Not just at Disneyland, but just being at such a charming place and so close to the parks. 42 years old and have been visiting Disneyland since I was very little. We used to drive from Washington state down for 3 nights and then take the long treck home. We always left the park around 2 to go back to the hotel for an hour or so to eat, nap, and refresh and then go back and close the park down.

My parents took me here when I was 10 and I brought my kids back when I was 41. The staff was very friendly, the walk to Disneyland was super short and I’ll definitely be back. It’s simple but clean and perfect.

We stayed at Castle Inn with our teenage boys back in 2015. The price was very reasonable and the boys not having to share a bed was priceless! We would definitely recommend this hotel

As someone who always stays in those hotels when I go to Disneyland I actually really love the walk from the hotel to the park. It’s kinda become a tradition, it’s such a lovely precursor and so refreshing in the morning. I haven’t stayed at this hotel yet but so far my favorite hotel was the Anaheim. I love the 50s vibes and our room even had a nice porch to sit out on. Oh yeah and I absolutely loved the pizza place right in the Anaheim, so delicious.

This video captured the "vibe" of Disneyland vs WDW. NO ONE in WDW is relaxed! Our family stayed on Harbour blvd in June and loved the proximity to the park. My family who have been to WDW but never Disneyland did not believe me when I said "across the street." Better than WDW in many ways!

We go to the Cheesecake Factory at the Gardenwalk a lot. As someone who has to stay in a hotel every time we go to Disneyland, I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels over there, never these small ones though. We do a lot of walking back and forth. It’s good that you guys get to have these experiences like alot of your viewers have so you can kind of see what we do. Looked like a great stay.

Fresh Baked ,you have to do some more videos with you and your family staying at the different hotels and showing us how long it takes to get to Disneyland. Also the different places to eat out of the park. Even give us a look where Medieval times is.That would be a awesome video.

I stayed there in 1993...it looks nicer now than then. That was when the parking lot was still where DCA is now. We walked through the parking lot to and from the park. In all the times I have been there, I can not remember riding the people mover. I probably did, but I can't remember it. I remember the Monsanto house of the future though. That's how old I am. First trip there 1960!

When we visit Disneyland we stay at Park Vue Inn. Its right across from the entrance to Disneyland. We always leave the park around 3:00 or 4:00 to take a break and then go back around 6:00. Feeling recharged.

The Castle Inn is my go to hotel, when I want to save a little money and not stay at one of the Disney hotels. The staff is always very friendly, and the rooms are very nice. I've had many great stays there.

You guys are the most respectful, happy, easy going Disney parents I’ve ever seen. It’s all about your daughter and a lot of parents don’t have that same mind set. I’m sure it’s because you were Disney people pre-kids and you’ve seen the horrors but I hope to be a Disney parent like you two. Goals.

My Wife and myself have been staying at Castle Inn and Suites for years (to the point we get the rate for valued customer). We enjoy it, great staff, close to the park. When we go we hit up Tony Roma the night we get it. I am glad you folks got to enjoy it there.

One of the best perks of being from out of town and staying at a hotel. You can walk back and rest. My goto hotel is the Candy Cane Inn. Unfortunately they are currently under renovation. So I’ve been staying at best western Mini Suites. Great hotel literally across the street (across the crosswalk)

My family and I stayed at the Candy Cane motel back in 2002. It was great. Location was good and the front desk arranged for our transportation to an Angels game and back. Best vacation ever.

As a kid we ALWAYS stayed at Howard Johnson’s. Then as a new adult The Fairfield Inn. and now Candy Cane as it’s just far enough away to fee soo relaxing when I’m there.

Oh my daughter loved Goofy at 2 yo...he even pretended to eat her cracker she gave him. The next year she asked if he remembered her and he shook his head yes. This brought back smiling memories of 27 years ago!

We stayed there about a week before all the Covid closures. When I think back at it now-it just seemed like everything was normal. We had no idea what was coming. I’m grateful to see it back up and running and doing well 🙂

OMG… I love the idea of recording your family as they ride the fire truck on Main Street. We stayed there in may and overall enjoyed it. One thing to note is that if you stay on the first or second floor, you will hear the people walking above you rather clearly. Otherwise a great value.

Alpine Inn, aside from the novelty of the snow on the roof, is nothing to write home about. We stayed there, three adults and two kids, and it was a cramped and outdated room. You can find better and closer and probably cheaper. I've also stayed at the Anaheim Inn on a special trip and loved it. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is lovely, and the upgrades are great. The bathrooms were underwhelming (I love a sink/mirror outside of the bathroom/shower so multiple people can get ready at the same time!), but the room was spacious. Recently, we've taken to King's Inn which is about the same distance as Alpine Inn, but just around the opposite corner (right next to Garden Walk!) and I've found really good deals online for their rooms. It's my favorite recommendation right now because of how close, clean, and inexpensive it is!

FreshBaked, David, Liz, Sofia. It's been many a day since I stayed at the Castle Inn. It still looks as good as it ever was. The mime artist, the great Marcel Marceau. When he visited D/Land he shook his head in wonder when he observed how the " Characters mimed and related to guests. He is suposed to have commented that it made him look like an novice. This is my husband and my go to hotel (if we don’t stay at the Grand Californian!) it’s just right, yes it’s old, it’s been renovated. we always have a delightful time, the staff is lovely and I just enjoy it there. we always get a good night sleep it’s a quick walk to the park, there’s lots of good places to eat and the price is right. ❤️

Staying at a neighborhood hotel is so relaxing and sometimes worth it especially since driving is just well stressful. I remember one time I took a trip to Disney with cousins visiting from Guatemala. We got a multi 3 day tickets but instead of driving 3 hours back and forth, we decided to stay at the Majestic Garden Hotel and wow it was a much better experience than I expected. Didn’t had to worry about waking up early. Woke up at our usual times and was able to do everything in the parks while have the freedom to go back to the hotel for a quick nap. We also took the Amtrak too to get to the hotel because my family wanted to experience their first train ride and that was also a bit soothing than dealing with traffic and parking. I’m planning to do that experience again later on this year when the holiday season comes.

We’ve stayed at the Islander several times. Its great for larger groups as they have rooms with 4 queen beds. The rooms have minimal amenities, but its very clean. Would recommend staying there.

My go-to place. Every time I enter my room for the first time I'm listening to the main title music from "Sleeping Beauty" on my ipod. What if they bought that huge empty lot next door and built an expansion, maybe a bigger pool? Not that I don't enjoy the one they have. For a brief time during my last stay I had the entire thing all to myself and I was floating!!! Perfect way to kick things off.

First, I would like to say that its so special to see you all at Disneyland as a family! I have been following Fresh Baked for many years now, and its awesome to see Sofia and you guys having fun together! My first trip to Disneyland in 1981, we stayed at the Tropicana, which I believe is, or was, next door to the Castle Inn and Suites. Of course, I have wondered what it would be like to stay there! I had no idea the lobby was themed too! You really can't beat the location!

Thanks for this video, it’s like you read my mind. Been looking for a walkable hotel and this one seems perfect. You asked about the Little Boy Blue Motel. I stayed there for one night, as I knew I would be at the parks really late and didn’t want to make the hour drive home. It was fine for a place to lay my head. But by no means would I say it was nice or top of my list for cleanliness. My two major things I look for…a comfy (clean) bed and overall cleanliness. Bed was fine, but I would not stay again. Had some issues checking in, motel’s part, and also it was stated there would be breakfast. No breakfast to be found and unfortunately that put a dent in timing the next day. Thanks again for posting this. As I live out of the area now, it’s hard to decide on hotels, you saved me so much time on research! I will be staying here in February! Thanks FreshBaked!

Lol, that walk from Small World to your lunch is how long you walk from the American Pavilion in Epcot to your car in the parking lot, 20 minute walk. Sophia is so cute. Fun video.

I love Castle Inn and Suites! I always enjoyed passing by the hotel on my way to the parks, but I finally stayed there last spring and I really enjoyed the experience. I also like the restaurants it was close to. Brewberry is a great place to eat breakfast before hitting the parks, and Sabrosada had amazing fish burritos!

I stayed at the tropicana a few years back. Talk about proximity, 3 minutes from room to gate. It was an expensive week (6 yearsish ago) but 100% worth it
