Going to try to temper my expectation for this season after thinking last season ws going to be so much better than it was but it's hard not to be excited :) I hope Seifu has as good a season as projected. Nice to see those rating boosts, a shame there's no player development in 24 like we have now in 25.. would have been perfect to get his defensive ratings moving upwards quicker ;)
I feel Seifu is more than adequate at second base. I don't put a lot of stock in turn double play, but I agree his error rating is not ideal. If I correctly recall, second base is one of the leat critical defensive positions in Sgt Mushroom's OOTP video from 1 or 2 years ago. I could be mistaken.
It's possible I'm behind, but last I knew he thought 2B was still important, but maybe not quite as important as he thought it was a year earlier. Regardless of what he thinks, I want to build a team that's strong up the middle defensively!
I do think that you should crank up Seifu's steal tendencies and give him free reign to run (and bunt) whenever he likes. You don't have to do it forever, just this year, but it will let you see how he does on his own.
@@oldschoolsports I can't see that happening, even in a video game. Even with the changes in the rules this year to encourage pace of play and more running in MLB this year, SB numbers haven't gone up that much.
@@oldschoolsportsyou may want to sign him to an extension before letting him loose on the bases. If he steals 100 his arbitration numbers are going to be big.
How does scouting work? (Footall M. they have rating 1-20 so higher the better they know) due saw the cather after some more knowdlege drop a half silver star.
It's similar to FM, the scouts in OOTP all have ratings on how good they are at scouting Major Leaguers, Minor Leaguers, Amateurs, and International players, and there's also a broad overlay that factors in how much each scout uses upside potential vs. on field performance in coming up with their overall ratings.
I have a feeling that you didn't get a late budget boost because you still had money left. It still didn't make sense to waste 20 million, but it's bullshit to punish you for being fiscally sensible.
Seifu isn't a starting 3B, that is probably clear with not strong arm enough. But he might be a super infield sub, if now 2B doesn't work out for him with low Error. For sure he will be a good player to sub in as a PR, or PH, in later parts of games. Long term you might be forced to use him as this and not an every day 2B player. Then you will get injuries and then he will be top notch replacement. Wow, Joey Bart for a minor league deal. The guy taking over from Buster Posey in 2022 sunken this deep in about 5 years. Aliendo surely valued his cup of coffee seasons very highly. Whatever did he put in that coffee. Then he joins the Giants. Bart will be sad for that Duques family can now move out of their lowbudget house and buy a luxury villa by the sea. 🤑
