I was at this show, I know that because that's me at 6:25 walking in from the left with the camera. In fact I did the whole European leg of the tour which lasted a month, best tour ever 😎
@heeler101 Little Steven left the band before Born in the USA album and tour. Bruce decommissioned the band in 1989 and gave each member $ 2 million severance pay. He recommissioned the band in 1999 and Little Steven rejoined the band. In the mid-nineties, the band came together temorarily to record some cuts for an album Bruce was putting together. All during the nineties there was speculation as to IF the band would reform. Thank God it did.
Patti is the best thing that has happened for Bruce..period.. They have a family together and have built a life. No wonder people commented on the Chemistry that was there in'85... I think it is still there musically and in the life they have together.
I was there and 23 since 7 days... We arrive 6 hours before the beginning of the show... A sunny afternoon, rolling and laying in the grass... An incredible evening illuminated by the powerful performance of The Boss ! Great memories... T'es le meilleur Bruce !
Bruce Springsteen is the BEST ENTERTAINER of our time,, and he deserves a LifeTime Achievement Grammy award,,even though he still entertaining..lets recognize this enormous talent and thank God for giving him to our generation !!!! Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce
Out for the night with my old friends... the guys gonna take the city... Gonna start just in the place where I'll miss you more... 8888k... when I am in the street, girl... well I can even feel alone...
Major back up by Patti and Nils...with Miami Steve doing other things on this tour....I first did school dances with Nils playing locally..then adolescence with Bruce....thinking about growing up sometime soon...
You all prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
@Brayan Diego thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Saw the Boss for the First Time 1 week ago. It's been a real experience. Too bad I never saw him with the big man... Great concert. He played 3.5 hrs!!!
Stevie came on for the encore at the English gigs and Bruce would say The whole family is here now. Went to 5 of them and they were awesome, even celebrated my 21st Birthday around Wembley Saturday and then Leeds on the Sunday- Such Glory Days!
Saw that a part of this video was used in making the music video for Born to Run. Glad I realized that and this is now my favorite Bruce Springsteen song. Thank you 102.9 WMGK for getting me hooked on this song.
I love the damage Max does with that little drumset, good example 1:02-1:08,you see these huge drumsets like Tommy Lee,Neal Peart,Keith Moon & others,I Know Moon needed a big set to fit his dynamite,so are those huge sets actually needed?Max seems to do all right the the wal-mart special,I know it's not a wal-mart special, just kidding, some drum expert might let me have it
you don't need a huge drumset to sound good. you need talent, and max surely has a lot of it. though the beats are not too complicated, he just got a certain style that is remarkable and awesome.
Maybe you should take your criticism elsewhere. There are massive amounts of people around the world that like Springsteen--and I doubt that it's for naught. I believe he's one of the most talented musicians of our time, and that the fame he now has is well-earned.
@heeler101 Stevie left the band in 84... that's when Bruce Brought Nils Lofgren in... He also wrote that song Bobbie Jean for Stevie and released it on Born in The Usa...his goodbye to stevie... stevie went solo and then came back on the reunion tour.... damn Bruce is so young looking here ...LOL
Wonderful performance!! Totally agree with the comments concerning Patti: she's awesome in this video. And this was shot just a few miles from my home!! VIVE LA FRANCE!
Clarence seems like he's having the time of his life throughout this song. From throwing his tambourine at one point, to constantly spinning and dancing :)
@joecas61 Finally someone said that..but she's always going to be in the band..she's bruce's wife...she's recomended!!!!!!!!!!! Long live the boss and the houserockin' e street band!
From "The Island at the Center of the World" (history of 17th century Dutch settlement around Manhattan), The word "boss" comes from a Dutch world meaning "master", it took on its modern English meaning from that origin. And among the first Dutch settlers were "Springsteens". The Dutch settlements included parts of modern New Jersey. I don't know if Bruce traces ancestry back to then, nor how he got the moniker "The Boss".
The other thing that i liked about this was the choreography, Tthis is 25 years ago -would I swap Soozie Tyrell's vocals for Patti's ..no Patti's are raw and different-call them off key if you like. My other memory of this fantastic song was that at Wembley, between the first verse and the second Bruce turned to his own image on the Big Screen and shouted "Hey You". Check it out on the (audio only)recording of the Independence day Concert.
@heeler101 Steven was busy whit his solo album- remenber "Bitter Fruits"?- later her in 1999 he joined the E-streetband again- now also including Nils Lofgreen, who replaced Steven on the Born in the USA tour 1984-1985
@heeler101 but he did guest on some of the encores in Britain the week after. I was lucky enough to see him come out and do Two Hearts,Twist and Shout/Do You Love Me? at the end of the 4/7/85 set at Wembley Stadium..it was magic..
Well, he clearly likes her, given that she's been working as his backup singer forfuckingever and y'know, he married her and all. Check out the version of Empty Sky from Barcelona or any live rendition of The Rising.
