This next vlog was going to be a simple pregnancy update of our beautifully healthy and happy twin boys. But before I could upload it I received some tragic news, completely out of the blue.
A bit of history:
At my last scan I was 19 weeks pregnant and it was our best scan so far. The boys were doing their best ever and we were feeling super confident. We were also on such a high from celebrating their gender reveal.
On the 9th of August, I went to a regular 20 week check up at the hospital. I wasn’t expecting to talk about anything but a bit of a birth plan with my obstetrician and twin chit chat. Little did I know, I was about to hear the most heart breaking, earth shattering and painful news a mother could ever hear.
I am sorry this vlog is such a sad one. I completely understand if you can’t watch it. I know I wouldn’t have been able to before this happened. For those of you who do watch it please know that we are ok and if you are watching and can relate to this pain I hope it can bring some form of comfort and togetherness.

My mom had 4 miscarriages within the past 2 years then eventually became pregnant again. She gave birth Jan 8 2020. The baby died an hour after birth. All of us were heartbroken

@@CaileighSellars I lost twins at birth. I had triplets. It was an unprepared delivery. Natural childbirth, and not a pleasant experience. I was happy that one of the three survived, baby c. I understand the loss, the pain, the bitter disappointment. Going home to take down 2 cribs was beyond sad. We will forever feel the loss. You have a beautiful family.

Hi Romana me too I lost my twin and I never met her we were identical twin I was born first she was stillborn the ambilcord was wrapped around her neck my mom never named her so when I was old enough and could understand what happened I named her I didn't have to even think the named popped into my head her name is Nichole Lynn I miss her every day and think about her I can't wait to meet her

My sister had triplets. 2 of them died at 29 weeks in the womb, the one who survived lived one hour before his lungs collapsed and the doctors couldn't do anything... Both my sister and her husband were devestated but tried again. 3 miscarriages later they were found in their bed, laying side by side with 4 packs of sleep pills bedside them and some letters for us... This happened 10 years ago and we still are mourning each of the triplets death, the 3 miscarriages and of course their death

my mom had a miscarriage when she was pregnant with me and my twin. i luckily survived, but after i was born my mom found out she probably could never have kids again and she also found out i was born with a heart disease. it was a very long battle for both my mom and dad but luckily i survived my heart surgery and 5 years later i got a younger brother:) i just wanna give u a big hug, i’m sending you so much energy and love

I’m a twin and my brother was lost at around 6 months and my mom carried me full term. I read her journals to him throughout the pregnancy. I still can’t process what it must feel like but I just want to say I’ve never had any health issues growing up from sharing the womb, and even though my mom lost him I had a higher chance of living. (I’m an IVF baby and she struggled carrying for years) She was bed ridden for the rest of the pregnancy since we were high risks but it’s possible to over come this, and I’m proof of it.

PLEASE READ THIS..I could only watch up until no heartbeat. At 26 weeks pregnant I had a ultrasound my twins were doing great aside from one taking from the other. 3 days later I was having pains and I went to the hospital and one of the twins has no heartbeat. I went for a scan and neither had one. I had to vaginally deliver my stillborn twins which is the worst thing any human could possibly have to go through. There is NOTHING anybody can say to make you feel better. However, I am praying for you and you will get a little stronger day by day. Take it easy on yourself. 💖

My son is now one years old. When I found out that I was going to miscarry his twin we were devestated. People made jokes about doding that bullet about going from 2 to 4 kids. But it hurt. My doctor was insensitive. We cried alot and still wonder what could have been if our baby boy would have survived. I was diagnosed with twin vanishing syndrome and told to go home and there was nothing they could do. Not all twins walk side by side some were given wings to fly.

This exact thing happened to my mother with my brother’s twin brother. People are ridiculously insensitive! It’s not like “well, at least you still have one, and God still got an angel” is soothing. I’m sorry this happened to you!

My mom had me and my twin Emily 2 minutes apart 4 hours after birth Emily suddenly died from her surgery for our weft fingers (pinkie and ring finger)I never got to know her but every year on our birthday I go to her grave and cry because I didn’t even know her but somehow I feel so close to her so much love to a sister I never met 3 months after I was born my mom got pregnant again and named the baby Emma to honor Emily me and Emma are really close because Emma was born prematurely and we aren’t even a year apart so we have always been the same age we are exactly like twins look the same dress the same act the same and people always assume we are because because normally when I say I’m a twin they go yea Emma (we were in the same classes every year) But Sometimes I wonder if life would’ve been different growing up with Emily

I’m so sorry to here that, my younger sister was born in February, 5th 2007, she was still born and I don’t remember anything because I was two.. my parents gave up on having children so I’m a only child and never got to have a sibling. My parents barely talk about her and it’s really hard for me, her name is Ariel and we were three years apart, I feel like I knew her but didn’t..

I have a twin but one day i asked my mom if there was ever a chance of one of us dying which one and what time...and she said both bc in the womb i took all the food and all that so my mom had to have a C-section bc my head was on top on my twins lap and i was born as big as a pumpkin and my twin was born the size of my moms hand so her nickname was peanut...so she had a chance of dying in the womb bc she didnt get any of the nutrients but when she was born...she was fine and was able to go home in under 12 hours...were with me i came and my lings werent working, i didnt know how to eat or breathe and more....so i stayed in the hospital for 3 and a half months before i was able to go home bc my lungs kept ?failing? But welp i still have breathing problems...but i got bullied for alot of things and one of the reasons was that i was the youngest (i personally think thats not fair and its not right) When i was 11...i walked into my older sister talking to her friend and her friend asked..."how many other siblings do you have" and my sister said 5...i went up and tried to correct her that its 4 not 5 and she replied with "oh mom never told you?!?" And so ofc i said tell me what...and she said "dont tell mom i told you this but you were going to have a younger sister...she would be about 9 years old when i got told about this --but now she should be 12--" and then she said..."Mom was supposed to tell you when she thought you were old enough and mature enough..." My older sister was 2 when this happened and she got told when she was 6...3 years later after ive already found out....my mom still doesnt know that i know about my younger sister...ive become very independent in school now....and then recently we got new neighbors and their twins 😊but then later on they told me that they were going to be a triplet and it was a boy but he didnt make it😭theres a lot but welp i dont have the energy to cry and i dont like showing "bad emotion" in front of people lol....idk what to do im socially awkward...

I have no idea who you are as this was in my recommended videos, but I'm so sorry you had to go through this. Few weeks ago I found out I was pregnant with twins which was quite a shock but I couldn't have been happier, but I was soon filled with dread as one of the babies amniotic sac was half the size of the other which was an indication of an early case of twin to twin transfusion syndrome (something I had never heard of) but I tried and kept a positive attitude alas 2 weeks later at my second ultrasound I was told there were no heartbeat. Just like that I had lost my two babies. It's been a week since I've had my curretage and I started lactating in the following days. It's hard. It's unfair. I feel like my babies were stolen from me and there's nothing I can do about it. I'm with you and eveybody else who sadly had to go through something similar. xx

The waiting while they try and find a heartbeat is indescribable then the required 2nd ultrasound to confirm that there is definitely no heart beat is the hardest thing. Thank you for sharing your story sending love

I’m surviving this it’s been 18 years for my angel daughter as of December. We celebrate katelynn’s birthday then as that was when she was born in our hearts. My daughter Kirsten will be 18 in April. There is not a single day that goes by that I don’t wonder, that I don’t miss her, and not a day that I don’t realize I’ve been blessed with an angel on earth. My daughter Kirsten is the brightest light in my darkest storm. She was what I fought for, for 22 weeks. I remember feeling like everyday was a battleground, I’d pray just one more day, I’d pray for her kicks, I’d pray before every doctor visits, every phone call. But I prayed to be comfortably numb so I could survive and do what I had to do. My husband is in the Army and was deployed when I found out and I had to lie to him until his commander was putting him on a plane home. My mom had to tell him as I literally could not say it. After 18yrs, I know there is no rite way to survive this, there is no rite way to handle this, and that each of you will process this differently and that is ok. Lean into each other, not out and know that you will endure this, you will survive, but your not in this alone either. I’d also encourage you to look into the TTTS foundation, they were loads of support to me then. I’m sending love and comfort to you.

Im also mother to twin angels i lost my twins but my daughter lived for a month my baby boy passed while being air lifted to have an emergency c section his heart stopped my baby girl elexia lived for a month she fought hard to stay but her body was tired i miss lil robert & elexia everyday stay strong beautiful ❤

@Melly Contreras so sorry for your lost. So sorry to read that. Especially where e read that your babygirl had fought to stay. I cried a lot. Reminds me of my babygirl, almost 4months old, who died after a open heart surgery, she did not wake up again from the anesthesia. It happened more than 6years ago, in 2013.

I had this happen when I was four months pregnant with twins. My remaining baby had liver calcifications and they did weekly ultrasounds until birth. The doctors were convinced he would be mentally challenged or have a birth defect. My son ended up being perfectly healthy and he is now seven years old. Best of luck and love to you.

I also lost my sons twin at 7-8 weeks, it was so hard but I carried on for the sake of the other baby who turned out to be a wonderful and cheeky and caring boy who just turned 3 this year. I always wonder what the other baby would have been like and what sex it would have been and also if my son feels like theres something missing as Ive read about the bond twins share. It takes a lot of strength to come on here and post this. I’m crying with you, as I have twin 2 year old boys who also had TTTS and they NEVER knew. I’m so sorry for your loss my son and daughter in law lost one of their twin daughters at 27 weeks and my surviving granddaughter had to be delivered prematurely 2days later she weighed 2 lbs 1oz..she is a healthy 16 year old today..we will never forget her sister❤️❤️❤️😢😢😢

Omg, I have never really given thought about that when one baby passes it would release toxins and is dangerous to the other baby and yourself. I mean, it's just something I've never thought of. I know this was months ago, but my heart hurts for you so much. I had twin girls and one of them had spina bifida and she passed away at 8 years old. It was a black hole that was punched into my world and 7 years later, I still haven't recovered. I hope you find some peace.

@@punxie89 you are right. At 30 weeks my mom got listeria because of it i died in her womb. I was poisoning her as Well as the bacteria so the labour started. I was Lucky that it happened very very soon and the Doctor knew what was happening. They took me out and revived me. Both of us were very lucky. It was 39 years ago.

My first pregnancy was twin girls. I lost one at 19 weeks. Water broke at 22 weeks. The great doctors helped me keep my daughter in longer. At 29 weeks my daughter was born. 6 lbs 12 oz. After her birth she stopped breathing and spent a week in NICU. All the heart ache and pain. She just turned 16. FYI: 11 months after her birth I gave birth to twin girls. Yes!!! Both healthy. It hurts. But my children now are my backbone. They are the ones that keep me going.

No matter what he'll be there protecting him, from the heaven. That if he's gone it has a reason and he's good now. My friend is 23 and a real fighter, a good young man. So as you know. Thank you, for being the mother you are. For how hard you're fighting and trying. It's completely normal to cry out and being completely off. You have all the empathy and love, support from viewers and family no matter what. Knows that you're in our thought, no matter where we are. I also lost my child. I've carry her the whole 8 months but i didn't even have a chance to hug & kiss her. She only lived 42 minutes. She has anencephaly. This is heartbreaking. You are strong! Prayers for you.

I lost one of my triplets in 2001 after being hospitalized for stress after 9/11. My girls were delivered 8 weeks later and I love sharing the ultrasound of the three of them. The worst part was that everything was bought in peach, purple and pink and their names (baby a) Ava, (b) Bryn, (c) Ciara. My girls are so different, one is an avid horse rider and the other sings and dances ... I wonder who their sister would be. Love to you and your family, be kind to yourself

I had my twins at 27 weeks stage 4 ttts. 1 lb each at birth. They were 4 weeks apart in growth, they told us 60-90% we were going to lose one or both. Hardest thing. I don’t know how they made it. I can relate so much with being so excited about twins, boys, hooray and then the shattering feeling that follows when you hear bad news. My heart is with you mama you are SO strong. And an amazing mom. Amazing. I’m so proud of you.

Marie Mikealson same here. I just got massive grief for all these women. I have my first child now, a girl, and the thought... the pain this must be! I have grief over not ending in natural birth at the very last cm, and not delivering her in my hands...and why. Why? Yet i see this and i remember that God sees our pain and at times removes it and other times uses it to draw us close. He doesn’t always answer how we want, and terrible things happen for one reason or another; humanity is broken. Nature isn’t perfect anymore, and it REALLY HURTS. I pray peace and comfort over every parent and women especially here, that their heart wounds will be given salve. May we be comforted. Your pain, losing your babies so far along...i had a miscarriage before, but early. How much heavier maybe when you’ve seen that baby. Sorry rambling, just so sad. I’m sorry. Truly I feel for you all.

I’m so sorry . My daughter who is 29 was a twin and I lost the other, I don’t even know the sex of the child I lost . I’ve had 5 miscarriages in total, but have 3 wonderful children aged 19,24 and 29. They bring me so much joy but I never forget the babies I lost . Much love to you all.

Stay strong! I was born a preemie at only 1.5 lbs, it was back in the 70’s when there wasn’t the technology they have now, the doctors only gave me a 10% chance of survival and said if I survived, I’d be in and out of the hospital from complications but I’m fine. There’s still hope for the one that’s fighting for his life. I’m praying for you and your precious baby🙏💔😢

I am so very very sorry for your loss. I was 20 weeks pregnant with my twin girls. Went to my appointment and found out one did not have a heart beat. My body actually was absorbing the twin to let the other twin thrive. It was devestating! I am so very sorry that you are going through this.

We went through this same thing. It’s so hard emotionally, having to tell people, having to still be happy and excited for the baby that’s still there but still mourn the baby that’s passed all at the same time. And the fear.... Thankfully our little Sunrise baby is just about a year and a half. We miss our Sunset baby every day and always will.

I’ve never heard of them referred as “Sunrise Babies”. Here in the United States, we call babies born after miscarriage/stillbirth “Rainbow Babies”.

@@4WingedAngels sunrise and sunset babies are terms that are used specifically for twin sets that one passes but the other survives. I was using rainbow baby too until I heard this and adopted it ♥️ losing a baby is hard in all circumstances but losing part of your pregnancy with a twin passing has subtle differences that change at least how I had to heal from it

My mom had a miscarriage at 18 weeks with my little brother on 9/9/2001 because of domestic violence. I was only one but I had a connection with my brother. It’s still hard on my mom even though she doesn’t want to show it, but I can tell in her voice. You aware very strong I’m sorry for your lost if twin A.
