It may not have been in the budget, but A French door or sliding glass door would have been amazing in your bedroom, so you could eventually build a deck out there some day :). Very simple and cozy.
I look forward to watching your dream come to life in your other video. This is my first time running across your channel. You two picked a great investment to sink your money in. Airbnb is only going up, and everyone loves a perfect, calming getaway. As for your new investment property, bravo! I just loved the slant of the roof, it makes it appear way bigger than it actually is, it looked huge. I liked that little deck as well, perfect place for an outdoor dinner. And can we talk about that table? Gorgeous wood and design, wow, what a looker! I think an outdoor shower would be a hit! Since you own the land and you have a better homes and gardens kinda hubby, sky's the limit! I'd like to see a fire pit and grill area, that would attract more clientele for sure. I would also place the fireplace in the living room area, it's a woderful feature that you will be waisting in the location it is now. There's nothing better than gazing into the fire as you snuggle up with your significant other. Just a suggestion. I am definitely feeling the sage cabinet color. So grounding and soothing. Hubby did an excellent job on everything! I just love the open shelf, right height and color too. I would of loved seeing that echoed in the living room as well, considering it is a little small and needed a little more personality for my taste. It would of brought it to life as natural wood always does and it would be a nice addition to the wall in lieu of a table. Add books, candles, plants and coasters...ect...and viola the room has come to life. I'd squeeze in an ottoman for you to kick your legs up and hide some blankets for cuddle time. It's also the perfect place to house your board games, you can never go wrong with that. Everything was stellar, and I am certain you guy's went through a lot of cash considering all the pre landscaping you had to do just to get started. It will pay for itself sooner than you think. Smart thinking to enjoy this precious time with baby instead of when retiring. All in all you guy's did an excellent job! From the landscaping, to the table, to the tiles and the beautiful pictures on the wall I just fell in love with your labor of love, and I pray you guy's have all the success in the world! • At the end of a build I like, I save it for when I can start building my own. Your house is already perfect as is, I'm not trying to come in here and bust your bubble. I add these notes for me to remember what I loved or would add in. My intention is never to hurt any one's feelings, or tear apart someones design. That being said, you are more than welcome to use any of my idea''s if it should scratch your fancy ; ) • So here's a few extras that I would add if this baby was mine: 1) A nice rug inside and out. 2) I'd add a much needed window under the minisplit because you need natural light to remind you your not in a tuna can. If not possible there, I'd switch the t.v. over to the wall where the minisplit is and put a nice big window where it was. That t.v. could also be placed in the corner on a swivel wall mount. 3) A his and her's hammock perfect for star gazing for beginners, or a nice telescope to view deep space objects with the kiddos. 4) I ideally would add in a treehouse with thus said telescope. Or add in an additional wrap around side deck where you could add a spiral staircase to a small/medium covered upperdeck to enjoy early morning coffee, watch the sun go down, birdwatch, but ideally a place to have an unobstructed view of the heavens with the telescope. 5) Games, games, games from board games to a huge outdoor connect 4, giant jenga, cornhole...ect. 6) More lights indoor and out, regular and solar, on the table's, in the bedroom on a night stand and fairy lights all over the room's ceiling, the garden...ect. 7) Books, and more books. You can never go wrong with more. 8) Ok, plant's, plant's, plant's, oh and did I already say plant's?! Hello, because nothing makes a house feel more like a "home" than plant's EVERYWHERE. That rule applies to candles as well, and yes I do mean EVERYWHERE for both of those item's, lol. 9) Lastly you can never go wrong with a jacuzzi in my mind and most of Americas too. They don't neec to be super expensive either, INTEX makes one under a grand, you don't need to break the bank just to get jaccuzi vibes...lol...bye good luck to you =D
This house is in the woods, there doesn’t seem to be enough windows to take in the spectacular views, without windows in the living room it feels so closed in, there should be at least 3 windows there. The kitchen should have a window. The bathroom should have a window also. Without the windows that I mentioned, it feels very closed in.
This is very nice! The kitchen is inviting and the bath is a comfortable side. The living room is a bit dark though. Consider adding a bubble skylight &/or a strategically placed window to brighten the space up.
This is not our primary home. We built it for the purpose of renting it out so we can spend more time with our daughter. We talk about that in the intro. If we were living in it full time we would of done multiple containers and she would definitely have her own space. Possibly something we will do in the future.
