When people find out I picked out my wedding ring I definitely get mixed reactions. However, I said it then and I'll say it now.: For us, we believe marriage is forever. I'm the one who has to wear it for 40 plus years so I wanted it to be comfortable and meaningful to both of us. I wasn't into the big flashy rings that cost several months salary. I preferred traditional gold the white gold or platinum bands that nearly everyone got back in the late 90s early 2000s. Plus i knew it would come back in style eventually anyway. I was definitely right about that one! I'll never forget some of my "family to be" making several comments trying to convince us we would regret not getting a bigger diamond and/or a silver colored band. We began dating in September of 1994 when he was 14 and I was 16. 5 years later we were married on July 17, 1999. He was 19 and I was 21. We were told we were too young to understand what we were doing we would never finish college, we'd regret the ring choices, we needed more money in the bank first, etc etc. That was over 20 years and 3 kids ago. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Our story may not be the norm, but it's our story ❤️❤️

I met my husband when I was 15 and he was 18. I got engaged at 20 and married at 23. In August of 2022 it will be 24 years of being married. I married my best friend and my soulmate. Never been interested in “playing the field” so I thank God that I didn’t have to kiss many frogs before finding my Prince Charming 😂 I wish you both many more years filled with beautiful memories.
