Nice to see you both back in Naxos! We visited in September and loved it. Wonderful restaurants, beaches and people. Your earlier video from Naxos helped inspired us to visit. We stayed about a block off of St George beach. Can not wait to return. Enjoy your extended stay.
Great job on choosing Naxos! However as the winter nears, your best bet for bigger town + warm weather would be Crete or Rhodes (that you've seen before) or even further.. Cyprus! They have swimming weather well into November there! Also while you're on Naxos, make sure you do a day trip to Amorgos and Koufonisia..look them up 😎 Enjoy paradise!

Kitron (Main Street Chora) has excellent coffee - the best espresso freddo & fabulous food. The staff work so hard and excel in customer service!! 🇬🇷🥰. My son got married on Naxos in July and we spent 3 magical weeks there. You’ve chosen the best island!!!

Great choice!! Naxos is not too small, and not too big either. There are people who live there, all year round... There are villages and sites to explore... Every day life , that looks like a holiday too..... I hope you love it there... I like the fact , that we will get a glimpse of that life, through you. Thanks so much for that... This will be a very mild winter for Europe anyway...
Hi Trevor and Anna, welcome to Greece! Just found your videos, so glad you enjoy spending time in our beautiful country. If you have time consider staying for a day or two on the island of Syros. It’s the administrative capital of the Cycladic islands and has an incredible history and architecture. It has a sizeable all-year round population too. Cheers. Rob
Iraklia is only an hour ferry ride away but it's probably too late in the season for a day trip. A nice beach at the port and Livadi beach is only a twenty minute walk away. Check it out for next spring.

We finally made it to Greece this summer after our original plan for 2020 had to be postponed. We chose Naxos and Paros, thanks in part to your previous videos from these islands. We had a great time and loved both islands for their unique qualities. We stayed in Agios Prokopios on Naxos and just loved the small village feel of that area! Naxos is a large island and we enjoyed exploring as much of it as we could in our short visit, I'm sure you will love slow traveling there when you can take your time! Thank you for sharing your experiences and giving such great perspectives on your locations!
Naxos looks so cool and laid back! I was on a ferry from Athens to Mykonos and we dropped off some passengers there. Now I wish I went off and explored too! Looking forward to your food vlogs there. I am curious about the variety!
As ever, great video you two and another fantastic Greek island for my wife and I to visit in the future. Im afraid were Santorini junkies and adore the place as we got married there, but are always open to another adventure. One island rarely visited which is beautiful is Symi. Check out One Day Cruises from Chora. You can get to Piso Livadi on the eastern side of Paros which you can see from where you are. Otherwise it is a long drive from the western side of Paros.
We are so excited for this series!! You chose the perfect island. After we visited Naxos, we immediately went online to look at real estate just dreaming about living there. 🤣 We remember watching your old videos on Naxos to plan our trip and now you're there again. It all comes full circle!
As Matt and Rachel noted in their previous comment, I also watched your Greece videos several years ago while planning our May 2020 trip to the islands. Unfortunately, it was cancelled due to Covid. What a nice surprise to see that you are back in Naxos as it will be one of our stops when we finally get there in May 2023. I look forward to following you as you explore the island.
I remember coming to Naxos many years ago (2003) and I believe that beach being very shallow which kept the water warmer. Hopefully it warmed up for you that day :)
Best of luck hope you guys have a blast. If you have not been yet visit Ermoupolis Syros. It's the capital of the cyclades, the town is beautiful and offers alot.
@@DelightfulTravellers Yes we visited both but there was just something about Piso Livadi and Lefkes that we loved. ALso golden beach in paros was great. Naxos town was our favorite place to stay no doubt
my favorite spots are the second hand bookstore, Lucullus and Girasole to eat, Diogenes for cheap weak bananacoladas...and the best place to eat (for us) is the Picasso plaka.
We love Naxos - can recommend you Paros and Antiparos as well. Our favorite local beer is ALFA. would love to see a vlog from the old market part of the Chora .)

Dining in the sand at Nikos and Maria down in Plaka Beach. Wonderful experience. Reservations needed if you want the tables closest to the water. That part may be closed for the season, though.
Greece has Digital Nomad visas, valid for up to 12 months (over 6 months and you are liable for Greek taxation). Might be worth investigating since you're on one of the best Greek islands.
Excited to see what Naxos has to offer in off season! If Cedar Café at Plaka beach is still open, make sure to go there for lunch or dinner at some point. Great food, but mostly nice wibe and great music!

We are planning on moving to Greece next year, so I just feel you ;) Just super curious where you found the apartment(airbnb, spitogatos etc.) and what is the cost of the rent, if you are willing to share that. Wendy - I love your comment. I'm from Noordhoek in Cape Town and bought 2 properties on Naxos island a few years ago - every time the locals complained about the wind in Naxos, at times apologizing that its so windy, I just smile and tell them it's a gentle breeze compared to Cape Town
@@carlaheskel8476 that's just down the rd from me in Sun Valley. Yes our SE is a different kind of beast for sure. We just batten down the hatches and wait it out. It blows away all the pollution. Just something we live with in summer.

Naxos was for sure the best choise between Cyclades islands to spend winter months. Btw...i think better to post videos not with a month delay...its strange to watch you with suim suits durring November ;)
