We replaced the really sub par mattress in our current RV, a 2017 FR3, which we bought used, that, like you all said, was just a big piece of foam that the previous owners (I guess) had cut off to fit the platform. It was a horrible setup, to say the least. Our first RV had a queen sized Sleep Number bed too, and we really liked that one (we also have a Sleep Number at home). This newer RV has a "RV King" sized platform, however, so we ordered the Brooklyn Artic Dreams mattress, 70x74, and we're loving it! I would also highly recommend Brooklyn Bedding, and we would've used that code when we ordered our mattress if we'd have been a subscriber a couple months ago lol. We ended up ordering and paying with Affirm, which is a great option to have available. Plus their shipping was pretty quick too. Nice review video! Mike and Anne

After buying our RV we donated of mattress to goodwill. Tried the top three mattresses rated by someone and ended up with the Purple. Two + years later we sleep through the night with no interruptions and the mattress sleeps cool which is a huge plus.

We have a similar queen size for the guest room and much more comfortable than our king mattress. The queen will be coming along on our rv journey👍

@@LyfUninterrupted two years we'll be on the road. Been planning for a year already. I keep a journal with the campgrounds for each state we plan on staying at along with sites to see. Can't say we'll be pros by the time we head out but we'll definitely be educated🙂

I would love a new mattress but ours is split. It has to fold to bring in the slide. I’m going your link to check to see if Brooklyn carries a split. Thanks for the great information and video.

@@LyfUninterrupted Hi! It is not hinged. However, it is split the head from the toe. So we would need two pieces 60x37 each. I didn’t see that option. We bought a 3 inch cool foam topper, cut it in half and have been using it fit the past year. It ok but I’d love something wonderful and not just ok. I hope you guys are well. We are leaving Michigan tomorrow and heading to Wisconsin. We really enjoyed Michigan.

Coil springs? I thought they went out with the dinos. Our house mattresses are all foam/laytex etc without any springs. Glad you like your bed though.

The downside of most latex and memory foam mattresses is heat retention. Ours has none of that. The hybrid design is the best of both worlds. Thanks for tuning in.

Our SleepNumber is awesome. The firmness varies, just like tire pressure, when we drop/rise in elevation. I like the (2) separate mattresses. This way I don't fall into the canoe my larger man makes. I love setting my side to firm or to less firm depending if I'm stiff.

My wife and I just bought a "new to us" travel trailer and the mattress, though new and still in plastic, was like sleeping on a grass matt on a dirt floor. To say it was awful was a compliment. We ended up buying a new memory foam mattress for our bed in the house and then taking our house mattress out to the trailer. And the in-plastic RV mattress from the dealer...well I gave it back to them and maybe it will find a good home in another camper.

@@LyfUninterrupted Yes we are enjoying our bus with only a few hiccups that Tiffin needs to fix in our 1 yr full warranty timeframe. Brian is trying to figure out how to set up our rv for his remote job he just accepted..so much for retirement. Yes we sold our ranch - left for fulltime December 30th and closed on our ranch on January 11th from the road and a mobile notary. Mother-in-law is doing as good as she can. She has recovered from her TAVR and WATCHMAN procedures on her heart but is still very disabled and in a wheelchair from her fall when she broke her C4 and C5 vertebrae. Thank you for asking. Our dear sister-in-law just took her own life on Memorial Day so we were in Missouri for a month with my BIL. Now back in Central Tx to pick up our e-bikes and get some other items for the road like water pressure sprayer, etc. Things we had on the ranch and sold but were too big for our rig. Through all of this Brian received a remote job offer so decided to come out of retirement for now...We will see how long this goes on. We hope to begin traveling soon and get back to our 2021 travel plans! Enjoy your Travels! Hugs!

Nice! It looks nice and comfortable. We bought a sleep number bed for my mom with her Parkinson’s. My sister has it now and she says it ok. Not the best. But very glad you both like the bed. Wish that beds you really love could last a life time but they don’t. We are thinking about getting another bed for our spare room. I’ll have to check out this Brooklyn mattress. You mentioned this new mattress is bout 2 inches shorter that your short queen. Sure thought you(Brian) were taller than that. I am 5’ 11” and we have a regular sleep number queen. It is just the right length for me. How is that working out for you?

The new mattress is the same length as the SN bed, but since it rests up against the wall, Brian’s feet hang over an inch or so. The air hoses on the head of the SN mattress prevented it from fitting snug against the wall thus making it a couple of inches longer.
