I my opinion the dual pedal is barely okay as an alternative to the shuttle because in a panic an operator can press the wrong one and instead of reversing that person ends up running into an object or if lucky pressing both and nothing happens, the latter is the best possible outcome. The other part of the 2 pedal is the lack of fine control to position the tractor ...with the Kubota shuttle the operator can position that tractor within a 1/2 inch of any spot desired ..on flat ground ,up or down hill. Kiotis are nice tractors and if I was in the market to buy a new tractor I would consider them but for two things, they have a horrible website as opposed to Kubota , and in my neck of the woods the nearest dealer is 60 mile away versus 2 Kubota dealers 18 and 22 miles respectively...parts for Kubota are pricey ...but they make them available for the first to the most recent tractors they make. Tractors are a big money investment , Kubota hold their resale value for all the right reasons. By the way, nice tractor 👍..have fun 😄
@quengafarm
@quengafarm Год назад
All great points. I'm not sure my ankle would've had any issues, but it was a random thought I had. I OFTEN press the wrong pedal and go the wrong way, and have ran into things. Including my truck when I was loading soil... So now there's a reminder dent every time I walk up to it. With that said, I also tend to be uncoordinated and often do the opposite of what I'm thinking I'm doing. No doubt I would push the Kubota pedal the wrong way. Just like when I tell my wife to turn right and point left on nearly 80% of left hand turns, lol. Ultimately, dealer choice and the fact that I saved thousands is what I'm happy with. I personally don't care about resale value as I don't ever see myself selling. This tractor will hopefully make it to my children. If I need a bigger one someday, I'll just have multiple tractors.
