Mechanical reliability and support record of each company would be handy to be added to consideration when it comes to any recommendation of a vehicle.
@@Deatomizer pretty sure the lawsuit is to do with emissions, not reliability. if you look at the US reliability polls, a majority of the top vehicles were toyotas i'm pretty sure
@@Deatomizer Land Rover have a few class actions against them as well, one is for timing chain failures of many engines, prematurely.Their reliability reputation has always been at the bottom of the list, together with their customer service.Dont ask me how i know,20yrs of them, moved on to another brand was like a breath of fresh air.
100% this. The two fords and land rover wouldnt even make the list. All you have to do is google to find the endless stories of realiability issues and terrible customer service. Completely unacceptable for the price of these vehicles.
Lol id never buy a land rover unless you want a car that will break down. New landcruiser prado is the best bet but if you want luxury get the lexus lx
@OshoLee hahaha pls purchase the same and see if it lasts 400k km. Also don't take my word for it check the stats reliability is not what land rover is known for atleast not in the last 20 years.
@@realash kiddo, I had a Discovery 2022 for 2 years, its the most spectacular car I've ever driven. As long as you have warranty you will be okay. it didn't have any major issues, spent like 2 days in the shop due to off road damage. they are really tough cars, I even jumped it. I have many videos. They are too expensive in some countries like australia, but in canada it was way more affordable.PS I did off roading every weekend
Great review 👍. Maybe in the future there could be a category for best offroad 4wd (not car). Only vehicles with solid axels. It would be interesting to discuss approach, break over, departure angles, ground clearance, wheel articulation, underbody protection, crawl ratio, wading depth and traction/lockers.
I'm surprised the Defender won this category. Every time I read the reviews from people who have owned or currently own complain about the vehicle spending more time off the road than on due to numerous issues with the Defender. Whilst I do not own a Defender my closest friend does and the stories, he talks about regards the service department makes me wonder why anyone would buy a Land Rover vehicle. Surely these awards should factor in after service and reliability. No use spending $150k only for the car to be in the service department 50% of the time with little to no updates, leaving you with no car.
I have been driving Land Rover for 28 years with no issues or reliability problems. The reliability song comes from people who can't afford upmarket 4x4's, like all Toyota owners. You will find Toyota owners will buy a brand new Toyots, strip out all the junk parts (which is half of the car), fit it with aftermarket parts and then call it Toyota reliability😂😂😂😂😂 Seriously?????
@@Speakthetruthplease hahahaha - I test drive a defender and a Lexus and my god - there is a massive difference with how they drive. You are so disconnected in the Toyota versus the defender which really was not what I was hoping for. I know 2 new defender owners and they love their car with passion (not so much for RR owners though which can be frustrating)
Was that the Everest or Everest Sport? Shame to see only black interiors (except the Defender). Manufacturers need to introduce colour and light shades. Black is too hot in Australia and too closed in feeling.
Just remember that Drive is owned by Fairfax media a huge media conglomerate. All media corps have an agenda and they've most likely been paid by the car manufacturers that appeared in this video.
I replied here a few days ago and Drive deleted my comment which just proves the point I was trying to make. Posting here again. Drive is owned by Fairfax, a major media conglomerate who gets paid by car manufacturers to advertise their cars. The only reason tank 300 is not in the list is because GWM did not pay them. What you're watching is a paid advertisements by the car manufacturers rather than unbiased reviews.
