Thats fantastic you are growing one of these Selenicereus grandiflorus Cacti, the roots growing along the cactus are 'Aerial roots' these cacti produce these roots because in their natural habitats they are 'climbers' and climb along nearby vegetation and they use these 'aerial roots' to cling onto the nearby vegetation, you can cut them off as they are not needed in cultivation, but I like to leave them on as they look cool looking haha, they usually start to grow the 'aerial roots' as the cactus matures after a few years, thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a fantastic Friday today XXXXX
