You ever experience those negative thought spirals? The one's where you just keep thinking or worrying about the same thing over and over again when you really have no control over said thing? Those aren't fun.
In recent years, I've been doing self experiments trying to figure out ways to get out of these spirals. There's been movement, changes to my nutrition to help my gut, finding community to express and reflect with, and the most potent of all...Simply getting out into nature and experiencing. I've found that when I'm out there, I become so enthralled in what I'm seeing, hearing, and feeling that I end up replacing my ruminating thoughts with just one thought.. "Wow, I'm grateful to be here."
I aspire to have that thought more often even when I'm not floating down the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon.
I'm getting there!
