TRID is the funniest guy on YT! I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 41 years. My husband says we don’t need an octopus because, if I’m annoyed he can feel a disturbance in The Force and, if I’m angry, he can feel a shift in the earth’s rotation. He’s pretty sure the great “when you open your mouth, your mother comes out” argument of 2005 is the reason the earth’s rotation has slowed by three seconds, because that really pissed me off. 😂😂

One side means "oh happy day" although it has never been seen! The other side means "your sleeping on the couch" often been seen usually on a daily basis!
Your big secret is the fabulous sense of humour you share! As long as he doesn't take it too far when something serious comes up, he won't find Sad Blue Octopus on His pillow and have to sleep on his sad lumpy mattress! If he is as thoughtful with his thinking & deeds in serious times, as he is with his humour in light times, you can share an excellent communication & deeds to weather any storm. (Though he could have put a little more thought into the mattress! lol Perhaps he can think to go buy a new one ... the sales are arriving! Stay blessed!
I think the secret is to always make each other laugh. It’s hard to stay mad at someone when they make you laugh. That what we do. If someone is mad but it’s not something serious, just mad, then the other one will crack a joke until we are both laughing and no one is mad anymore.
I feel like my wife would leave it blue and stitch it together, so I couldn’t make it happy and then stitch it to my pillow for permanent disappointment lol
Another couple I watch has marriage ducks, and if they're pointed at each other all is well. One pointing away means one is not happy with the other about something, and both turned away means both are upset about something
It's so grate to see how happy you two are with one another. For my self & my wife of 35 years, I can safely say it takes work, respect, humour & if all else fails a white flag (try staying angry with a man waving a white flag).

It took me way too long to understand how saying "I'm in a really bitchy mood and looking for a fight and I'm unsure why. Dunno why and I don't want to fight but I'm game on so... good day to not press unless it is needed"... it just dialed down everything between me and my love. She understood it was angry caveman day. I understood to listen and shut up. - There is a three part question that sounds very therapy driven but I think it is relevant. 1) Does this need to be said? 2) Does this need to be said by me? 3) Does this need to be said by me now? ... that 3rd part... made me apply my brakes sometimes. But I'm Irish Serb so I dont like filters so... not always successful.
Instead of using a toy octopus, just use your words and state your feelings to the other person. Then there's no need to interpret anything and risk getting it wrong. I can't take relationship advice seriously if they aren't going to use qirds and instead say the secret is a plush toy. Do better. #frownyoctopus
Secret: Meet someone who laughs at everything you say, act like 8 year olds, have the ‘adults’ carry a doll and load it all on YT, buy a big house and accumulate material objects.
You two are hilarious and it's easy to see you love each other. This can be a great tool in a new marriage, but shouldn't be used as a crutch - 'How am I supposed to know you're upset, I didn't see the octopus!'. Over time, couples should be able to pick up their partner's feelings, and rely on asking how they're feeling.
When it’s good, it really good, when two people could make fun of each other and laugh and know that everything is just loving and joking with each other.
