FYI, just because these are natural earth pigments and you could " eat them " doesn't mean you don't have to wear a respirator while working with dry pigment. Specially scooping in out of bins with a large scopper, like someone did in this video. I was a chemist for 14 years and people made an extremely bad bad bad habbit of not wearing a mask because they were working with non-toxic stuff. Many of them developed very bad lung issues from natural non toxic elements. Have a good one

Thanks for that observation, Deejay! Yes, all of our employees always wear respirators when scooping, dispensing or handling the pigments. And we recommend that as well to all of our customers on all of our packaging and website descriptions. And yes I agree, even though it's non-toxic you should still never breathe any type of dust.

The majority of the pigment are derived from iron oxide not from the natural rocks she found on her own

Hello, just wondering is it safe to wash the pigments down the sink whilst washing our brushes? Thanks!

It is safe to wash down the drain, however we recommend throwing away used paint in the trash rather than pouring large amounts down a drain. Washing brushes out in the sink is completely safe.

Earth pigments are not technically "biodegradable" because they never break down like plants do. They simply "re-join" the earth when disposed of. That's why they are so archival, never fade and have so many benefits.

The Terre Verte is the only one with strong transparent properties.

Fungus on your paintings shouldn't be a problem as our pigments don't contain organic compounds, but if you're worried about preserving them, you can use our Natural Varnish for a great seal.
