It's not NBCU, it's whoever owns the music rights to the song. They are SUPER HOSTILE towards anyone who uploads their version of this song. Sometimes copyright claiming, sometimes even copyright striking an entire channel. Even the official Out of this World DVD, which was only released in Germany, but still has an English option, has the theme song removed and replaced with a new copyright free theme song which is kind of / sort of similar to the original, but legally different enough. I own that DVD (I was lucky to get it while on vacation in Germany) And I was VERY confused as to why the DVD's theme song sounded so different and weird at first. LOL. Whoever owns the original song won't even let the show officially use it anymore. They have copyright claimed other Out of this World videos using the original song while trying to copyright strike others (which one they do I guess depends on their mood for the day. LOL). If you ever run into some Out of this World episodes on RU-vid with a different theme song, it's the newer theme song that showed up on the DVD that's copyright free. On a side note, The official DVD has a large amount of episodes from seasons 1 and 2, but some episodes are missing from the DVD due to copyright crap and other legal crap. And this is in Germany, I hear the situation is worst in the United States. The copyright crap and other legal crap (apparently there is a nasty rights dispute to who actually owns the show or something. It's complicated) is the reason this show isn't on any streaming apps outside of RU-vid and hasn't gotten a worldwide DVD release outside Germany. TLDR: Lawyers and their legal crap are evil and the reason why we can't have nice things. LOL.
