Julie and Luke’s interaction cracks me up. They’re so perfect together; Julie enunciating clearly and well heard and Luke kind of quietly articulating underneath Julie’s words. They seem so totally down to earth and make you feel sincerely welcome into their lives via these vlogs. VERY enjoyable and lots of fun!

The apple picking was great. I love the garden tours and being able to see what blooms in what season. The animal episodes are great too. I’m looking forward to Luke’s parents showing treasures of the house. That will be incredibly fascinating.

I loved the actually educational video where y'all went mushrooming, confirming the safety with your app, cooking & eating them & Luke's reaction of actually liking them fresh, after all. I thought he was such a good sport! Isn't it so different to taste something absolutely fresh, as opposed to store-bought which we didn't like? Loved it!

My favorite scene is the one with your mother talking about the artwork of the manor, "The third piece of plaster in position is a reproduction of a very small part of the frieze from the Temple of Bassae in the Peloponnese, and it shows Amazon women being defeated by Greek men - which is incredibly irritating. Often when I'm taking tours around, I say this to people and I see women looking really quite put out by it.

All the videos are lovely but I particularly liked the scenes where Nestor was spending time with Luke to look at the photos that his night cam took or basically just the videos where he gushes about his rewilding project. It’s just something you don’t see everyday where teens are that interested in the environment and actually doing something about it outside of school work.

I discovered your channel via the pool clean up video which I thought was fabulous because Julie is just a fantastic presenter. But my most favourite video so far is the white park cattle. And, I might be imagining this, but there is an outside chance that I was that person who toured Mapperton and made the comment about the curtains. It would have been early 2000s . 🤭

Love your videos!! They are all my favorites. My ancestry is all England and Scotland. I spent a week in London a few years ago. I want to go back to see Mapperton and some of the beautiful English countrysides. Looking forward to a new year of Mapperton Live.

Julie, can I put in a little ad for the beautiful Chateau du Fraisse near Limoges? We know, ( I can't name drop and say 'friends'), but this family struggles on in their large house and acreage. They too had an American lady who married into the family, who helped keep the fabric of the building in repair..then..but life is tough now(they wouldn't like me to say that!). Hard work keeps the farms working. Visitors would be good. They 'do' weddings and such, but not everyone has a TV series about their house or their chateau.

Power washing the Pool!! I LOVE to Power wash! Getting the machine out, setting up, getting some rain gear on, not as fun but, turn that Puppy On, give me The Wand and Watch Out!!🧐 Dirt, stains and slime BE GONE!! (Luke should Try It!!) It is unexpectedly Fun!🤗 I think the satisfaction of seeing a sharp transformation of anything is what viewers find satisfying. Some like LONG detailed videos, some like a well rounded short show segment, some like 5-8 min updates. With RU-vid, creators can do 1 min shorts or post a single update, for people who only have a few seconds to take notice. I commend the Creators because it IS Hard Work sometimes. Some are exceptional, fortunate or lucky but, even for the timid, it is worth the Try!! Because ya never know what could transpire!😉 💙💙

I can see the difference between the American and the English. One is a golden retriever personality and the other appears to be an apathetic cat. LOL. I like it. This is why I get along with British people in general because I am far from the outgoing American. I am outgoing, but not overly excitable unless it's something I really really am crazy about. To answer your question, I really enjoyed it when Luke's parents talk about the history of the property, when Julie talks about what she has to wrap her head around the rules and etiquette and when they talk about the property and the maintenance and responsibility of being a steward of such beautiful place filled with history.

I would love for you to provide links in the description box to each of your favorite videos mentioned here. Somehow I missed the one with your patron’s family living in the lost village and I didn’t spot any references in the titles when searching this channel’s videos! Not only would links help people find videos to watch or rewatch, but I believe it would increase your views substantially by making it quick and easy to watch any or all of the videos you mentioned. Not everyone will take the time and effort to scroll through all of these videos to give an additional view or two... or more! Links provide instant gratification to your viewers and are a great marketing tool to keep people on your channel enjoying more of your content. @@MappertonLive Thanks for the link but I’ve actually already seen this video and when scrolling through I still missed the zoom interview with the patron who’s family used to live in the lost village. The reference to the interview was there but could the actual zoom interview possibly be hiding somewhere else? Side note: I’m definitely with you that Luke should have given everyone the appropriate dress code before setting out on that “little walk” aka muddy hiking adventure! 🤨🤦🏻‍♀️😒😉🤷🏻‍♀️😆

I just get the feeling of family as I watch history being unveiled in real time! Like a closed curtain slightly pulling back little by little. My hope is to go to Mapperton and actually see it in person, but more importantly for me is to meet you both! GOD knew what HE was doing bringing the two of you together. Greetings from New Orleans..I am a native of New Orleans that loves anything British. I've be watching your channel on the regular. My favorite was the one when you talk about your grandfather coming to New Orleans. I thought that you were going to say, that they made him king of one of the Mardi Gras parades. If ever you want to come to New Orleans, I am a retried chef and would LOVE to cook you all the GUMBO you would like. Tell Julie, as well, I open the first Vegan restaurant in New Orleans in 1984. Created the first seaweed gumbo. Hope ya'll are doing good, One Love.
