I rented the older model last week in San Diego and it is crazy powerful. I own the Vado SL which is much lighter but has about a third the power and love it. On this one, even on the ECO setting I could go up some pretty crazy hills, when I went to SPORT or TURBO, I was flying up hills I would never attempt with a conventional bike. I have now owner three Specialized bikes and they are fantastic.
This bike comes also comes in a model with traditional derailer but I am not interested in that one. I test rode one with the igh and immediately put my name down to get one as there was a waiting list. Found one at another shop online and they agreed to ship to my local shop. Automatic shifting with internally geared hub with belt instead of chain drive is radical and amazing. Will receive mine next week and can't wait to start exploring with a shiftless ebike.
@@sj-trekhaak4531 I really like this bike. I had them put a 22t instead of the stock 24t gear on the back though as it really needs higher gearing. Also turn down the preferred cadence to as low as it goes in the Enviolo app. Ended up raising the handlebars and using a wider seat from REI. Oh and change those vulnerable balloon tires to some Swabe emtb touring tires and you have one sweeeeet ride. A little heavy to get the rear end up on the bike rack but it is so worth it.

I have gotten up to 30mph on a downhill but can pedal as fast as 28 if I am pushing hard on smooth road and of course the assistance goes away around 28 mph. The only fluctuations I have seen is in reading different cadences for the same speed on different rides or in different settings such as slowest or slower ect. Its still Winter in Colorado so I haven't ridden in awhile but if I remember correctly I can pedal in the low 70's all the way up to 28 mph which is so nice.
At 1:25 you can see the rider's heel bop the pannier, especially if you slow the footage down. Kind of gobsmacked these panniers "specially designed" for this series of bikes is so close to the pedals that reviewers (and models in the promo materials!) have issues with it. Really wanted to buy these but found my foot striking it when I tried it out at my shop.
I hope yall can get these out to Kentucky. I have a turbo vado sl and really want to test ride this and the tero we have 2 comos and several friends and family members that want them too,
Ich habe mir ein Vado Turbo IGH 2022 im Oktober 2021 beim Händler bestellt und es ist immer noch nicht da,woran kann das liegen?? Ich finde das E-Bike super aber kann es sein das die Händler in Deutschland nicht mehr beliefert werden wegen dem Direktverkauf?
After only a few hundred dry miles from new I discovered pit marks on the chrome stanchions of my Vado 4.0 2022. Specialized told me to ask my dealer to put in a warranty claim to SR Suntour but they say rust is not covered under warranty. I am not impressed that a brand new £4000 bike can suffer rust despite never actually getting wet (UK weather is poor but I've never had this happen before) and that it is not covered by warranty. BEWARE !
