That's why I enjoy this so much. If I only give one person a smile from each video, I'm a happy person! Your videos are at the top of the list of smile inducing videos as well.😁❤️
Sometimes I wish I could share them in person with everyone. The videos just aren't the same as being here. If you two ever travel to Oregon, you have my invitation!😊
@wildlifeathome That's so kind Derek! I've never been to Oregon. It must be so wonderful seeing them live in your yard. They are just beautiful deer. Thank you so much!! 🦌❤️😊
@@goldiethompson6569 Its certainly a wonderful experience to see them as often as we do. Before I befriended Nicky, the first one, we were excited when we saw one through our windows. I never would have thought I'd be able to visit with them like I can. When we first moved here we were actually scaring them away because we had a garden in the yard, now the enjoyment of having them around more than makes up for not being able to grow anything out where they can get to it. We grow a few things in the greenhouse and always need to be sure the door is closed as they will even go inside to eat what they can!
🤣 I've actually been thinking of giving the stump a makeover, they've been eating off of it for well over a decade now. In the past it was usually just one doe we called Nicky and her fawns. Now her fawns are bringing theirs, and sometimes there just isn't quite enough room for them all!
Pawsome 🐾 fawn 🦌 video 😺👍. Your channel deserves more animal 🦌 furriends 😺👍. Just absolutely pawsome 🐾 and inspiring 😺👍. A big like 👍 from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮.
I was just thinking about you and “your” (ugh- not!) turkeys. I don’t know if this helps, but I chased Lurky Turkey all the time and he finally left. Not sure if this could be as effective with a bunch of them, unable to chase them all simultaneously. Also I kept the water hose hooked up with a sprayer that I used when it would reach. I’m sure I was a sight to the neighbors, but it seemed to work eventually. Like, months, so maybe he left for other reasons.
These turkeys don't seem to get the hint. I've chased them, thrown sticks, used water, the 22, firecrackers, and anything else I could think of and they return usually within minutes. Lately I've been staying outside with the deer when I feed them and let the turkeys scrounge for what little bits are left behind, same thing when I put food out for the smaller critters. It probably doesn't help that I feed the hens knowing they more than likely have babies around.🤣😂
I used to have a large format printer I printed small posters on, unfortunately it's now telling me it needs to go to the shop for repairs. It would probably be cheaper to have someone else do my printing for me than it would be to ship 50lb printer through the mail.😂
@wildlifeathome Do you have Walgreens stores near you? They're everywhere here. I've been getting pictures printed there for years, they do a great job. 📸 they always have sales too.
@@wildlifeathome printers are actually pretty cheap but the ink cartridges are ridiculously expensive. I watched a documentary saying the price of ink on an H.P printer cost more money per gram than gold. They even have a micro chip in it so you can't cheat by adding ink or it just fails to work then.
It's actually a bird food mix, I tried Quaker Oats once and they ignored them. Oddly they prefer this seed to almost everything I've tried, from apples, watermelon, carrots and much more. They used to raid the bird feeders so now I just give them a little of their own.🤣
