A house secluded near a deep forest can be a great thing. Having grown up quasi in an area like that, one of the things I always dreaded was looking out the window above the sink at night and seeing something out there in the pitch black. It never happened to me, but its interesting how that fear comes form nowhere. For this family, it didnt.

The joke is, Roanoke is my anti-depressant. Cheers, keep up the great work man. Your narrarations are very calming, unlike other narration channels. I listen to these while I fall asleep, and I get totally immersed and can see the story play out in my head. ❤❤❤

@@RoanokeTales The unnerving "uneventfulness" of this story causes this to be one of the most chilling stories I've watched on your channel. No outlandish, otherworldly horrors, no Eldritch monsters. Just weird, creepy events that can easily be explained, to a degree, as just crazy people, which makes it honestly more frightening that this could actually happen.

@@RoanokeTalestrust me I’ve written essays and studied people my entire undergrad(psych)… life is a joke… one big never ending very depressing anxiety inducing very very dark and worrisome joke. to ice the cake, I got the rest of my education in biochemistry and medicine. LITERALLY EVERYTHING CAN KILL YOU AT ANY MOMENT! So I thought let’s study physics to hope maybe that has some answers… nope just more joke. Literally the antecedent of something can kill you at any moment and make an antimatter explosion big enough to kill you and everything you know, love, and don’t know if that doesn’t get you. Or a neutrino burst, or electron and neutron beams from dying stars, or hell, there’s even a statistical chance of you just straight up falling through matter just because the laws of physics says fuck it for one split second… fucking weak ass hydrogen bonds…

You know the creepiest part of this is most rural country folks will also agree just. Don't go out into the woods at night. Like, the woods are Terrifying at night even living there for years

Why on earth didn't the mother immediately call the police and why didn't she go pick up her daughter than telling her daughter to WALK to her Grandmother's house. Other then that is a good classic creepy pasta. Great job Narrating it, very happy to have recently found your channel and binge watched most of your stories already heh heh.
