I also grew up watching Benny Hill. I used to watch it with my granny after Sanford & Son haha. I feel blessed to have been brought up on amazing comedy, amazing hip hop, and amazing art in general. There's so many clever lines that I love and all of his voices etc etc. Benny Hill, Mr Bean, Sanford & Son, Gomer Pile, I love Lucy, Golden Girls, etc...my granny and I used to sit up and laugh. I couldn't have been more than 4 y/o (b. 1985) but I remember it all vivdly. Humble beginnings haha.
Very agree. Few have given us all as many good laughs as Benny Hill. It was the highlight of the week on television in the eighties. He is sorely missed! May he RIP in the highest honor !
I had forgotten how precious Benny Hill was. So talented. I am now going to start binge-watching Benny Hill. It takes me back to a time when the world didn't suck.
@@hargitsingh4971kid don’t speak on things you know nothing about. Reagan and Thatcher were two of the greatest leaders of the 20th century. Thankfully Mr. Donald J. Trump is carrying on where Reagan left off. #maga #darkmaga
I grew up watching Benny Hill dubbed in Latin Spanish and I adored it. In my 20's I could watch the show in English and loved it too. Such a talented man with a greater troupe and also a very educated and learned person as he seems on the documentary about his life. I hope some day somebody makes a movie about his life, it would be very interesting.
i can't tell if you're being sarcastic as Benny Hill is a parody to other comics such as Python, Kenny Everett . No you can't find lame bland predictable skits but you can find genius' like Spike Milligan and his cohorts. Benny's there for chubby old men chasing young topless girls - comedy genius
@@mogadon7he may not have the sharpest delivery, but the silent skits are great. And, what do you mean by dated? That it's not " not offend anyone" oriented humor?
@@mogadon7 Good comedians today yes and pop up on tv all the time but do they have their own show ? Back in the day to be called a comedian you had to have your own show as many of them did
My parents used to watch this when I was very young but the memories of them laughing while watching Benny have definitely brought back some nostalgic happy moments. Watching it now I’m sure my dad (rest his soul) is still laughing watching with me here in spirit. Thank you for reminding me of some of the happiest days. ❤️👏🏼
My parents watched Benny Hill and I remember hearing them laugh and getting out of bed to sneak a peek. I was far too young to be watching this, or understand the raunchiness 😆, but I couldn't stop giggling when I watched. Of course I got caught many times and sent to bed 😅
I WORSHIPPED THIS MAN SINCE I WAS 8 YRS. OLD. I TAPED EVERY EPISODE AND ANYTHING I COULD FINE. NOW I HAVE A GIANT COLLECTION OF EVERY VHS TAPES,ALL HIS ALBUMS, TAPES , IF IT SAID BENNY HILL I GOT IT. THAT GIANT BOX SET I FOUND WAS HEAVEN. HE WAS A GENIOUS ....AND STILL MAKES ME LAUGH AFTER 40 YRS. PLUS HIS ALBUMS R.I.P. B.H. 😢😢😢😢
Benny Hill put a lot of comedy as well as truth and feeling into his acting. That's what made him a great British comedian and actor. So sad hearing that the man died too soon. RIP, Benny Hill.
I worked with a lady who used to work in a coffee shop at the airport in Australia. She would often see Benny Hill arriving to visit relatives in Australia 🇦🇺 . She said he was telling jokes for the whole conversation. Making fun of anything that was said. He died with 50 million pounds that was distributed to his relatives, maybe the ones he visited here.
I love Dave Allan too! Everybody I know never heard of him. They missed out on great comedy. I'll never forget Dave's high bar stool, drink, cigarette, & his partially missing finger. Being Catholic myself, his jokes were too much!🤣
Yes same here loved Doctor in the House too and Faulty Towers I remember hearing my Mom laughing across the hallway from me when I was a kid. Great memories back then.
When comedy was funny, sorry, hilarious, and all ages, sexes, races, and cultures enjoyed without any problem. The 70's and shows like Benny Hill made everybody's life more enjoyable.
One of the funniest shows of my childhood, I used to watch his show as much as possible. Every so often we are blessed with a true gem. The Benny Hill show was one of those treasures. Never will there be another like him.
Yes "Benny Hill" Helped Me Through Middle School, His Made Up Songs, Those "Looks" He Had, And My Personal Favourite, His Infectious Ways Of Doing His Scenes With That Little Guy, Patting Him On The Head.. Loved That Man.. Rest In Peace 🙏 "Sir" Benny Hill.. Your Sketches Live On, Through That Magical Miracle Called "Videos"
I was 15 in 1984. Seen Benny Hill. Late night. Was me and my Dad. My parents were separated. My father and I laughed so much. Until the boobs started popping.. then..wow. We started talking about woman and all. Thank You Benny!!
My mom was a bartender/waitress from Philly and New Jersey so comedy was just comedy and she never saw the harm in her kids watching and laughing at whoever we were watching. So we grew up watching any and everyone we could. So grateful for her. She didn't find Benny Hill funny but I always did and damned if I don't still find him hilarious. Awesome coming across this. Made my weekend.
Magnificent comedy! I love this show. We need more comedians like him today. The world sure could use some good ole laughter! And yes, RIP Benny! and those of the show who has since passed.
YES!!! Benny Hill was the move back in the day! We had sketch comedy shows here in America, but this UK import was in a class all by itself!! Good memories!!👍🏿
Grew up laughing at The Benny Hill Show saw a doc which stated his show was on TV for 35 years still getting good ratings when it was cancelled by the BBC RIP Mr Hill he brought Joy and laughter to many generations of people 😊😊😊
Benny Hill was absolutely priceless. His comedy is as good as it gets, what a talented guy he was. Thank you Benny for enriching our lives with your brand of hilarious comedy, an inspiration to many. A unique classic. We miss you. ❤
I love this guy! My dad watched this while I was growing up, and to this day I still watch him; I get my hands on any DVD of his I can find (and a couple of t-shirts). I call him "Uncle Benny" as he was like that fun uncle that would come over once in a while, get you laughing, and keep you laughing. Miss ya Uncle Benny.
This one of my favorites. I don't know how the did not have concussions. Benny Hill has saved my life. He cracks me up every day . As you know I love Fred and the sofiticates. I could go on and on ..,.
I was truly blessed in the 2000s when BBC America would air reruns of Benny Hill on a near daily basis. Who ever said that we can't share comedy overseas?!
BENNY HILL WAS SO TALENTED. HE CAME UP WITH THE SKITS. HE COULD SING, HE COULD PLAY INSTRUMENTS, HE COULD DANCE, HE COULD CREATE COSTUMES AND REUSE THEM AND HIS "RACY" SKITS WEREN'T WEREN'T TOO RACY. I LOVED WATCHING THE DUMMIES FLY THROUGH THE AIR AND COME TO LIFE WHEN THEY LANDED. I THOUGHT THAT WAS THE FUNNIEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN. PLUS, WHEN BENNY WAS IN DRAG! IT DIDN'T MATTER WHAT HE SAID, JUST THE IMAGE OF HIM AS A WOMAN WAS HILARIOUS!!! HE WAS A GEM. POOR BENNY. HE WAS SUCH A MISER. HE PROPOSED TWICE AND WAS TURNED DOWN. HE MUST HAVE HAD SUCH HEART BREAK. HE WAS SO TIGHT HE WALKED EVERYWHERE AND WOULDN'T SPEND A PENNY. HIS ESTATE WAS SHARED WITH HIS NIECES AND NEPHEWS. LOVE THE MAN. ❤❤❤❤
From the great age of great comedians!!! So sad the world has lost its humor and its greatest comedians that kept us laughing out loud. Benny always cracked me up big time, when he cracked himself up!!!! LOL
Benny Hill death by political correctness. Only those who remember those great weekly shows which always ended with the chase sequence can appreciate how comedy was funny before the PC Brigade began to teach people how to think.😢
For the sake of comedy and just having fun, it's rather ridiculous that the Benny Hill Show would not get past today's political correctness, when these days the media is full of eroticized content.
After dredging through a load of inane crap, TouTube comes up trumps and I get the best belly laughs I've had for ages. Thank you to the genius that is still (RIP) Mister Benny Hill. Nobody before or after you can compare.
Our city had cable before the town I grew up in. My husband and I invited my parents up just to watch Benny Hill. As soon as cable came to their town, they got it just for Benny Hill. We all loved him!!
Channel 20 WDCA (UHF. Remember UHF?) out of Washington used to show these 5 nights a week at 11 o'clock back in the early '80s. Watched it every night. Good times. Oh, yeah! Diana Darvey was out-of-this-world beautiful, too!
When I think if, Benny Hill was still alive today, they wouldn't let him put on this show. They would probably say that it's too sexist and racist. But, they won't ever say it was too funny. Keep in mind that he hired people from at least five different countries and also varied races, he was an equal opportunity employer and that can be verified.
To be able to watch Benny Hill , I had to wait for my mom and dad was a sleep so I play it on the little black and white TV on top of that it would come in on the UHS channels
One night, I sneaked and turned on the TV. It was very late. I saw Benny chasing bare breasted girls and about shite myself! This was in the USA. Thank you channel 11! Best show ever in my sad little adolescent life.
I remember a BOXCAR WILLIE commercial that played for years every night during THE BENNY HILL SHOW - late night ads are cheaper and the best ones would be on then .
