Falling Apart: My story of starting over.

Getting There

This is the story of how my career, my physical health, and my mental health fell apart in 2020. And how I was shown on a journey with psilocybin that stored trauma from my childhood played a major role in my decline. Then of course there's the question of what do I do about it?
I hope you get something out of this deeper dive into the beginning of my road to healing and you'll stick around to see where that road takes me.

Thank you for your courage in sharing. So many parallels, as my health also came crashing down in 2019. It caused me to almost entirely leave the fitness space and community before the pandemic, which was so isolating and painful. What's revealed at these low points is so life-changing. I look forward to following along with more of your healing journey.

I remember you having health issues during that time, but wasn’t up to speed on the full depth of what was going on. Totally get the pain of leaving the health space behind. Had to mourn that version of myself heavily, but have since begun softening my perspective around that. I believe what I’m working on now is fundamentally health and wellness, just not how most define it. How is your health now?

Very wise, I have a lot of childhood trauma also. Violence and alcoholism was rife in my house, interested to learn more about your journey. Absolutely, we need to purge. I had chronic fatigue for a few years....finally my energy has returned. Still on this healing journey

Right there with you Nicola! I’m truly happy to hear your energy is returning and look forward to having you here with me! The feeling of climbing out of that chronic heightened state of tension and threat is hard to relate to, but Im sure many parts of our stories are similar ❤️

This was a seemingly random recommendation from RU-vid and I hadn't heard of you before now. But what a story, and what honesty. Thanks a ton for sharing and I'm looking forward to the journey - wherever that takes you.

So glad to have watched this and reconnected with you. I’m still sad about the loss of the community you all worked so hard to build, but as you’ve alluded to here, our existence contains multitudes. I’m interested in your experience of unwrapping your trauma and how it has impacted your health long term, as well as your spiritual journey. I was diagnosed in 2018 with two overlapping autoimmune diseases that, combined with the events of 2020, also started my journey of self reflection and addressing old trauma. All that to say it’s good to see you, and I’m in. Let’s go.

I literally had the same problems you had, spasms in my muscles and pain in the muscles and joints and too much dizziness and low energy and bad sleep.... mine was severe anemia. I started multivitamins that had 100% of the daily dose of all vitamins (a b1-12 c d ...) and minerals and omega 3 fish oil capsules and eating healthier (less sugar and coffee and more veggies and red meat) and it all went away for years (I'm still fine and getting better)...

Garron, you've got such a rich energy. One that I can't say I've ever experienced before. Deeply grounded in strength and loyalty while also light and visionary. Feel so lucky we got to spend some time together this spring and am looking forward to the next time for sure. Your words have been placed into the furnace of fruition.

Hey brother I can relate 100% mold is crazy I’m currently in Texas doing hyperbaric oxygen chamber i definitely feel better than I did after these treatments but still have a long way to go
@GettingThere
@GettingThere Месяц назад
Tyler, I appreciate you for stopping to leave a comment.. I felt so good on hyperbaric. I think you’re on the right track with that! How long have you been aware that mold was your issue?
@tylerkee9150
@tylerkee9150 Месяц назад
@@GettingThere I lived in a house with it for almost 5 yrs I’ve been aware of it now for about 6 months I’ve done 20 dives so far with hyperbaric got another twenty to go. How many dives have you done?
@GettingThere
@GettingThere Месяц назад
@@tylerkee9150 I haven’t done hyperbaric since 2021, similar background though. Was in a condo w black mold for about 5yrs and health declined year over year until I was sensitive to everything and had a big nervous system meltdown. When I was doing it I’d say I only went around 10 times then I moved to AZ and started the shoemaker protocol. Always felt instantly better and “un-inflamed” when I’d leave hyperbaric though.
@tylerkee9150
@tylerkee9150 Месяц назад
@@GettingThere yea I was having symptoms throughout the years, but never linked it to mold. I would forget a bunch of things periodically. I was also getting the tingling extremities, but it always subsided fairly quickly, plus I already had prior injuries so there was no cause for alarm. Then back in December I got hit with a tidal wave of about 30 symptoms. I was totally on death’s door I felt at the time. Hey did you ever take legal action since you didn’t know the mold was there?
@GettingThere
@GettingThere Месяц назад
@@tylerkee9150 I honestly probably could have because a big contributor to the mold was the airflow design of the condos.. was trapping cool air in areas and creating dampness. By the time I figured out what it was I was so ready to put it behind me that I just let it go.
